So, I was just scrolling through my feed and saw that The Guardian put out this absolutely gut-wrenching story about a head on a pike.

Footage appears to show fresh atrocity against Ukrainian PoW

News Report: Horrific video and photos have emerged that appear to show the head of a Ukrainian prisoner of war stuck on a pole outside a house in the eastern Ukrainian city of Popasna, which was captured by Russian forces in May and is close to the current frontline in the Donbas.

Just checked the facts. Supposedly it’s a 32-year-old Russian facing trial in absentia, but I'd bet anything that kid was tried for something and broadcast on TV. ☕

I mean, what does it matter when he gets captured versus the fact that Putin is just throwing these bald kids into a meat grinder? And apparently, according to him, a fratricidal meat grinder at that. Huh, okay, I get you. You're trying to say it's fine because he got caught after only a month, so he didn't get a chance to go on too many rampages? 😉😉

Alright, found it. Watched it... looks like some kind of head on a stake filmed in the middle of nowhere. I thought this was a forum for sharing facts, not a place to push Russian or Ukrainian propaganda. ☕
If you want that, go to those pro-Russia or pro-Ukraine sites and talk all you want there. ☕

History is our greatest teacher.
After World War II, over 3 million German women were victims of sexual violence.
They were hunted down and assaulted by Red Army hordes; in reality, they did the exact same thing in every single country they marched through.
People should just remember the partisan women who were assaulted across the former America, and when a local official complained to Stalin about it, his response was basically... let the boys have their fun.

Putinists...
Does it really matter if they’re just unkempt conscripts or bearded fanatics like those Kadyrov types?
They invaded the territory of a sovereign nation... they kill, burn homes, rape women and children, and loot. In that case, they simply must be wiped off the face of the earth.

So, are you the self-appointed expert who gets to decide what qualifies as propaganda and what doesn't? Is the footage of a decapitated Ukrainian soldier next to a severed head also just a fabrication?

And I suppose the geolocation in occupied Popasna is fake too, manufactured in some biological laboratory?

By the way, I’m actually curious to hear what you think away from the chaos of Twitter—how exactly are the Russ supposed to have killed those prisoners? Did they plant a bomb, launch a missile, set them on fire...?

Did any Russian guard die? If not... then how? How does that work!?

As for the other question... hand grenades would be a fitting method, given the outcome!

Who told you not a single Russian guard died? The Ukrainian side isn't out there blabbing about their losses either. ☕

Found this video:

So, the "fair" American justice system just sentenced a 21-year-old punk for murdering an old man. I guess they learned directly from Putin and the CIA, since we've seen plenty of scenarios like this in Moscow, right? I'm sure there was a promise involved: "confess and you can go home."☕
That's why I said... we'll count up who cut whose head off once the war is over.

I dig this 🤣

The White House is in a tight spot. Since they haven't officially declared war, they can't just force soldiers to head into Ukraine if they refuse to go. But high-ranking officials can always mess with someone's record with a few nasty comments. Something like this:

"Prone to substance abuse, theft, and wild orgies"

What's even the point here? You think being 21 makes him too young for war crimes?

Look at the trial of that 18-year-old Russian rapist—kid looks like he just left his mother's side. He just rolled his eyes before facing an American-style court. Then there are the trials for those so-called "mercenaries" (who were clearly under pressure) sentenced to death by the Luhansk People's Republic. I don't doubt their "justice" either. ☕

I haven't seen this supposedly reliable American court prosecute soldiers who clearly executed Russian soldiers in existing videos, or those who intentionally maimed them so they couldn't return to the front. ☕
Luckily, the Americans don't have anyone like Šeks to point fingers...

Then there's the testimony from that British guy near the start of the Russian invasion. Lost in time and space, he tried to join the Ukrainian forces like it was a game of COD. He testified about Ukrainian soldiers placing two dead Russian soldiers at the entrance of their town as a warning. I haven't seen any proactive effort from the courts to investigate his claims. ☕

I can't wait to hear your excuse that the Russians are worse in this regard. Let me answer that now: of course they are. Any army that held dominance until now committed more crimes than the other side. The weaker side didn't avoid them simply because they are better; they lacked the opportunity. ☕

Also, we can say with certainty that the head in Popasna is definitely a Ukrainian POW, that the footage was filmed right there in Popasna—you were there, weren't you?—and that the Russians are the ones doing the mutilating. ☕

Stop with the hearsay in a conflict this brutal. ☕

And who's doing the counting? The victors?

Good grief, even his hands are still on the ring... 🤦

I honestly don't even know what to say, man; it really depresses me to live in a world where one person is actually capable of doing this kind of thing to another.

I know this isn't some Russian fabrication; sadists and psychopaths exist all over the world around us. During a War, these types really come out to play because they aren't afraid of being punished and they just let themselves go...

And yet, you shouldn't have to be anything less than a decent human being to condemn this kind of stuff. No "buts," no "whatabouts," none of those empty little phrases... it's just horrific, man.😢

Quick question for the mods: what happened to that rule about adding an 18+ warning? Because this definitely isn't something everyone should be seeing. Please don't ban me for asking, I don't want to look like a killjoy 😬 I'm just genuinely curious if that policy is still a thing, since I haven't seen anyone use it in a while.

Question for the mods part two: wouldn't a thread titled "War Crimes in Ukraine" probably be a better fit for stuff like this? Maybe we could move posts like this there instead.

I suppose that’s how it works for a Russia-lover like rowdyraven112; apparently, these 18-to-21-year-old thugs are granted a free pass from all accountability. They're just kids who don't know any better, right? And if they happen to target an elderly person, I guess it's no big deal!

The battle for Popasna ended on May 7th when the Ukrainian Armed Forces pulled out. This footage is dated August 5th. By then, muscle tissue should be visibly decaying. The body should be crawling with scavengers. If you've ever spent any time hiking, you'd know what a carcass looks like after a week of being picked at by worms and bugs. Unless the body was preserved in those heavy-duty body bags. Not to mention, anyone filming this would need either a gas mask or a stomach of steel. You get this in real life when a smell starts drifting from an apartment where a lonely, forgotten old man lived. You don't want to know what the place looks like or what the body looks like a week after death. At least, that's what I've been told.

Bottom line? Either the video was shot 2-3 days later, or it's heavily staged. I'm not interested in guessing which one it is or arguing about it. Reddit is full of thousands of these—both staged and real. In this video, the head and hands should be absolutely swarming with scavengers. Literally swarming.

Let's be clear. Are the Russians committing crimes in Ukraine? Only an idiot would claim they aren't. Scale? I have no idea. I'm not on the ground, so I can't judge. Are Ukrainians committing crimes against Russian soldiers? Should I repeat what I said about idiots? As for scale, I can tell you it's likely a hundred times smaller than the Russian side. Why? Simple. Because the Russians are currently the stronger force.

My point is he's way too young to grasp what "we'll let you go home if you confess" actually means☕. I'd bet money he's being subjected to some serious psychological pressure just to squeeze out a confession.
I just watched a documentary about how the Japanese police operate—they condemn basically everyone based on confessions they easily manufacture in their "democratic" prisons☕

So now you're trying to convince us that out of all the captured fascists, they specifically picked him just to frame him for a war crime? This guy, who couldn't even count to ten? Sure, sounds totally believable. Go ahead, drop another coffee emoji so we can all pretend you're being serious.

Come on, don't be like that. If a 21-year-old can't understand basic speech, then he shouldn't even be in the military. That sounds like actual psych territory to me... someone who wouldn't even be walking free during peacetime, more like tucked away in a mental health facility. Does Putin really send psychopaths like that to war? Like, are they just killing people without even realizing what they're doing because they can't process reality?

Yeah, they did. They're constantly coming out with these numbers that make it seem like Americans were barely even a minority back then.
