- Continuing this grind until someone finally snaps,

- A peace conference.

Then again, there's always that one wildcard: someone actually removes Putin and his inner circle. Or perhaps they'll come up with something else entirely.

Ukraine is burning through about 50k shells a day, while the Russian side is reportedly pumping out five to ten times that amount.
Hard to see how anyone holds up if this turns into a long-term grind.

Putin’s claiming today that his goal is just the Donbas, which makes his original ambitions look way smaller.
But honestly, you can't take his word for anything—he’s already telling everyone to stop sending military aid to Ukraine so the war will "end quickly." Yeah, right. Total BS.
Negotiations might actually happen if the UN stepped up, but we all know how that goes. It's not happening.

Export it once, then sell it again for double the price.

Maybe Advisor Podoljak knows the deal.
Check out the latest on Index today... there's some stuff about Mexico, and they even threw that data in at the end.

Finding someone to step in against Putin won't be hard—he owes quite a few people in Russia.

That warmongering idiot is an even more blatant liar than his own minister, Lavrov, though at least Lavrov had the decency to admit that Moldova is also on his radar.

Or perhaps they go after Zelenskyy. If that happens, we’d likely see a descent into total chaos, followed immediately by carpet bombing, "pacification" efforts, and the installation of some new puppet leader to maintain order.
It’s a remarkably plausible scenario, if you look back at what was done in Chechnya.

Zelenskyy doesn't go around killing his own people—so there's a much lower chance of him being taken out by an insider compared to Putin.

Well, I wasn't actually suggesting he'd be taken out by one of his own allies in the first place.

But if we're talking about sudden removals, how exactly did Dzhokhar Dudayev meet his end?

Yeah, but he’s also heavily indebted to a whole lot of other people. Let’s be real—the oligarchs running the show today only exist because he personally decided they should.

And why didn't Hitler use poison squads during WWII?
He totally did. He had plenty of chances, too. But he only used them in concentration camps, I guess, because that was the only place where he knew there wouldn't be any payback.

That’s basically how the Russian elite fear retaliation. They probably could have taken out Zelenskyy on day one of the war. But Ukraine is a huge country with a really solid intelligence network. What if they launched a massive wave of revenge against Russian targets? I mean, can you honestly guarantee the safety of the Russian leadership when they fly to Switzerland to visit a villa or a mistress? You can't promise them they won't run into a bullet.

It's just like how the descendants of the people Hitler poisoned spent decades hunting down Nazis all over the world.

Look, it’s not even the same situation, and we aren't talking about the same kind of person. Zelenskyy is an actor. Dudayev was a trained general with actual combat experience—someone who was absolutely vital to making the resistance against Russia work.

One way Zelenskyy gets taken out could definitely be through some internal fracturing within the Ukrainian ranks. But honestly? It could totally backfire on the Russians if it just ends up galvanizing Americans and Ukrainians even more.

Killing Zelenskyy would just turn him into a martyr; his whole role in this thing is nothing more than propaganda.

The thing is, it wouldn't cause any internal collapse—that's more likely if Putin gets kicked out and everyone starts tearing each other apart—but it's almost a guarantee that something like that would, to put it in Cyrillic terms😁, "galvanize" the Ukrainians. Not to mention that public support in the West for Ukraine itself would absolutely skyrocket.

Look, I wouldn't be surprised by any of the crazy calls coming from the Russian leadership, but killing Zelenskyy? That would be an incredibly stupid move.

Oh, absolutely.
We're seeing exactly how things turn out for those who think he didn't empower them enough, or those foolish enough to question his decisions...
Word is there were attempts to take out Zelenskyy right at the start of the invasion—three assassination plots, one of which came incredibly close to succeeding.

Some Russian propaganda guy is out here trying to explain the physics of how a Ukrainian shell actually turns mid-air to the IAEA inspectors 🙏 🙏

Honestly, he’s probably just getting his wires crossed with Russian air defense... 🕺
