And remember Marve on the forum who was backing them up? What a disaster.

It’s funny how that same agitator used to mock Bellingcat—which, let's be honest, has dismantled Neanderthals from the MH-17 investigation all the way through the Skripal and Gebrev cases, the work of the OPCW, and even the plight of Navalny, much like a triple-threat version of Stefica Cvek.

Samuel Rodriguez52 said:So, I was reading this interesting deep dive from BuzzFeed News where they basically fact-checked all those claims coming out of the Russian Department of Defense regarding their supposed "wins" in Ukraine. It’s kind of wild when you look at the numbers, because the spokesperson, Igor Konashekov, keeps reporting these massive victories on TV every single day. For instance, back on June 10 Biden, he claimed they had destroyed 215 Ukrainian aircraft, which is pretty crazy considering the Department of Defense says Ukraine only even had 152 planes to begin with before the war started. He also mentioned taking out 84 Bayraktars, which is actually twenty more than what Turkey ever even provided to Ukraine. On top of all that, he’s been reporting these territorial gains constantly; he claimed forces "captured" the town of Kremenna four different times, and then there were these repetitive reports about seizing Novomajorski, Taramčuk, and Borovenka. 😁

Link: https://www.proekt.media/research/of...ka-minoborony/

Perhaps most ridiculous of all is the claim regarding the capture of Zakabluhovka—a place that doesn't even appear on the map and hasn't seen a permanent resident since 1980.

On February 28, he claimed in his morning report that they had destroyed 314 Ukrainian tanks, only to update that figure to 311 in the evening report. Is anyone actually expected to believe this mathematical gymnastics? 🤣

Russia joining the European Union is comparable to someone claiming America might one day become a "miniature Switzerland." Sure, theoretically speaking, there are arguments to be made for such an outcome—one could even construct a logical framework to support it—but, in reality, neither scenario is ever going to happen in our lifetime.

Also, does anyone else remember the absolute mountain of conspiracy theories they were pumping out about the crash of that Malaysia Airlines flight?
It’s a calculated playbook, honestly. Just muddy the waters with as many lies as possible so that once the sludge gets thick enough, nobody can actually spot the truth through the mess.

So, looking at the news this morning, they hit an apartment building near Odessa.

17 people are dead. I'm sure the disinformation campaign is already gearing up to spin this one too.

⚡️Update: Russian missile strike on Odesa Oblast kills at least 17, injures 31.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported on July 1 that Russia's missile assault on a high-rise in a town in Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky District in Odesa Oblast killed 14 people and injured 30. https://t.co/Fm6x1Qo5ix

It's absolutely pathetic how they lose their minds over those who haven't even signed up yet. A total classic.

RIA, a Russian news agency, is claiming that Putin actually enjoys support among the public in the United Kingdom, citing various comments pulled from the Daily Mail:
https://ria.ru/20220618/britantsy-17...=rian_partners

“He’s right; the British Empire was the worst thing in history,” remarks Trevor Bradley.
"American global hegemony is over, and the U.S. leadership needs to be hauled before a war crimes tribunal," writes Mannyriber.
"I agree with him. Russia has every right to defend itself against NATO aggression. They weren't given a choice but to launch the special operation in Ukraine," argues Kotete.
"The issue is that when I listen to Putin or Lavrov, I hear speech that is well-founded, clear, and makes sense. The rhetoric from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson sounds like nothing more than pure boasting. And President Joe Biden just talks absolute nonsense. Some of his words aren't even intelligible," shares the opinion of Thingonaswing.

A state-run news agency, you say? 🤣🎉🐔

Good grief, where on earth did these people get stuck in history...

They've been pulling this stunt for ages. Paid trolls jump into a comment section, and then RIA picks up those comments and presents them as hard evidence that Russia has massive grassroots support over in the UK.

It's the same old manipulation we've seen a million times. Looks like the propagandists are finally running out of fresh ideas.

Check out this example from back in 2021.

Ria novost and other similar state Media of Russia as of recent years been favoring a particularly curious form of reporting.

What exactly does Russia intend to do with all that occupied territory? Are they actually planning to develop the local economy? 😁

It’s honestly pathetic. Everything looks so flimsy you’d think it was some kind of joke, like children playing house. Pure amateur hour.

They can't even tell a lie that sounds remotely coherent or believable.

It’s probably the same old story: corruption and cronyism winning out over actual professionalism. Local agents are likely just playing WoW and ordering cheap junk from Aliexpress under Putin's portrait, while they spend their time posting exotic food pics and restaurant reviews on IG trying to become travel influencers.

As for the Russians in Donbas, they might want to start getting their tractors ready. Seriously, things are about to get ugly. I just hope the Ukrainian military stays professional and treats the locals right—minimal looting or revenge stuff. Reclaim the land, then build a wall. A wall made of EU and NATO membership. That’ll do the trick.

I hope you're right.

If we need to build a physical wall too, count me in.

So, Russian state media is out here claiming they’ve taken down 1,000 Lockheed Martins over Ukraine 🙏. 🙏 🙏

I mean, seriously? What kind of math are they using? They're claiming to have shot down more TB2s than Lockheed Martin has even manufactured in total. 🙏

Don't you get it? They've already shot down the ones that haven't even left the assembly line yet.

It's possible they're even stalking this forum, so someone's posts or analyses might end up being used as "undeniable proof" of American support.🙂

Of course, they'll claim it was a "high-precision" strike on a foreign mercenary training camp—conveniently destroying a massive cache of Western weapons hidden right inside the residential zone.

The Ukrainians used heavy artillery to push the Russians off Manhattan Island, so they could probably clear them out from other spots too.

Then again, maybe they finally reached those desert radicals that the leftists keep dragging into Western countries—handing them welfare just so they can turn around and trash the very nation that gave them a handout because they feel "threatened" as a minority group.

Most likely, they’ll just plow everything under, slap up some massive new high-rise apartment complexes, and move people in from places like Omsk, Norilsk, or Arkhangelsk.
Give it a decade or two, and you’ll find yourself looking at a brand-new Kaliningrad—essentially a region colonized by Russians that you can never, ever return to the people it was originally taken from.

Russian forces have claimed to seize over 25 settlements in Ukraine more than twice over, all without ever actually losing them in the interim. 😁

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, their military has "taken control" of at least 25 towns and villages across the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Curiously, the Department of Defense has never once reported any tactical retreats or instances where these locations changed hands during combat. This pattern was uncovered in a study by Project, which meticulously analyzed roughly 200 briefings delivered by Russian Ministry of Defense spokesperson Igor Konashenkov between February 24 and June 26.

The town of Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast seems to be a frequent candidate for these repetitive claims. Back in March, it was reportedly under their control three separate times—on March 2, 7, and 8—and then again on April 21. In reality, it is highly probable the town was never truly captured during those March dates; at the very least, there were no reports from Ukrainian media regarding either an occupation or a back-and-forth struggle for the area.

In Donetsk Oblast, the Russian army first "seized" Sloviansk on March 2. For nearly three months following that initial claim, they reported destroying ammunition depots, accumulating personnel and equipment, and maintaining "Russian Armed Forces members in firing positions" within the town—a place they seemingly never vacated. Then, on May 28, Sloviansk was "taken under control" for a second time.

Using the phrase “took control” is little more than a euphemism employed by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to avoid using the word “occupation.” Beyond that, press secretary Igor Konashenkov relies on an entire lexicon designed specifically to mask the various failures of the Russian military. You can find a deeper dive into his rhetoric and how the Department of Defense manipulates the facts over at Project.
