I’ve been on 10 mg of Zyprexa for about five years now—but then I totally blew it last December and ended up jumping up to 20 mg. Things are actually feeling pretty solid right now, so my question is: how long do I need to sit here waiting for them to move me back down to the 10 mg mark? Or is that even a thing that'll happen at all?🙄

Well, 10 mg daily is pretty much the standard dose.
Your doctor decided you needed 20 mg. But what does "messed up" actually mean in your situation?
20 mg is essentially the ceiling; you shouldn't be staying at that level for very long. I'd assume they'll try to transition you back to 10 mg eventually, mostly because Zyprexa can carry quite a few side effects. I was on it for a while myself and had a hard time with it—restless legs, itching, rashes... though, to be fair, I was taking other medications at the time, so I can't say for certain which ones were causing the trouble.

Yeah... I’m actually curious about what you mean by "glitching out." What kind of symptoms were you dealing with, if you don't mind sharing? 🙂

I’m looking for someone who actually understands schizophrenia or perhaps knows someone living with the condition to reach out via DM; I have a few questions I need to clear up. I found out something about a friend this morning that has left me feeling incredibly unsettled, and I don't think it's appropriate to air the details here until I'm absolutely certain of how to handle it. Thanks.

Look, I have schizophrenia, and I managed to conquer it through sheer willpower. For twenty-five years, I practiced "trataka"—staring at walls, rearranging the fractured pieces of my own mind every single morning—and now, I’m fine. No antipsychotics, no other pharmaceutical bullshit. To hell with psychiatry, unless you want to spend the rest of your life living like a zombie. Besides, who actually cares if you're having a psychotic break when society itself is completely broken? They don't give a damn—provided you have money and aren't a burden to anyone. You could believe aliens rule the world or talk to yourself on the subway; they won't care about any of it, nor will they care about you. 😁

I mean, props to you for pulling through, really—but let’s be honest: if you saw someone talking to themselves on a crowded subway car, would you actually step up and ask them if they were okay?

When you look at things from that perspective, society has been completely screwed since the dawn of man.

I'm curious though—if you suddenly found yourself unable to get an erection, would you try to meditate your way out of it, or would you just grab some Viagra? 🥳 ☕

The 20 mg mark is basically the ceiling, and you wouldn't want to stay at that level indefinitely. I’d imagine they’ll eventually scale you back down to 10 mg, mostly because Zyprexa tends to throw quite a few side effects your way. I was on it for a stretch once and it was a bit of a struggle—restless legs, itching, rashes, that whole deal. Then again, I was juggling a cocktail of other meds at the time, so it’s hard to pin the blame squarely on this one.

Sorry if I'm overstepping into your personal business, but why were they prescribing those antipsychotics to you in general?😕

+ today's motivation song 😍

PTSD. Short and simple. That’s all there is to it.
Back then? We were completely in the dark. Not a single clue. How could anyone have possibly known what was coming?
To be perfectly honest, there hasn't been any significant progress today either... I am still relying on my anti-psychotics, and I find myself wondering—truly wondering—what kind of person I would even be without them?
Is there even a clear line between neurosis and psychosis? Or is it more like a shifting, hazy fog that we’re all just wandering through? It feels so incredibly thin, doesn't it? One moment you're simply overthinking every single interaction at the office—just standard, high-strung anxiety—and the next, the very fabric of reality starts to feel... different. Unmoored. I find myself wondering if we truly understand where one ends and the other begins. Is it a sudden snap, or a slow, agonizing fade? It's a heavy thought, truly. A deeply unsettling contemplation for anyone trying to grasp the fragility of the human mind.🙄

There is a very thin line separating neurosis from psychosis...🙄

I get it.
Look, forgive me if I’m being blunt, but it’s obvious you can't just process an experience as stressful and fundamentally broken as war and expect to walk away unscathed. It is inherently inhumane. Of course it leaves a mark...
I’m no expert, and I know it's always easier to play armchair psychologist from the sidelines, but this is common sense. It would probably help if you could get a psychiatrist who actually served in combat; they’d likely have a much better grasp on the reality of it. 🙄

It was actually your "comrades, rally together" speech that gave me the spark I needed.😛

Eros – intense, physical passion driven by raw attraction;
Ludus – treating love like a game or a bit of fun;
Storge – a gentle affection that grows slowly through shared similarities;
Pragma – a more practical, logical approach to partnership;
Mania – highly emotional, volatile, and often unstable attachment;
Agape – selfless, altruistic, and spiritual love.

Researchers at Hendrick have found that men tend to lean more toward the Ludus and Mania styles, whereas women generally gravitate toward Storge and Pragma.

😛 🤣😂

Yeah, that feeling where people are reading my mind came rushing back. It didn't last forever, but then the panic attacks started hitting—and man, they were intense. For me, Zyprexa actually works okay, it's just that I end up eating everything in sight because of it, and sometimes my eyes just roll back in my head.

The truth of the matter is—if we are being honest for once—that women have always possessed a certain wisdom, both in matters of the heart and in life at large. It’s an observable pattern, really. When you look at history, every single tyrant and dictator has been a man... which leaves me wondering, quite frankly, what kind of women were standing by their sides during those dark times?🙂

Wait, you're actually asking me to write based on just a username? You gotta give me some actual meat to work with here! I can't exactly pull a whole manifesto out of thin air—as much as I’d love to vent about the state of the world today—without knowing what we're even talking about. Lay it on me. What's the topic? Some nonsense happening on the news? A rant about how everything used to be better back in the day? Or maybe some deep dive into why modern life feels like one giant, exhausting glitch? Give me the raw details, even if they're messy, and I'll turn it into something worth reading. I'm ready when you are. kaže:
Honestly, women have always been the smarter ones—not just when it comes to love, but across the board if you actually take a second to look at things. It’s pretty obvious. Every single dictator in history has been a man, which really makes me wonder... what kind of women were they dating? What was going on behind closed doors with those guys?🙂

Let’s be real—history books love to pretend everything was built by guys in powdered wigs, but if you actually look at the scoreboard, women were some of the most powerhouse rulers we've ever seen. I’m talking about the absolute heavyweights like Elizabeth I, Maria Theresa, Catherine the Great, and Queen Victoria. Those women didn't just sit on thrones; they ran the show. Meanwhile, most of those hyper-masculine dictatorships? They usually fold faster than a cheap lawn chair once things get messy. It’s like they build these massive, ego-driven empires that look intimidating on paper, but the second someone applies a little pressure, the whole thing collapses like a house of cards. Real power isn't always about how loud you can yell or how many tanks you have—it's about staying standing when the dust settles. 😬

Well, now you’ve gone and given me something to actually chew on... hmmm... and here I was, under the misguided impression that *I* was the one calling the shots in this relationship. My mistake, clearly.🤣

The bedrock of any psychiatric assessment is essentially your relationship with your mother.😛
Honestly, I should probably just take my pill right now; Dirac has me completely worked up, and I really need to maintain some semblance of self-control.🙂

I was flipping through this book earlier, and it claims the true definition of a human being is simply "a two-legged creature that lacks gratitude." 🤷
