bluewalker92 said:That’s exactly what I was getting at. Honestly, why bother? Just tune out the idiot (you know the one) and don't go linking him to the Cohort, because he probably isn't even part of it anyway... Let's just focus on us, our club, and the crew... We've got new games coming up, let's go grab that first win this spring. Let's get the squad hyped so maybe we actually have something to show for it next year. As for big events, we've got the birthday bash at Santa Monica in a month..

Exactly that. Killer post and the choreo was spot on. A solid 5/5

While I have a deep affection for the armada, I have to admit that the presentation during the match against Real Madrid at San Francisco was genuinely impressive. There was an undeniable spark to the choreography, and the sheer scale of the flaresβ€”certainly more impactful than most other groups, with the exception of the fansβ€”was truly commendable.

I won't go so far as to praise my own group, as actions tend to speak louder than words, but I will say this: this was an old concept that the younger generations managed to pull offβ€”and certainly more effectively than we ever could have ten years ago. Anyone paying close attention can see how much metaphor is woven into the presentation: from the ocean imagery on the fence, to the galleys sailing despite the headwinds (those poor results), all set against a backdrop of sea and sky rendered through blue, light blue, and white flags, punctuated by lightning-like strobes and blue smoke clouds. The message is quite clear...
Putting on a show like that in just a few minutes comes at a cost: lost time, immense effort, and not to mention the money. Let it be known that some people have been sidelined because of the pyrotechnics, and one person nearly lost their fingers while trying to secure the stakes. It’s worth noting...

Great choreography. I really liked how the group spread out from the center; it made the whole section look completely packed... We noticed there wasn't a sail on the third "mast," but we figured you guys left it off just to keep us from giving you a hard time about it... Honestly, you could have included itβ€”it never would have crossed our minds to mess with you 🀣

Take a look at figure 6; there was really no need for such an elaborate display...
Though, I suppose we were short about 30% on attendance if we wanted everyone in the stands holding a flag...

Come on, guys. That choreography was absolutely incredible. The fact that we’ve already burned through five or six pages just talking about it is all the proof you need. Hats off to them.

Heh, go ahead and mess aroundβ€”I literally couldn't care less. As long as the choreo worked, I'm happy. And yeah, about that third sailβ€”we just didn't do it, end of story. Besides, even if we wanted to, we couldn't because of the crowd standing right thereβ€”plus, if you look closely, that sand is so piled up you could build a pyramid out of it; you wouldn't even be able to see the hull of the galley. That's all there is to it.

San Francisco should really take a page out of their fans' book

The league would be way more interesting, both on the pitch and in the stands, if they actually followed suit. πŸ‘

Huge props to the pirates; it’s a massive step forward.
The concept for the choreo, the chanting, the flares... everything gets a 5/5 from me.
But honestly, how would you guys objectively rate our performance?
How can you possibly try to spin those flare displays to look better than they were? (maybe even on paper)
Cheers!

You all are fewer in number and occasionally quite loud. I suspect this is due to everyone saving their cash for Wednesday and perhaps upcoming Easter celebrations. I had grown accustomed to seeing more of you arrive during the second half, so this lull was somewhat surprising. If we look at the displays, the fencing was poorly executedβ€”in my opinion, there were far too many subgroup banners without enough coverageβ€”and while they highlighted that old "Purgeri" banner, the pyrotechnics were definitely underwhelming given the size of the crowd. The message itself was appropriate and well-timed. All things considered, you performed better in previous seasons...

It’s not like they just started setting off flares now😁, they had a massive flare display back in San Antonio too.

Things are starting to pick up; you guys are really beginning to look the part.

The pirates did an incredible job with the flares and keeping the energy up for most of the match against LA Galaxy.

Since I see people bringing up songs, I figured I'd toss this in:

-My heart suffers in silence...

-For you, I’d dive into the deep blue just to bring back shining pearls...

I don't think anyone else mentioned these on previous pages... they were the first ones to pull them out... and man, these tracks are top-tier. Same goes for "Because of Her, I'm Overjoyed," "We Stand in the West," and "God, How I Love San Francisco"...

Unfortunately, they haven't really blown up on YouTube or the forums, so a lot of people don't even know about those pirate songs. To me, in terms of pure originality, they actually beat out the Ultras and our own stuff. I went to Ocean Beach a few times for regular games (not against LA Galaxy), and honestly, they're the only ones in the American scene with that specific vibe and spirit. Even if they aren't the biggest group, they're always at the top for me... seriously, where are the San Francisco fans?😍

And when it comes to San Francisco-style, the king is the absolute greatest...😁

The best song the pirates ever had was "Living in San Francisco, a city of slobs"... but those were different times... nowadays you've all cleaned yourselves up, stopped wearing Chuck Taylors...πŸ˜‰
