Since he’s switched sides, his younger brother believes the Navy will give him a warm welcome. "Look, we’re professionals. The Kansas City Chiefs is our club now. I’m confident the Navy and all the fans in Cleveland will get that and give us a proper greeting when we step onto the field wearing the Chiefs jersey", says Unknown, adding that his phone hasn't stopped ringing with calls from Cleveland lately: "A lot of people are bummed we left, but everyone has been calling to congratulate us on the move to the Chiefs and wish us nothing but the best."

I’m hoping this whole thing ends in a total wreck, just like a guy walking away on a broken leg... except this time, instead of Mladenović... hm... maybe Cagi could settle the score once and for all. 😁

Why is everyone getting so worked up? Honestly, the team would’ve been toast if that legendary local coach hadn't saved us by signing those brothers. All we can do now is pray he actually plays for the jersey—otherwise, we might as well just take a stroll through Miami and enjoy the vibes there. A Sunday at the stadium could end up being as quiet as a walk along the pier near the Unknown's old hangout...

Just attacking the status quo here, so let's get into it.

The end began back in 99/00...

That was the beginning of the end for the Navy, which was born from that youthful, rebellious urge to identify with our city, our region, and America.

After they robbed us of the championship at San Francisco in front of a packed stadium against Indianapolis, nobody even flinched. The Navy just went home and that was that. Whether it happened in Miami, Belgrade, Greece, Turkey, Italy, or Spain, it shouldn't have just been the fans turning the stadium, the city, or the country upside down—it should have been the citizens of the city itself. But the Navy quietly left the stadium, just like the management and the city fathers did.

From this point forward, I’ll list examples of how once a massive group—second only to The 12th Man, the best and craziest out there—started sinking... without creativity, without pure political awareness, and without any imagination for spectacle or provocation.

The Navy memorial plaque
Who approved that memorial plaque? The water department or the Navy leadership? Or did Smith create it? Others have one, so where is ours?
Where is the cross on that memorial plaque? The cross that represents us Catholics, in the churches where we were baptized during the communist era, in the churches where we prayed for Cleveland's victories, the blessing we received when we defended the homeland against the Mexicans?
Where is that cross????

Banners
Sunshine Daycare banners, white and blue, looking like we're Philadelphia or some irrelevant second-division club. Where are the banners on par with the Italians, Argentines, or Brazilians, featuring flags in other colors, black, tricolors, etc.? Where is the vision?

Germany 2006 and World Cup 2008
What kind of banners were those? You practically need a microscope to read "Navy" or see an image to realize it was even us. Where were the Vatican flags used against the Turks? The 12th Man had them—where were ours? Not just at that game, but in general? The 12th Man pulled a stunt with a banner against money in football, so what are we doing?!!

Smith, this communist city, and us
Why did we march onto the Boardwalk back in '86? To change the city's identity, and we succeeded. Why did we go to war in '92? To defend the homeland against the Mexicans, and we succeeded there too, just like we changed the government of the country, though not the city.
Who in the Navy doesn't see that the Democratic Party, led by Lin and now Smith, has destroyed this city? Who in the Navy won't lead the masses to get rid of these deadbeats and communist bureaucrats who don't work a single day in their lives, to actually change the city? Who doesn't answer to this state of affairs where San Diego has passed us by, and Washington, D.C. feels like a different world compared to us?
WHO??

Vanja is leaving and screw Mamic
Only a group of idiots could be cheering right now, people who know nothing about the background of the sale—that Jamal was pulling the strings while Smith is the main culprit. Why didn't we call out Smith, who hands over $233 $20 million from the budget?? Why didn't we march onto the Boardwalk in front of the city and protest, or go to the boss and demand an answer if the club goes bankrupt because of him???
WHO failed to lead that charge??

Navy merchandise
Are we, as a supporter group, the owners of that shop and our Navy brand? Where is the brand registered? Does the money from selling those props, shirts, scarves, etc., actually go to us as a group? Who handles the rent and the payments? Do all our members receive an annual report on what was bought and earned??
Who thinks they have a right to our name and deals with it, effectively being responsible for it?

Songs
Our favorite song about Cleveland is a tragedy—a lullaby, a boring, lifeless song. We are fans; we need an adrenaline fix to carry the whole stadium, like Thompson's "Lijepa si" or when they play at the stadium in Miami... where is our song that gives me goosebumps down to my soul?!!!

Forums and media
We are left with only the club as a way to publish things; why doesn't the Navy have its own media outlet? Where did it disappear to?

On the homepage today, there's some statement from ON... written so stupidly about that hack Jamal. ON is just a puppet for Jamal and Smith, who together destroyed the club. Who followed what the Navy writes in the media? NOBODY. If it were a graffiti or a meme about Hajduk, you'd see it everywhere... we can't even get the media to pay attention anymore.

I’m writing this in the slim hope that we finally see some real shakeups within the Navy leadership and the circles surrounding them. I truly hope we can reclaim the reputation we built from our early days all the way up through our run in Indianapolis. I’m holding out hope that these changes will finally purge the people who are more interested in their private dealings with Smith than anything else, allowing the Navy to actually get creative again, kick those local thugs out of town, and breathe some much-needed life back into both the club and the fans.

In the hope that we'll actually show some spirit... maybe we could welcome Jamal and his crew with a massive Israeli flag and a loud "Welcome to Israel," making sure they don't get a moment of peace at the stadium near the waterfront, and perhaps even channeling that 80s energy by setting the stands on fire. I just want to see new banners being raised and a completely different chapter being written for us.

They say hope dies last, and I suppose I’m still hoping...

Austin Watson38 said:Ran into this mess—might as well just throw it all in.

The end is near—99/00...

This was essentially the beginning of the end for the Navy—that whole movement born out of youthful rebellion and that desperate need to find an identity through one's city, region, and America.

After they robbed us of that win in San Francisco—with a packed house against Indianapolis—nobody even blinked. Not a single soul cared. The Navy just headed home and that was that. It shouldn't matter if this happened in Miami, Belgrade, Greece, Turkey, Italy, or Spain; a moment like that should have seen more than just the fans turning the stadium, the city, or even the whole country upside down. It should have reached the citizens, too. But no—the Navy quietly slipped out of the stadium, leaving the front office and the city officials to enjoy the silence.

What follows is a collection of examples showing how one massive supporter group—even one as legendary as The 12th Man—can completely lose its way... lacking any creative spark, political awareness, or even the slightest bit of imagination when it comes to putting on a show or making a statement.

The Armada memorial plaque—really?
Who actually greenlit the memorial plaque? Was it the Water Department or the Navy leadership? Or did Smith just decide to design it himself—as if we needed more of that? Other cities have them already—so where's ours?
Where exactly is the mention of the Cross on that memorial plaque? Is there any nod to the Catholic faith that raised us—the same faith we held onto in churches during the communist era, the ones where we prayed for Cleveland’s victories, or the blessings we sought while defending our homeland against the Mexicans?
So, where exactly is this crisis hiding?

Banners?
The banners at Sunshine Daycare—all white and blue—make us look like Philadelphia or some random second-division club. Where’s the flair? Where are the banners that actually rival the Italians, Argentines, or Brazilians—maybe something with black accents, tricolors, or just actual style?

Germany in 2006—and then there was that World Cup 2008 run.
What kind of banners are we even talking about? You’d need a microscope to actually read "Armada" or even tell if they were there at all. And where were those Vatican flags when we were facing off against Turkey? The 12th Man had them on display—so where were ours? Not just during that specific match, but generally? The 12th Man pulled that stunt with the banner against big money in football, so what exactly does that make us?

Smith—a city built on mismanagement and us.
Why did we march 86 people down Main Street—to overhaul our city's identity? Well, mission accomplished. Why did we head into a war in '92—to defend the homeland from the Mexicans? We pulled that off too, along with shifting the national government... though clearly, we couldn't manage the local one.
Does anyone else in the Navy fail to see how the Democratic Party—with Lin and now Smith—has effectively gutted this city? Is it too much to ask for the Navy to actually mobilize the people and clear out these lazy bureaucrats who haven't worked a single real day in their lives? We need change. Who can actually stand seeing our city fall behind while San Diego thrives and Washington, D.C. operates on an entirely different level?
Who exactly?

So, Vanja is heading out—and Mamic is basically screwing you over.
The crowd cheering was nothing more than a group of idiots who clearly have no clue about the backstory here—that Jamal was just the frontman while the real culprit, Smith, is the one actually pulling the strings. Why aren't we calling out Smith, the guy actually providing the funding? $233 A budget of $20 million? Really? Why didn't anyone head down to Main Street to protest in front of City Hall—maybe then the Mayor would actually answer if the club goes bankrupt while he's busy playing hooky on vacation?
And who exactly didn't lead them?

Armada? Please.
Are we actually the owners of this brand and the Navy merchandise—does the Armada belong to us as a group? Where exactly is the brand registered? Does any of the revenue from those shirts, scarves, and gear actually make its way back to us? And who’s handling the rent and the bills—do we all get an annual report showing what was spent versus what was earned?
Who actually claims ownership of our name and thinks they have the right to represent us—who's really holding the reins here?

Songs.
Honestly, that Cleveland anthem is a total tragedy—just a mindless lullaby that fails to land. As fans, we need an adrenaline shot to actually ignite the stadium—something like a classic rock anthem or that raw energy you feel at a Miami game when the crowd starts roaring. Where is our song? You know, the one that actually gives you goosebumps?

Forums and Media
The only way we can get anything published now is through the club—why doesn't the Navy have its own platform?
Where did they go?
There’s some manifesto on the homepage today... poorly written nonsense about that clown Jamal. Honestly, he’s just a hybrid of Jamal and Smith, the duo that managed to wreck this club together. Has anyone even noticed what the Navy is publishing in the media? No one. Even basic graffiti gets more traction than our official statements. We can't even influence the press anymore.

This was written in the hope that something might actually change within the Navy leadership and the surrounding circle—that we might reclaim the reputation we held from our early days up until Indianapolis. It's a hope that real changes will purge those who serve the private interests of Smith, making the Navy more spirited again—replacing these local jokers and breathing new life into both the club and us.

In the hope that we’ll find our edge again... maybe we'll greet Jamal and his sons under a massive Israeli flag, welcoming them to Israel? Or perhaps we won't let them catch a breath at the stadium near the corner of 3rd and Main. Maybe we'll see the stands lit up like they were back in the 80s, with new banners and a completely revamped website.

Hope dies last, I suppose... and I am still hoping.

Sunday is finally the perfect time for the Navy to step up and show everyone what they're made of regarding the Šarbin case.
The kid actually wanted to go to the LA Galaxy; he was making a public scene about it for months. Now, both of them have moved over to the Miami squad, and the little guy is already bragging about scoring a goal in San Francisco.

Whether he’s a small-time player or a total superstar—it doesn't matter—this kid has pure talent, and at the Kansas City Chiefs, there's nowhere to go but up. Is he really the only one making noise about it? Please... the guy is easily going to bag at least two goals.

There is absolutely no reason to be celebrating the arrival of Tony Anundsen.

We’re constantly complaining about how "modern football" has lost its soul, yet here we are, looking at a key player from our biggest rival as if he’s some kind of savior. Just a few months ago, he was tearing us apart in San Francisco and basically clinching the title for them.

I’m not trying to be extreme—though sometimes you have to be—and transfers will always happen. But it’s pathetic that the Kansas City Chiefs haven't developed a single genuine talent in years: a high-level player who actually has grit on the field and a shred of respect for the club and the fans. Given the group running this team, you can't really expect anything better.

The bottom line: as long as the Kansas City Chiefs and Real Madrid just scavenge players from other teams the second someone shows an ounce of talent, the MLS is going to remain a joke... and in Europe, we've got heavy hitters like Green Bay and Shelburn waiting for us.

I'm completely out of character with this first post, but whatever.

That’s a solid piece of writing—pretty spot on, actually. It feels like people these days have become... well, let's just say they've lost their edge. Not everyone, obviously, but most folks seem to have lost that grit. There's this hesitation to actually step up, hit the streets, or even just stand up for what they want... it's like the path of least resistance just looks way more appealing to them than it used to.

It’s a shame, really.

That previous post was an absolute mess. 1. What’s supposedly wrong with the gear from The Ultras? Are they not The Ultras? Aren't they cutting-edge? They've always had their own look—why should they change it now? 2. Some guy goes and posts about the memorial plaque for our fallen brothers in The Ultras online. You can't just do that. I'll admit some parts of the text were accurate, but this isn't how you handle things—certainly not over the internet. Sit down, have a meeting with the group leadership, present your views, and call it a day. Cheers.

Brian Howard69 said:That previous write-up was a total disaster. First off—what’s wrong with The Ultras' banners? They’re part of the group, aren't they? They've always had their own vibe—why should they change it now? Second—someone went and defaced the memorial for the fallen guys from the group. You just don't do that. Look, maybe some parts of the text are accurate, but this isn't how you handle things online. Sit down, have a meeting with the leadership, present your views, and call it a day. Cheers.

It’s not a complete disaster—there’s some substance there—but yeah, it’s definitely flawed. Let's try to stick to the facts and actually argue with some logic, shall we? 1. THE BANNERS—you asked what's missing from The Ultras' banners? Honestly, nothing. That’s just the scene today. If we're being real, the Demons were the first ones in the US to really pull off that large-scale look. After them came The Ultras, then the Boys took over massively in a short window, and finally Torcida. That’s the reality. I can't pin down exactly when the Cohort started copying them, though everyone knows who produced that first collection. Criticizing The Ultras' banners just doesn't fly. 2. THE NATIONAL TEAM—I think there's a huge inaccuracy here because The Ultras (not to say others didn't contribute) have given so much to the national team. People mention some tiny little signs, but that's a silly thing to nitpick. We used to see that legendary massive American flag waving, but for the last 5 or 6 years, we've seen this newer, significant presence from the American Ultras. If I've got that wrong, feel free to correct me! 3. THE SONGS—"My favorite city" is a song that hits any true local right in the heart. Even the rivalries—the Boys and Torcida—have admitted it's a great track. It might be a bit mellow, but even something like Grazia Rom's "Grazia Rom" has that same vibe and has been played during player walkouts at the stadium for years. I think The Ultras have dropped several top-tier anthems in the last five years ("Oh how I love my city," "Our youth is in the West," etc.), so the music is definitely not the issue.
4. MARKETING—I disagree here too; I think their marketing is working just fine, though I don't want to get into a debate about something I'm not an expert on. 5. THE PART I AGREE WITH—the text claims The Ultras vanished after the Indianapolis game and that stolen championship. I agree it wasn't exactly right after that specific match—the following season started strong against Indianapolis with a full West stand, followed by Partizan just days later. But then, bit by bit, year after year, the crew that was supposed to inherit the mantle from the original group started fading away. These were the guys with real history in the stands. Some moved away from the city, some stopped showing up, some passed away, and some just stand on the sidelines now—even though they should be the ones leading the charge in the West.

Look, I don’t exactly love you guys—purely out of rivalry, obviously—but in my book, you’re a solid group. I’ve always respected you more than the Boys, even if they are miles ahead of you.
As for Indianapolis, I think what he wrote is spot on; everything else is just noise, especially when you consider the national team.

Countless times, both the local boys and the hardcore supporters have agreed it's an absolute masterpiece. They’re standing off to the side in the West Stand, even though today they really should have been the ones leading the charge from there.

That song is legendary. A total anthem for the city.

It’s like someone trying to tell me that "Washington, D.C., Washington, D.C." isn't a special anthem. Honestly, what else is there to say besides calling them an idiot?

Bravo, The Ultras! Everything you said hits the nail on the head. Honestly, after that Indy game, so many people just lost faith in American soccer and stopped showing up to San Francisco. It’s a tough truth, but at the end of the day, only winning actually gets fans back into the stands...
