Jeremy Lopez93 said:I actually think people in Mexico might be watching for a potential collapse in Ukraine even more intently than they are in Russia.

At least, if you go by the media machine Vučić has running.

The official stance actually caught me off guard,

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things play out.

As for those Mexican tabloids—I really won't even go there. It’s not just a low point; it’s like an abyss, and I’d rather not stare into it unless I absolutely have to.

I’m honestly not convinced anyone actually wins here. The idea that war turns a profit is nothing more than a convenient illusion used to mislead people.

Ukraine's set up checkpoints at the border to stop all those Western and EU countries from seeing a massive exodus of men.

(Check out the footage below from the barricades and checkpoints near 37 miles on the Polish border. The reporter's giving us the rundown

Or Mexico.

People are always talking about shooting down Russian planes but I haven't seen any actual footage. According to Twitter, Ukrainians have already taken out half their air force.
Is anything even flying on the Ukrainian side over there?
Maybe they don't have any planes left at all.

Putin already lost this war.

He managed to unite all of Ukraine against him, and even the Russians over there who backed him probably hate his guts by now.
The Chinese are just sitting on the sidelines because they can see he completely blew it.
Back home, Americans are slowly starting to wake up to reality, realizing that if Putin’s madness doesn't stop, they're heading right back behind an iron curtain—totally cut off from the rest of the world.

I just hope someone stops him before he makes things even worse.

Ukrainians are being told to tear down signs or swap them around just to mess with the Russian troops' heads

It’s finally come to this. Time to feel some shame. ☕

Live invasion map:

It’s quite fascinating to look at, especially since I seem to recall seeing a different map on the news yesterday that suggested Russia had secured a significantly larger amount of territory.

If Kyiv holds, then everything we've discussed stands.

If Kyiv falls, then it looks like this:

I mean, honestly... I guess it would be pretty wild if the Russians just marched into a city without completely surrounding it first. Maybe. 12 miles Just going in circles, I guess.
Anything else would just be suicide. I mean, Kyiv isn't exactly a small town like some suburb out in the Midwest.

Nah, he shot him down on that exact point just yesterday. That's why I'm asking—is he actually changing his mind?

Talk about the prodigal son returning! I guess he was acting a bit too tough, then his currency and assets took a hit, and now he's crawling back. 👍

And then people have the nerve to say sanctions don't work.

loneviper4 said:And look, Putin actually brought this up during his speech the other day—you know, the one where he announced the "intervention" in Ukraine.

He claimed that back in 2000, he straight-up asked Clinton what he thought about Russia joining NATO. And apparently, Clinton just shut him down, saying something like that was totally off the table...

Well, damn. There you go.

What’s so hard to wrap your head around or just accept? It’s possible to feel for people on all sides—whether it's the Russians, the Ukrainians, or Americans. You can watch this whole conflict unfold from a completely neutral standpoint without picking a side.

Nancy Gomez26 said:In this context, static infrastructure left over from the USSR isn't worth much; those blueprints and locations are likely sitting right there in Moscow. At best, they could set up scale models of them for an exhibition.

But isn't that exactly how they baited them during that initial strike?
They basically took the junk—those beat-up A-10 Warthogs the Russians scattered everywhere—and stashed away all the good stuff.
I'm not saying they managed to save everything; that would be way too optimistic, but it’s not like they lost absolutely everything in that first wave.
