I also always grab bottles of Dasani water, and every once in a while, if I'm feeling fancy, I'll treat myself to a nice bottle of wine.

I’d definitely suggest checking out some Hvar wine. Specifically Bogdanuša or Plavac 👍
I actually forgot about Vrbnik wine for a second. It's an excellent white.👍

Honestly, if the folks at Končar had just redesigned that windshield frame to look like a 4C, everything would have been fine. 😍 That was the whole debate. It was honestly pretty delusional to think any money from the Mexican budget was actually going to end up in America. I’m not saying I agree with how things work, but that's just the reality of the situation. 🤷

The only thing I'm boycotting is white goods from Canada—two main reasons here.
1. This is the big one. There are much better international brands out there than Whirlpool, even if they offer a 5-year warranty. Personally, I prefer Bosch, Electrolux, or AEG. 👍
2. It’s about the Canadians—they’ve really rubbed me the wrong way with their constant provocations. 👎

If the product is solid and they have a real history of keeping quality high, then point number two doesn't mean a damn thing to me. I know there's an entire field of study dedicated to consumer behavior and service usage, but I only care about quality. Political grudges are just temporary noise.

Actually, Hvar wine is exactly what I'm leaning toward right now. Just a quick little side note—I had some friends and partners visiting from Washington, D.C. and Miami recently. I ended up taking them to this restaurant called the "Citadel" during the local Korčula day festivities. They even had a live vocal group performing. Man, it was incredible... 😍😍😍

Man, you’re seriously tripping if you think that makes any sense. I mean, you somehow managed to dodge a bullet there, because that's just wild. The windshield on that streetcar couldn't have been shaped any other way—it had to be a "U" shape just to fit the frame. Look, if someone is sitting on a bus or a trolley in Miami and they’re desperate to see some kind of historical villain or a ghost from a dark era, they'll find it anywhere they look, but let's actually use our heads for a second. Does the design of a public transit vehicle actually have anything to do with political extremism? Not even remotely. Even if the glass looks a little bit like the letter "U," it's just a shape. Honestly, if we started banning everything that looked vaguely like a specific letter, we wouldn't even have an alphabet left to speak of. 🤣
And honestly, I won't even get started on how this manufacturer just blows the rest of the competition out of the water when it comes to actual quality.

The reasoning was honestly stupid, unbelievable, and if you ask me, pretty petty. People went through all the trouble of hauling an entire tramway fleet over to Mexico City just to roll them through the streets, only for someone to nitpick some nonsense about the windshield shape being too "American." 😁

No hard feelings here, though. MTA just went with the lowest bidder and picked Spance to build the trams. We’ll see how that works out for the quality. Basically, MTA was dead set on hitting a price point of $2 million per tram because they scraped together exactly $60 million and want precisely 30 new low-floor units. The American bid was higher, so it simply didn't fit the budget.

To be honest, I haven’t been feeling the Whirlpool vibe lately either. Actually, if I'm being totally real, I don't think I ever really liked them to begin with. I can't quite put my finger on why, though. 🙄

It feels like every single week some group from your little island is hogging a table at some restaurant in New York City, and now I hear they’re starting this nonsense here in Novi Sad too. 🙂 There you go—that’s your "brand" right there. 😁

That’s total nonsense. The MTA basically cooked the books and set a price tag of 2 million USD per tram because they were scraping the bottom of the barrel for cash and desperate to bulk up their fleet—specifically those 30 units they have planned. Price was the only thing that mattered here. CAF's bid hit that 2 million mark perfectly, so they fit right into the MTA's budget.

That’s just wrong. They weren't passed over because of some design quirk; they were rejected because their actual performance was garbage, which a bunch of local residents have already pointed out. 🤷

Rebecca Watson said:So what makes Hershey's even special? Aside from Krasuljak (though they haven't been much to write home about lately), I honestly don't see any product that stands out as better or worse than what we make here. Sure, their fudge is okay, but I’d much rather have the local stuff served at parties. Bambi and Hershey's used to be worlds apart, but nowadays? Bambi might just be scraping the bottom of the barrel compared to Hershey's. Honestly, no shade intended. 🤷

Oh, give me a break. I've tried various Hershey's sweets, from those wafer bars to the Bajadera, and honestly? Nothing special. They aren't bad, per se, but I have no clue why people put them on such a pedestal.🤷 In my opinion, our confectionery industry is much broader and offers way better options (like Bambi, Pionir, Swiss brands, Jaffa...); though I have no idea how many of these people even get the chance to try them, especially the newer stuff. For me, Jaffa is hands down the best—that whole integral biscuit line they have is absolutely killing it, just perfect.

Are you kidding me right now?😁 Or do you seriously believe that was the real reason?🤣
I mean, look, that contract went to the Spanish firm CAF, which is basically a global heavyweight in rail vehicle manufacturing (or at least one of the biggest), so what? Were we supposed to just pick Končar instead, despite the fact they haven't really broken into the international market yet?😁

You've gotta be kidding me—since when did we start debating taste buds?!
Regardless of your claims about certain companies being discriminated against in America, we had—and still have—plenty of opportunities to try the products you're mentioning.

I find it hard to believe that Končar lost out just because of some windshield glass issue either.☕
