I see that went well 🙂

Sean Garcia3 said:Look, I didn't see how old the PC was. I was rushing while reading the post. I actually have a job, unlike some people who live on the internet 24/7. Every post you make just shows how much of a joke you are. I can't tell if you've been here 12 or 13 years. 🤣
You're shooting yourself in the foot. If you don't read a post properly, don't reply to it. It's smarter than just talking nonsense. If someone had been around here 12-13 years ago, they'd know it was you.
Your writing style and general attitude give you away. You aren't even that old; probably just some high schooler acting out. ☕
Adam Moore3 said:Good grief. I don't know who's worse: Robert Rodriguez2 for being such a relentless copycat, or Newegg for constantly coming back here with useless, illiterate posts that trigger these reactions. If this is just an estimate, and you agree with it, why bother "responding" to a question that wasn't even asked? Why keep provoking people? 🙂
Because he gets on my nerves. He comes in and talks trash for no reason. I'd rather not have someone dragging my family into their stupidity. 👍
Sean Garcia3 said:I don't get why my post is useless. I gave a detailed breakdown for every component since I doubt they'll sell the whole rig at once.
Since I didn't see the age of the PC, I assumed it was maybe a year or two old and thought they might want to buy all new parts and sell this one. Not everyone knows hardware like we do; some people think you have to replace everything after two years.
And explain what you mean by me "coming back." I commented once, I didn't do it a hundred times. Or are we back to that thing about me being a clone, where I should just report you like I did to Quote: The New York Times recently?
Just give it a rest. If you're going to post, at least try to read the actual prompt instead of skimming two words and suggesting random combinations that nobody asked for. 🤦

Elon Musk: 10,961 posts
Amazon: 244 posts
A little respect for someone who’s been helping people out on this forum for nearly seven years wouldn't hurt. And you hit the nail on the head: if you're going to reply to posts, actually read them first.
Otherwise, besides that "report post" button next to your names, I’ve also got those colored warning cards ready if you guys keep up the spamming.😁

Look, I don't want to overdo it, but let’s be real—pretty much everyone here is against Max. We’ve known him forever through his old handles, and we all remember the nonsense he used to post. It honestly bugs me when I see him replying, but hey, I guess the forum is open to everyone, even him.
It wouldn't even be a huge deal if he just owned up to his mistakes and apologized—especially since he ends up spreading wrong info on the board (not even talking about this specific thread right now). Instead, he just hits a wall. You get like ten of us going head-to-head with him, trying to show him he's wrong, and he just doubles down and stays stubborn. I have no idea where Fosna has been lately, but he could probably smooth this whole thing over in a heartbeat 😁

Look, kid, you're acting way too smart for your own good. I don't even know who I supposedly gave "wrong info" to, since you can't even name anyone. You guys are just talking out of your asses because you're obsessed with the idea that I'm some kind of clone. That's your issue, not mine, especially since there isn't even any bad info to begin with.
I’m going ahead and filing a report against you. We'll see what happens, but if nothing gets done, I’m taking further steps if the admins decide they aren't actually doing their jobs.

I would appreciate an evaluation of my computer, which I intend to part with shortly.
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT Processors
CPU: Intel Celeron G550 @2.60 GHz
HDD: 120 GB
RAM: 1 x 4GB
PSU: Brilliant Power 500W
Motherboard: ASRock H61M-GS
The case is quite recent—essentially in new condition—and is a compact model designed for a micro-ATX board, finished in classic black.
What might be a reasonable asking price?
Furthermore, the system has been remarkably reliable; it has never required repairs, nor has it ever encountered a blue screen or any similar instability.

The case is fairly old but looks almost new; it's a small form factor since it uses a mini motherboard, just your standard black case.
What kind of price could I get for this?
Also, the computer has been rock solid—never had any issues, never needed repairs, and zero blue screens or anything like that.
$500-$200.

Where on earth are those numbers coming from? GPU 50, CPU 150, HDD 50, RAM 200, PSU 100, Motherboard 150. That’s $700 at most. I definitely missed something when I ran my initial math 😬
#871 ·
The GPU needs to be at least $33, and the case should probably be around 70-$27, though I guess we don't know the specific model yet.

I honestly don't know who would buy that card. Personally, about a year ago, I could BARELY sell my 9600 GT for $43. It sat on Craigslist for two months listed at $150, and after I refreshed the ad, some guy messaged me asking if he could get it for $130 🤣 I told him to get lost. And a 9400? That's just an old DDR2 card...
#873 ·
I mean, look at the junk being sold for $17; honestly, it still feels way more solid than what they integrated into the G550 🙂
#874 ·
I'm not actually convinced it's any stronger. It's just Intel Core i5 Integrated Graphics running on Dual Channel DDR3. It’s definitely nothing to write home about; I'd say they're pretty much on par.

Could I get an estimate on this ancient machine?
Motherboard: ASUS P45 Motherboard, Dual Channel DDR3;
Graphics card: integrated on the motherboard.;
Processor: Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz;
Hard Drive: 80 GB Seagate, 7200 RPM ST380011A;
RAM: 768 MB Kingmax Dual Channel DDR3 plus some other stick I can't quite identify; speaking of RAM, I actually have another computer from that same era with a 2 GB Dual Channel DDR3 stick—so if you think it helps, I could probably toss that extra module in there.
Power Supply: Dell Precision;
Optical Drives: one DVD burner, a second DVD-only reader, and even a floppy drive.
Cooling: Cooler Master fans—one for the CPU and another 80mm fan, if I remember correctly, just to keep the airflow moving a bit faster.
The case? Honestly, I’m not sure who manufactured it, but it’s a large unit with four HDD bays, four optical drive slots, and two for floppies.
It’s running Windows XP Professional and hasn't given me any trouble at all. For the last three or four years, it hasn't even really been used—before that, it was mostly just for surfing the web and playing those old-school Windows games, you know, things like Mahjong or Solitaire...
Along with the PC, I'm also selling a 17-inch Belinea monitor, Model no: 10 17 10.
As for that other computer I mentioned, I can't give you the exact specs right this second since I'm looking to sell that one too.
Anyway, I hope this is detailed enough for you all to give me some kind of ballpark figure. 😁
Thanks in advance! 😁

if you actually find $33 for that, good luck.

Hey there!
I'm looking to finally part ways with this old computer of mine. I was hoping someone could give me a rough idea of what it's actually worth? I really want to avoid just dropping it off at a scrap yard if there's a better way to handle this...
Motherboard: ASUS
RAM: 1 GB DDR2 Kingmax and 2 GB DDR2 Kingmax
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4850 1 GB GDDR4
CPU: Intel Core i5
Hard Drives: 160 GB and 80 GB—honestly, I have no clue who manufactured them.
DVD Drive: Sony
PSU: 400W, no brand listed, probably some cheap generic unit.
If anyone can lend a hand with an estimate, I’d truly appreciate it!
