I think it looks absolutely wonderful—it really seems to mesh perfectly with all the other decor I've been seeing 😍

honestly, I think it’s actually pretty cute—with the little floral pattern, if I recall correctly. what flavors did you end up going with?

It was Margarete. 🙂 These little wild strawberries have this yellow center.

The whole thing tasted like chocolate and raspberries. Yum.

Are we talking about a wedding or what? This thread is specifically about bakeries...

If you actually mean for a wedding, I attended two events there this year—and frankly, they were stellar.
The food was spot on, and the staff—exceptionally polite and professional—really knew their business. Kudos to them! 🙂
🙂🙂

Richard Myers13 said:We ended up trying some treats from Sugarland on Sunday, and let me tell you, their ganache is nothing short of phenomenal! My partner is a huge fan of the four-flavor chocolate cake, and honestly, that dark chocolate sponge is just 😍 perfection. Personally, I was completely won over by the iced lemon zest with raspberry, though my partner found it a bit too tart for their liking—but I live for those kinds of flavors! In the end, we've decided to stick with the classics to make sure everyone is happy, so we’re going with the four-flavor chocolate.

What’s the price range looking like for the cakes? And the bite-sized pastries...?
Honestly, just reading through these posts is making me hungry. 😂

Hey everyone!

We tied the knot on May 28th. We ended up ordering our cake and pastries from the Republican Party folks over in San Jose, and honestly, we couldn't be happier. Each kilo of treats was $27—they’re delicious and they have such a huge variety. As for the cake (a parfait style), it cost us $100 for 30 people.
Later on, we actually ordered an extra 8 kg just to celebrate with everyone at the office.
Definitely recommend them if you're looking.
They've got bakeries out by the Hudson River and in Silver Spring too.
Best!

You’re asking a lot of questions! To be honest, the desserts are actually included in our set menu here, so I’m not entirely sure what they would cost on their own. I did see someone mention that at a place like Cheesecake Factory, a cake might run you around $40, but I can't say for certain if that's accurate. That said, I am absolutely obsessed with their sweets—even if they weren't part of the deal, I’d still be ordering them in a heartbeat.

Ugh, okay, I need some serious help here!!! So, we’ve decided to ditch the traditional thank-you notes and just give our guests little boxes of cookies instead—which sounds sweet, right? But now I'm freaking out. For those of you who have actually done this or are planning to, please, PLEASE tell me where you bought your cookie boxes and what they cost you! Save me... the big day is creeping up on us and my mom and mother-in-law are breathing down my neck every single second!!!!!!!🙏

I have absolutely no clue what kind of wedding cake I should order. Look, I’ve already nailed down the exterior design, but the inside? That's a total mystery to me. Give me your best suggestions and tell me about your own experiences.

Alright, quick question for the ladies here—is anyone planning on doing those little favor boxes with sweets for their wedding guests? I'm spiraling a bit over here. Where on earth did you guys find decent packaging, and what kind of damage am I looking at price-wise?! Help a girl out, please! 🙏

A lady made us these cookies and even packed them up in boxes so we could hand them out... did you check with your wife to see if she has any spare boxes?

I used a local print shop near Pittsburgh (Arlington) $1.75/for those little 4x4 inch square boxes with lids... I filled them with treats, tied them up with a 1-inch ribbon, and topped them off with a cute little thank-you tag featuring our date. At the reception, we handed the sweets to the ladies and gave the guys little bottles of bourbon instead....

They have a bunch of different styles available if you want to browse online

We went with hazelnut, dark chocolate orange, and a chocolate mousse.

I wouldn't say they're sold online, but I did find them on a site... you definitely won't find a better price, and the little boxes are great. I grabbed the white ones $0.67 piece here:

Does anyone know what the going rates are for wedding cakes and those little bite-sized pastries for the reception hall?
I have my eye on this gorgeous five-tier cake meant for about 200 guests, and I’m estimating the cost would be around $1833
. As for the mini desserts, they seem to be $1.25 per piece
. It doesn't strike me as being particularly expensive, but I suppose I might be mistaken—what has everyone else experienced?
