Morgan Murphy, what's your angle? Why do you even need them?

I was thinking about putting them in little jars next to the guestbook near the restaurant entrance. Wouldn't that make the book more eye-catching? Plus, wouldn't kids be thrilled by it?😁

Think you can get an order through eBay in time?

Maybe they’ve got something similar sitting in the Hershey headquarters...

Why on earth would I order food online? Even if I had plenty of time, I wouldn't. True, maybe I could check out Hershey's when I'm in Washington, D.C. next time.

You're right about ordering online. It's a gamble, and who knows if customs or those strict food import laws will even let it through the border 🤷

Better just call Hershey's before you waste your time:

You’ve gotta hit up those county fairs, local festivals, and stuff—even checking out the cemeteries during the holidays. You can find it everywhere there—like lollipops, all bright and colorful and way too sweet. Or just head over to a place like Macy's 😁

Nathan Cox25, you've got a point. Morgan Murphy, take a look at this if you haven't already.

I ended up Googling "lollipops" 😬

I spotted those lollipops today 😂
over at the Walmart wholesale club—they had this massive bulk pack 🤔 I didn't catch the exact count, but it looked to be about 50 pieces for roughly $27... 😉

I only head up to Washington, D.C. once in a while now. Once I finally make the trip north, everything will have to be handled at once—invitations, thank-you notes, those colorful candies, all sorts of things. I plan on picking up half of that stuff up there.

I’ve spotted them at various spots—Walmart, Muller, even at the local Target. In my neck of the woods, the local Best Buy always has those stands overflowing with lollipops and all sorts of candy, not to mention the displays you see at the mall. 🙂Just ask me about anything candy-related... I'm practically an expert. 🙂))

I don't really notice that—I usually skip the candy aisle entirely when I'm out shopping. I did spot a vendor booth at the cemetery once, though; I wouldn't have stopped if they hadn't been pushing something new, I guess. We gave it a try and it was just way too sweet, so we kept moving. Anyway, Daniel Smith8 found a link, so I bet you can find them all over the place now.

Alright ladies, I finally owe you guys a photo of Aunt Stephanie's cake! It’s just a quick snap from my phone, so don't judge too hard, haha. Anyway, it's just a simple cream frosting on the outside, but we're going all out with fruit and cream inside. This one was made for 80 people, but since our crowd is closer to 120, we'll need something a bit bigger—which would probably run us about $200.

Morgan Murphy, I am just seeing this now—truly a brilliant idea. 😍

One could easily purchase these small containers at stores such as Kika, IKEA, or Muller (the kind used for spices, sugar, salt, or whatever else you might need, and they usually come with lids, so you can repurpose them in the kitchen later). Simply fill them with the sweets bought from the bulk aisles at Muller or Walmart. It’s wonderful; I am certain the children will be perfectly cooperative and refrain from scribbling all over the guest book. 🙂

Taylor Kelly2, how much did that baker charge you for the copper cake??
I honestly have no clue what a thing like that would even run me...

Just wanted to mention that you can actually rent out those glass bowls, trays, and all that gear at the local Walmart over in the industrial district. You just bring them back after the wedding and they charge you something like 20% of the retail price 🙂

By the way, you can put together a killer sweet table using a mix of fruit, cookies, cakes, pies... it’s not just for weddings either 🙂

I don't know, Carl Clark... I have this vision for a really unconventional cake setup—one main centerpiece surrounded by a whole bunch of miniature cakes. For that primary one (meaning I'm looking for $67 🤷), and for all the little ones too... it feels like a lot to ask, honestly—they didn't even bother following up about the mini cakes 😢

I just wanted to drop a quick note about the dessert spread at my wedding. I picked up a bunch of homemade treats from a local bakery called Sweet Treats, and honestly? Every single pastry tasted exactly how it was supposed to. People were actually stopping me mid-conversation to ask where I got them. Ever since the wedding, it seems like everyone I know has started ordering from them for everything—weddings, baptisms, you name it. You really have to respect the way they run things; the place is spotless. Seriously, walking in there feels more like stepping into a high-end pharmacy than a bakery—not a speck of flour out of place. They’ve got their own website and a Facebook page too if you want to check them out. Highly recommended.

How are you even allowed to wander into their facility? I highly doubt they'd let someone just walk right in like that...
