Me: Nooo, really, you don't have to. Seriously, it's fine.
Her: Don't even start. You go ahead of me. Just shut it. Did you hear me? I used to carry babies, too.
Me: Oh my goddddd. Okay, thank youuuu so much 😍 😍

I swear I almost melted right there on the floor 😍 from how sweet it was.

Totally, and those guys were actually pretty young, too—usually I’d expect them to just... well, ignore me instead of being nice.😁

I find myself increasingly irritated by those overly comfortable, demanding pregnant women in the hospital (where I’m currently staying); they act as if the world owes them everything just because they're expecting.

I was at the White House today dropping off some paperwork, and you have to go through those security scanners. Of course, being a total idiot, I just started walking straight toward one without thinking, and this young security guard had to stop me. "Whoa, hold up, don't go through the scanner," he says.

It’s actually hilarious to me that the security guard doesn't have the slightest clue how the metal detector he uses hundreds of times a day actually works...

😁 And "little bug" ... he said—I know you can't do anything about it, but just in case. I thought it was pretty funny seeing him get all worried.
I went through the scanner in the other building about 15 minutes earlier and everything went smoothly :-) but being pregnant, I didn't have to take everything out of my bag :-)

I gotta admit, nothing really gets under my skin since I've been pregnant ☕.
I’m officially in beast mode.

Jonathan Wright4 said:So, a few days ago I swung by the clinic with a referral, and obviously had to bring my daughter along since I couldn't exactly leave her home alone. There were about ten people ahead of me in line, and I tried being perfectly polite, asking if someone could just let me slip in for a second to grab my paperwork since it was already ready. Do you think a single soul said "yes"? Nope. Not one person.

Honestly? I don't even bother asking anymore—I just walk right up. If anyone starts making a fuss, I just tell them I'm pregnant and have priority. And if they actually try to start an argument? Well, I just wish them nothing but the best!

I guess I’ll throw my two cents into the ring too! Honestly, the unsolicited advice is what gets me... people acting like they know everything about what I should eat, what I shouldn't touch, or telling me I can't even have a beer. It’s exhausting. And don't even get me started on the eye-rollers—those people who give you that smug, judgmental look when someone calls my name in the lab. Then you've got the absolute boulders who think they can just cut in line because they're too big to move... I’m not asking for special treatment, but please, stay in your own lane. And the staring? Why does everyone feel the need to stare at my stomach or, god forbid, try to poke it? It’s creepy.
Like, if I mention we're waiting for a guy, the very next comment is always some snarky, "Oh, I bet he's *so* proud of himself." Seriously, what is wrong with people?

I’m currently dealing with some pregnancy complications, so I’ve been told to stay off my feet and really just rest, which means I only head out for doctor appointments, lab work, or hitting up the pharmacy. To be honest, I haven't even used my pregnancy status to cut any lines yet; I'm just patiently waiting my turn like everyone else. Of course, you’d think a pregnant woman or an elderly person should get priority, but being pregnant or getting older doesn't necessarily mean you're struggling more than anyone else while standing in line. 🤷 Truthfully, I feel like a woman dealing with heavy periods might actually have a harder time than someone having a perfectly smooth pregnancy, because since mine is high-risk, I physically feel about twenty times better than she would. 🙂 It all comes down to perspective, really. The only thing that truly gets under my skin is when people try to push their way ahead of others.

Let’s be real here—being four or five months along isn't exactly an endurance test when it comes to standing up. But once you hit that ninth month, with your legs swelling and that heavy, constant pressure in your gut, every single second spent on your feet feels like a countdown to a breakdown. It creates this restless, uncomfortable tension where I honestly feel like if they don't let me sit down soon, I’m just going to walk out. I mean, seriously, it's not physically possible.

Some random lady was actually telling me my stomach looks too big—which is hilarious because I’m honestly worried it’s actually too small! She even went off on this tangent about how I might be expecting twins, though there's zero chance they would have missed that on an ultrasound by now. 😁
About 90% of the comments I'm getting are just people going, "Oh my gosh, is it a girl?!" (Nope, we already have a boy and this one is definitely a boy too).

A few days before my due date, someone actually commented on how much I’d "widened out." Honestly, what do they expect? Am I supposed to look like a runway model two days before giving birth?
Then there was the usual barrage of unsolicited advice—my belly is too small or too big, I'm carrying high or low, it's a boy or a girl... blah, blah, blah. I’d grown numb to all that nonsense by then.
But what really got under my skin was that from three weeks out until the actual delivery, everywhere I went, people would ask if I was still "intact."
And these were people who knew perfectly well my due date was June 12th. In the end, the little guy arrived right on schedule. 😍

The first trimester: I was my own worst enemy.🙂 Seriously, I was a total wreck—nauseous, couldn't sleep, constant headaches... you name it.
I used to sit there thinking other women were just being dramatic or looking for attention, like, "Oh, please, they're just making excuses."😳 Turns out, karma really is a bitch, and I got exactly what was coming to me.😁But honestly? Even then, I still felt like a complete mess.

I'm not sure where you're getting that from, but for me (I'm in my 4th month), standing is definitely a struggle! Honestly, I've always had trouble staying on my feet because my blood pressure runs low—but now? It feels like it's practically zero, especially if it gets hot or if there isn't enough airflow in the room. So, yeah... I wouldn't exactly want to risk passing out!

I’ll speak for myself here and say things were actually easier for me regarding standing back then. The bigger question is just how you’re feeling overall.
At the end of the day, there isn't a single pregnant woman out there who finds standing around waiting to be a fun time.

Well, I don't think anyone actually enjoys standing around waiting, let alone someone who's pregnant, so I guess I just want to say that everyone's experience is pretty relative; for instance, I personally found one day of my period much harder to deal with than my entire first trimester. 🙂 I'm sure for some people, it's probably the exact opposite.

But, I absolutely agree that people just seem to lack basic manners and social etiquette these days... I walked into a waiting room this morning full of women, most of whom were pregnant, and there was this heavy, dead silence where I offered a polite "good morning," yet not a single person even acknowledged me, let alone looked up. So yeah, you've got all sorts of people out there, whether they're expecting or not.

I’m freshly retired too—so for now, my biggest annoyance is just how fast my hair and nails grow. Usually, my waxing would last me a whole month, but now? I’m looking at needing another trip to 😢
after just two weeks!

Honestly, I've been dealing with this exact same headache for seven weeks now, and frankly, the frustration hasn't subsided one bit.

So, I told my husband's entire family that my due date was at the end of July, but it actually turns out to be August 7th. Despite that, every single time they see me, they still hit me with the exact same question: "So, when are you having the baby?"

I’ve still got two weeks to go before my due date, yet I can't seem to escape the endless chorus of people commenting, "Well, at least you're still intact," or "So, what are you waiting for?" As if they’re the ones who get to decide when I’m actually allowed to start... honestly, I feel like I'm being suffocated by the unsolicited advice.
