Well, I'm saving up for their wedding—obviously. The whole town needs to know when Steven Reed's girls are tying the knot: proud mother of two:

Alright, you've officially sold me. Send over your best offer to my inbox. 😁

Am I being a complete failure as a mother just because I want this baby to arrive right this second instead of waiting those last two weeks until my due date, especially since I am honestly just completely exhausted by this whole pregnancy and I desperately want to be able to roll over in bed without struggling? 🤷

No, you aren't 😍
I was practically begging God to let things start early because I hit my limit, too—except I was still stuck in a hospital bed 🙂

No, you aren't a failure at all, so stop that nonsense; if anything, you’re a saint, because clearly, you just want your little one looking up at you the moment you wake up.

It finally clicked for me this morning... so I'm starting to think that I might—just maybe!—send my husband on paternity leave after about six or nine months. 😲
Hmm, just tuck him away in his own little room and leave him to his own devices once the nine months are up. Sounds like a total nightmare! 🙂

Back to what I was saying... honestly, it’s starting to get on my nerves how much I'm struggling to actually get comfortable enough to sleep. My back feels off, my hips are acting up—it's just constant, little annoyances everywhere... grrr. And the kicker? This is only six months in. If I'm already dealing with this, I can't even imagine what the rest of the year is going to look like.

If I'm being completely honest, it’s probably only going to get more intense from here.😁

By the way, I was actually laughing so hard while reading through some of these posts yesterday—this whole thread is just pure chaos.
I won't even dare list out all the things I have to do every day, mostly because I don't want anyone calling social services on me for being a whirlwind of activity. But if it helps anyone feel any better, at least we'll have our little ones to look at.

If it offers you any small measure of comfort, I actually headed back to my career once my little one hit the six-month mark, even though my husband didn't take any paternity leave at all! Since I live incredibly close to my office, I had a nanny who would simply bring him over to me during my breaks—especially since he was still on that stage where he wouldn't eat anything else—or I’d just make a quick dash back home whenever I could. Honestly, if I'm being completely truthful with myself, I feel like the most ungrateful, money-driven career woman imaginable, someone who prioritized her paycheck over spending those precious early moments with my poor, sweet boy.

I honestly think this person—though calling her a woman feels like a stretch—should just be banned from this forum permanently.

Well, it's a little late for that, because it looks like we've just welcomed yet another poor soul into our midst! 😢

I’ve been catching up on the last three pages, and I can't help but notice how everyone seems ready to gang up on one user (pink, in this case) just because she dared to share her opinion.

It’s wild how many people here seem to live for nothing but petty jabs... I honestly don't get it.

Looking at the sheer volume of posts, it seems like the most activity happens on this thread and the motherhood thread. It really makes you wonder: just how much pent-up frustration are we all actually carrying?

Gary Kelly10 said:I spent my entire afternoon today scrolling through these forums on my iPad just to catch up on everything I missed 😢 and here I am again 😢

My own kid hasn't even looked at me—he’s been wide awake for five minutes now, just staring past me...

🤦

And let’s be honest—sometimes while I'm nursing him in the armchair or propped up on the bed, I actually drift off, so I’m not even watching him!!

I swear, in a few years, our kids are going to start some sort of support group for children whose mothers weren't watching them 24/7, or maybe for those of us who were basically "sleep-deprived zombies" while they slept in their own nurseries 🙂

Or maybe they'll start an association for kids whose moms spent all their time posting nonsense on internet forums or acting like they were back in preschool 🙄

Hannah Lewis2 said:It’s not a "complex." It’s just how life works. ☕ Happy moms make happy kids. Deal with it.

Could you explain this? I’m genuinely asking, not being sarcastic...

Kids seem happiest sleeping next to their parents—at least mine are. Honestly, though, I'd personally love some space to sleep alone...

But I would never dream of leaving my seven-month-old son to sleep in another room by himself. For me, that's just out of the question. Between breastfeeding and everything else, he definitely wouldn't be sleeping solo.

But that's just how I feel...

I could easily turn this around and attack you for being the kind of mother who leaves her baby alone, but I won't. I don't really care, and I'm certainly not going to judge your parenting.

My son slept in my bed until he was three. Look, I’m not claiming that makes me a saint or some kind of parenting guru compared to everyone else. I’m not one of those people who thinks there's only one way to live life—I'm pretty open to the fact that people can do things their own way if they want to. My youngest? He gets nursed around 8 PM, tucked into his crib, and I don't hear a peep from him until well after 1 AM. Once we got into that rhythm, my husband and I actually started hitting up the movies or catching a concert together. If doing things on my own terms makes me a "bad mom," then fine. Whatever. 🤷 It just strikes me as incredibly stupid to suggest that if you don't follow a specific script, you shouldn't be a parent in the first place.

I’m pretty sure Pink didn't mean that quite so literally, but you have to admit it sounds incredibly harsh when someone says: I don't want to be the first face a baby sees when they wake up ☕

I don't get it—who else is there to see? 😕

Babies are just so helpless. Isn't the whole point of having them to enjoy them, to cuddle them, to kiss them senseless, and to wake up 1,246,776 times throughout the night?

Besides, this forum exists so we can vent to one another, find some common ground, and remind ourselves that one day, things will actually get easier 😍

And now, I'll head back over to the off-topic thread 😁

Honestly, this whole thing is total bullshit.
And you’re claiming this thread has the most posts? Just go find another topic or, frankly, just leave the forum altogether.

Besides, after Pink suggested that people shouldn't have kids if they intend to just shove them in another room, I mean, seriously, who's actually overreacting here?!

If I should be cleaning up my forum history more often, 😂

don't worry, I'll get right on it. Thanks for the advice. 🤣

Look, everything you said is valid. But by that logic, people who put their kids in a separate room shouldn't even be parents. If I'm gonna be blunt—and I guess I am—families with five kids crammed into a tiny apartment in Chicago, sleeping in one room because they have no choice, are a lot more likely to need birth control than some couple with a massive house where the kids have their own wings.

Maybe she didn't—but that is exactly how she phrased it.
Come on, girl—you've been on this forum long enough to spot a troll from a mile away. She showed up, started trolling, and was met with exactly what she deserved: some good old-fashioned sarcasm and mockery.
I joke around in the other thread all the time, yet here I am—both my kids sleep in my bed. My oldest crawled back in once the younger one arrived, even though she used to go to her own room without being asked. And guess what? 🤷
It is honestly idiotic to claim someone is a bad parent just because they don't think exactly like you do. That is precisely what Pink did—and she got exactly what was coming to her. A healthy dose of ridicule.

I suppose when one is capable of making statements like that, then yes, this is precisely the kind of topic where people tend to stay quiet, especially regarding matters of this nature.
