It's absolutely insane that hundreds of thousands of people are being forced to flee their homes right now. These wildfires in France and Spain look like they're spreading incredibly fast. Does anyone know if this is part of a larger pattern we're seeing every summer now?

as mistyscout2 put it—love isn't really an emotion 😍
and hatred doesn't even exist 😉
much like forgiveness, weakness, or strength... 😁
they're all just constructs we manufacture—one person calls it forgiveness, another sees it as strength, depending entirely on how they want to frame it in the moment.. 😁

Sure, but it doesn't apply to everyone 😬

Why are subscriptions automatically activating on certain threads—just happening on their own 😕 and then reappearing even after I persistently cancel them? 😬
I honestly don't see the issue—who wouldn't want to hit up a country bar, grab a few drinks, shoot the breeze... all that stuff. 😁
🤣 🤣
And for those of you acting all offended by the lyrics—especially the ones who listen to Rammstein... give me a break. 🙄
Besides, why should anyone care what someone else listens to? 🙄
If you've never been to a honky-tonk, just go 👍 😁
and smash some bottles over your head or drool over half-dressed girls... experience it for yourselves. Let the vibe take over instead of acting like you missed out and then spitting on it. 😉

WHY IS THIS THREAD NOT WORKING!!!!!! in Forum Help! ·
Why is this thread broken AGAIN? 🙄
I mean, it "came back online," but now it’s dead again...

It isn't about becoming "numb" or losing all feeling. 😬

What actually happens is this slow build of an internal, sort of lukewarm sense of peace—a feeling of closeness with others, regardless of how they treat you.

And it isn't just limited to people.

That "closeness"... it has nothing to do with "emotions." 🙂

Come on, then... elaborate a bit... 😉

Casey Jones9 said:Right, okay 😁

I see how that could have been misread.

To clarify—when I said "he isn't the only one," I was referring to the way we forget unpleasant experiences by simply ignoring them. 🙂

The rest of it is about the "numbing" effect of those negative experiences—how they eventually dull your ability to feel the good ones. It doesn't mean you stop feeling the bad stuff entirely; it just means, over time, the intensity starts to fade... 🙂

but then you just numb everything... completely... 😬
right?

I mean, what else would you expect?

That’s why I put "don't feel" in quotes in the first place... 🙂

And regarding that bit—"he isn't the only one"—since there were no quotes there, your comment comes across as an extension of his point... whereas using quotes could just be interpreted as a lack of understanding regarding the terms being used, given that you don't feel 🙄 🙂

I guess? Oh...
I know... 🙂
I know you feel everything—the good, the bad, the pleasant, and the uncomfortable... 🙄 😍 😛

The real kicker is that you don't even "feel" anything when things are supposedly "wonderful" or "perfect." 🙂

🙄

Give me a break with these fairy tales... 🤣

befoodturntoshit said:What do you think about the idea that spiritual growth is actually just the process of becoming increasingly aware of how much of a fool you really are?😁

Great idea, great topic, great thought...
I suspect this has already crossed most people's minds—if not for any profound reason, then at least because they were terrified they might be fools, making this realization the only logical "escape route"... a way out... 😉
Reading through this thread, one could conclude that some people admit to being fools, some want to be fools, some see becoming a fool as the ultimate goal, some find it fulfilling, and others find being perceived as a fool quite liberating...
Then there are those who believe everyone is a fool, just that some are significantly more foolish than others—those are usually the ones advocating for "equality." 😬
So why does everyone insist on acting so damn smart?!
All these wise, enlightened souls full of deep insights...
Oh, right—some just don't want to admit they're fools...
But nobody seems to be explaining *why* being a fool is considered a bad thing?
Is viewing oneself as a fool a necessity for spiritual progress—an admission of emptiness, an acknowledgment of need, a sign of readiness?
Or
is striving to become a fool an admission that liberation is the true objective of spiritual development?
Perhaps there is nothing left to realize...
Or
is calling oneself a fool (or aiming to be one) simply giving up—throwing in the towel and abandoning the path altogether?
Or
maybe it's all of the above?

I'll pull in one quote...

P.S. Which fool is actually awake these days... 🙄 😵 😉
Sandra Palmer10 said:It’s obvious most people on this forum follow the same pattern: constant snark, endless bickering, and petty infighting—all hallmarks of someone stuck at a very low level of spiritual growth.

I’ve had my own realization. I can't do it for anyone else, obviously, but I can share what I've found. It seems few people actually figure this out—most are still hunting for happiness in all the wrong places...
My intention was simply to share my experience and shed some light on this forum, which seems swallowed by negativity, arguments, and pure immaturity.

Well, now you've gone and shamed me... 😳
Not that mine was particularly snarky—I mean, look at all those emojis... 😍 👍 😉 😬
And what exactly did you "discover"? 😍
If your happiness is internal, then fine—it's within you, and as you said, it can't be found in us...
But you seem to be the one searching externally... just doing it a bit clumsily...
The whole need to "enlighten" this negativity and gloom... hmmm... you're just going in circles... saying one thing, then another, then losing your place... 😵
You're the one pointing out the negativity and the fighting... (and yet, you're still hanging around here 😲 )...
Looks like nobody’s willing to play along with you...
I won't either... 😍 but regardless, I just wanted to point out one thing... you've managed to discover warm water... :clapping: :clapping: 😬

You don't sound arrogant or full of yourself; you just sound like a bit of an idiot... 🤣
thinking you'd find hard facts... 😂
on Reddit. 😂
If you're genuinely looking for facts, I honestly think you'd have better luck searching elsewhere...
and assuming you're capable enough to find them if that's what you're after...
but here's the reality:
