You make an excellent point...

I ended up resolving the issue using what I consider to be the most straightforward approach possible...
I simply utilized a router equipped with a WAN port, where I assigned a static IP address, while configuring the remaining ports and the Wi-Fi to distribute dynamic addresses via DHCP...
Greetings.

I would be most grateful if I could solicit some assistance from you experts here...

The situation is as follows...

I currently have a firewall in place that restricts internet access exclusively to a specific range of IP addresses. These addresses aren't handed out by DHCP; instead, they must be configured manually as static IPs. To provide some context, my DHCP server is set up to assign a range from x.x.x.1 to x.x.x.150, while those on automatic IP addresses are strictly limited to intranet access...

Is there perhaps some method by which devices could connect to an AP and utilize its IP address to reach the internet, acting as a sort of bypass?

I was wondering if anyone else here has dealt with such a diagnosis at this stage of their life? Beyond the standard advice my orthopedic surgeon already gave me—which basically boils down to limiting heavy impact, sticking to mobility work, and focusing on strengthening my quadriceps—is there anything else I should be doing to manage this?
