Alexander is a brilliant illustrator, but his directing is honestly pretty rough. It’s a shame he didn't bring on a more seasoned director or a veteran screenwriter. Still, I'm rooting for anyone willing to give it a shot...
I completely blanked on mentioning "See you later," which honestly feels more like something out of a horror movie...
"Life and Death of a Porn Gang" definitely leans into horror territory. Both "The Butterfly" and "Holy Place" were made by the same director, and they’re classic vampire flicks. Then you've got "Dead Zone," "TT Syndrome," and "Smallpox," which all carry those horror vibes, along with "Strangler vs Strangler." That’s pretty much everything I can think of. Oh, and there's some teenage trash called "Satan's Warrior," plus that "Mexican Film" project that hasn't even hit theaters yet...
I haven't heard of that movie, but I'd suggest checking out the documentary "see oneself in a obituary." 👍
