I’ll be honest, sometimes the smell of those multivitamins is enough to make me gag too 😢 especially that B vitamin scent—just absolutely revolting.
Usually, once people go through bariatric surgery, doctors tell them they really need to stick to liquid multivitamins to actually absorb the nutrients. I’ve looked into things like Centrum liquids; they have versions with iron, but honestly, word is those taste pretty terrible. The standard Centrum stuff is actually decent, though—kind of reminds me of a thick orange Gatorade or something similar. For adults, you just take a big tablespoon of the syrup once a day. It isn't breaking the bank either, usually around $$13 if my memory serves me right, and the bottles last a while. So, if you're struggling with pills, give the liquid route a shot; it might actually be tolerable for you. 🙂
edit: you can find it at any local CVS or Walgreens. 😉

Taylor Rogers said:-cheese (unless it's some fresh cow's milk variety)

Ever wonder why that is?
The whole theory behind it actually sounds pretty fascinating to me, and I’m a firm believer that we still have a massive amount to learn about how our own bodies actually function🙂
but it honestly baffles me that they've basically blacklisted the one type of cheese that most diet plans actually swear by...
I'm just sitting here scratching my head, being curious, I guess😉

edit:
Wait, I just noticed they've lumped it in under carbohydrates, right alongside yogurt and milk, which just leaves me more confused— http://www.coolinarika.com/namirnica...ition_analysis
Fainted during a blood draw in Health ·
So, I was just at the local clinic the other day to get some bloodwork done, and I watched this nurse draw blood from a patient who was lying completely flat. Right after she finished, I stepped in, and she just stayed there lying down for a bit before wandering off to the waiting room to finish up her shift with a cotton ball in hand 😁
It’s wild because even in these community health centers, they seem to have this whole issue with how things are handled—this was happening right in the lab over by the downtown medical center 😉
Slow metabolism: What actually works? in Health ·
So, I was digging around online the other day and stumbled upon some really glowing reviews for this supplement called Inumal—it’s mostly just inulin, which is basically a prebiotic fiber. I couldn't find a whole mountain of info when I tried Googling it, but I did manage to track down this one PDF document that seems to be specifically about the product; it goes into quite a bit of detail regarding how the digestive process actually works http://www.zdravljeizivot.com/include/pdf/inumal.pdf.
There’s also some additional context over here if you're interested

The manufacturer's official US website is still under construction, so it's pretty much useless for now, which is a bit of a letdown :/ but honestly, the price point looks pretty reasonable, so I can't see why I shouldn't give it a shot 😉.
Good luck to anyone else looking into this 🙂.

edit: I saw someone mention that it actually helped them get their digestion back on track, dealt with some annoying hemorrhoid issues, stopped that heavy, bloated feeling you get after a big meal, and they even dropped a few pounds as a side effect
Gastric balloon experience: Any thoughts? in Health ·
Morgan Jackson66 said:Hey hey... I'm back... been gone for a minute. Wasn't even in Washington, D.C., and honestly, where I was had zero service (thank God for that 😉)
Haven't actually started anything yet, but I'm diving in now, whatever happens, happens. Got an appointment tomorrow over in a suburb near the city, and first, I'm gonna go poke around to see who, when, and why. No clue what the deal is, but I just don't trust Mercy Hospital one bit 😢. Never actually been there myself, but... I don't know... screw it. I'll just head to the other clinic and call it a day... if they even have space. Like you guys mentioned, the doctor's name is Dr. Kolak? Anyway, I've gained weight and gotten super scatterbrained. All these doctors and medical terms have my head spinning... 🙂 girls, I read everything posted here since I last checked in. Glad to see you guys are making progress. Until I can jump in fully with my own results, I'll be rooting for you all and crossing my fingers that things go smoothly and fast... anyway, what's the word after 6 months? A new balloon or what?

Look, we don't really have anyone on this board who's actually had a balloon placed at that specific facility, so you'd be wise to give them a ring first just to see if they even offer that service anymore. It's better than driving all the way out there for nothing. :mis:
I mean, they probably do it, it's just that none of our usual patients here seem to go to that particular doctor.

edit: As far as I can tell, it isn't handled by a surgeon anyway; it's an endoscopic procedure, so you're likely looking for a gastroenterologist rather than a surgical specialist. 🤷

Correct me if I'm wrong, ladies, since you all know much more than I do. 🙂
I was thinking back to this one time my godparents' son was over in Germany and he couldn't stop throwing up; the doctor there actually told them—even though he admitted it wasn't standard practice—that they should try giving the kid some Coca-Cola in tiny little sips. I have absolutely no clue why that would even work, honestly 😕
(but apparently, it did)
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
thanks 🙂
so my pregnancy test came back negative 🙂 🙂 🙂

it’s kind of funny because my doctor over at the local clinic told me that a childhood illness shouldn't have any impact on my cycle 😕
but then the pharmacist over at CVS tells me that it’s actually a perfectly valid reason for things to get thrown out of whack, and basically suggested I should just be hoping that I'm not pregnant after all...
Aloe Vera Activator - Thoughts/Reviews? in Health ·
Olivia Lopez10 said:Has anyone ever heard of these miracle drops, and more importantly, does anyone actually have real-world experience with them?

The thing is, besides just being good for skin, people are claiming they work wonders for eye issues if you drop them directly into your eye. Apparently, it stings quite a bit, but supposedly it isn't harmful??

I'm just curious if anyone here has stumbled upon this or even knows anything about how aloe vera actually interacts with eyes, whether topically or internally.

Thanks.

I’ve used it myself, though not for my eyes—just for a nasty sunburn. Honestly, the redness seemed to vanish almost instantly, like magic 😲 but that was a few years back.

I did hear some talk about it being great for eyes, but that was coming straight from the salesperson, so I’m always a bit skeptical when someone’s trying to move product 🤷
If memory serves, the label on the bottle doesn't mention anything about using it that way at all.😕
Timothy Reed8 said:Hey Austin Lopez4!

Welcome to our little corner of the internet!🙂
The more people we have, the better... because honestly, there’s barely any info to go around here!

I’m still stuck in the exact same spot... just waiting... I had my hormone bloodwork done on May 2nd, and I still haven't seen the results. Ugh... at first, I thought the delay was actually helping me firm up my decision, but now I'm starting to freak out that maybe something went wrong somewhere... since it's been a full month already.

I had an appointment with a psychologist scheduled for today, but I had to force myself to reschedule, so the new date is June 13th. (And before you ask how that happened... as soon as I got the first date, I found out at work I couldn't make it... so I asked to move it immediately... but you know how it is with Mirković, the wait is endless... and they won't even recognize tests done elsewhere)

Austin Lopez4 ... (it feels so weird typing your name, like I'm constantly surprised by something 😛) ... I really hope things line up for you in June like you planned... it would be great if things worked out for me too, then we could go through this together...😉

Timothy Reed8, where did you go for those blood tests?
When I went to the Mayo Clinic, everything came straight to my house by mail within two weeks.
If I were in your shoes, I’d definitely give them a call and see what the hold-up is...

p.s. wishing everyone the best of luck with the balloon 🙂
