John Martin18 said:I’ve got this insane urge right now—if I could just teleport myself straight to a place like Gorica at light speed, I would. Especially if there were a few hundred of us trying to make the trip together.🎉 Look, man, if you actually want to head out to Gorica, what’s really holding you back? Are you sitting there on the scale, weighing your options, thinking, "Well, if the rest of the crew goes, I guess I'll go too"? It’s honestly hard to believe how much things have changed. When I look back at my own youth as a supporter compared to how things are handled here now... I just don't get it. Why is there so much hesitation and constant calculation? As for this massive boycott everyone's talking about—so far, nothing has actually been achieved. Or maybe I’m just misreading the situation, as usual. Do you guys still prefer having 200 "real" fans show up, or would you rather see a full stand? To me, the contrast between the 80s and today is just tragicomic. Back then, if we were heading to an away game, you'd clear your weekend without a second thought. Now? We have the internet, and all we have to show for it is endless, neurotic overthinking. I'm just waiting for the usual crowd to jump in and start the bickering. Best,

🤦

Since this Sunday falls on March 17th, that’s why I’m asking.

Is anyone planning on heading out to Gorica?

Like I said before, there’s going to be a massive amount of work ahead if we actually want to see things change.
Take Medveščak, for example. They did an incredible job with their PR. But the issue was that the whole project lacked a solid foundation and real substance from day one—something they were clearly aware of—so it ended up exactly how it did.
Dinamo actually has that substance; now they just need to focus on building those healthy foundations. A perfect example is ticket pricing. For years, the fans were conditioned with free tickets or dirt-cheap prices, and people got used to that mindset. Honestly, even the current prices feel a bit ridiculous. Not to mention how most of the core support only buys season tickets when prompted, only to realize later what they're actually missing out on regarding the benefits.

I think we should view the low attendance—or rather, the fading culture of actually showing up to the stadium—within the broader context of everything that’s been happening with the club over the last 30 years. Obviously, the management plays the biggest role here, but things like infrastructure, the lack of appeal in the league, and several other factors certainly don't help either. It isn't necessarily just because Washington, D.C. is a city without a massive hardcore fan base. Back in the old days, Dinamo was regularly the most watched team alongside Red Star and occasionally Hajduk. Things didn't change overnight; there's been a long process at work.

Also, if we want to see any real improvement, there's going to be a massive amount of work ahead of us. You have to build from that core base first, and then the group grows from there.

Just your typical clickbait article. In sports journalism, there are certain buzzwords—terms like "superstar," "die-hard fans," or specific team names—that are basically guaranteed to drive clicks, especially when you frame them around these recent water polo headlines.
In theory, journalism is one of the most honorable professions out there. In practice, though, with very few exceptions, it’s often little more than propaganda. Maybe I’m just being paranoid, but I find myself believing that more and more lately.
Don't go thinking this is just a local issue, either. Even abroad, where journalists might be more professional or better educated, it doesn't necessarily mean the quality is any better.
Luckily, we have the internet now, so if you actually want to get to the bottom of something, you can always do your own deep dive.

It looks like they’ve finally come to their senses. For next season, they're actually going to be buying extra tickets for the group stage.

The whole organization is a mess on every single level. You can see it in things like the membership process, not to mention how bad the merch store is.
I see plenty of people complaining about waiting forever for their membership cards, though mine actually showed up within a week.
I'm not entirely sure how you're signing up, but maybe try again in a week once the season kicks off. It’s quite possible the club's system is just totally empty right now.

We managed to secure 200 tickets from the last game (if I recall correctly, they approved another 100 after that).
If my memory serves me right, the fans wouldn't budge because they weren't offered any extra tickets beyond that initial 5% allocation. I honestly don't see them making any concessions for us.
It’s hard to wrap my head around their logic, though—it seems like a missed opportunity for them to bring in some revenue, but whatever.

I’m checking here to see if there’s a group of you who follows this stuff closely.

Basically, every Saturday on the back page of USA Today, alongside the Židakov column "from the forest," there used to be two or three extra articles.
Now, I can't remember the exact year or issue, but there was this one piece with a subtitle like "Even the dead live for Real Madrid" (the context was about this kid, if I recall correctly, from the Plains or somewhere out east in Chicago).
If anyone could scan that article for me; it was honestly one of the most powerful—and saddest—things I’ve ever read.

The North Side stands will be closed for the matches against LAFC (02.02.) and Slaven Belup (16.02.).

northernheron3 said:FIFA has started taking some pretty risky stances lately, punishing clubs for the actions of fans who fall outside their official control. It’s a bit much, honestly, holding a club responsible for chaos happening in areas they don't even manage as ticket distributors.

What exactly do you mean by that?

Robert Cooper60 said:Honestly, what kind of nonsense is this? Four days ago they’re claiming there are zero tickets left because everything is sold out, and then you show up and the stands are practically empty.

If a section holds maybe 600 or 700 people, it looks like they only actually put 300 tickets on sale.

[NOTICE]

We just released another 650 tickets for the lower North stands today. If you haven't managed to grab yours yet, I'd suggest heading over to Ticketmaster quickly before they're all gone!

SEE YOU ALL IN THE NORTH!

Look, we all know change needs to happen. But the Lakers are the Lakers. No matter what the context is, this is the club we ALL grew up with on this damn forum, so those feelings run deep for everyone, regardless of how much they might trash talk them.
I'll say it again: there's still plenty of fighting ahead of us to get back to a better, more transparent, "old school" Lakers. But that doesn't mean you should hate the club or the people for whom they remain number one, despite everything.

Keep the Lakers talk here. You're talking about the Lakers in the Bad Boys thread.

feralmoose9 said:You people are idiots and an embarrassment to this city.

Honestly, anyone who feels any kind of emotional connection to a club like this is unwell, one way or another.

The only ones posting here are fools and a few strange characters. First off, this isn't some legendary franchise like the Lakers; this is just GNK, and it’s nothing but pure evil.

Keep hanging in there, you losers.

Anyone criticizing kids under 25 for supporting them, buying jerseys, or actually wanting the team to play well... they're just morons and a disgrace.
