I feel like every time I sit down to actually watch something, I spend forty minutes just scrolling through a dozen different apps trying to remember which monthly subscription I need to reactivate. It used to be that you just waited for a specific thing to come out on a certain channel, but now everything is scattered across these niche platforms.

I've noticed a pattern where the really high-quality, artistic stuff—the kind that actually wins awards at festivals—seems to be getting tucked away into these tiny, specialized corners of the internet. It’s great for the creators, I guess, but it makes it so much harder for a casual viewer to actually discover them. I ended up missing a couple of great indie films last month simply because I didn't realize they had moved to a service I don't pay for.

Does anyone else feel like the fragmentation of media is making it harder to actually enjoy cinema? Or am I just getting old and tired of managing ten different logins?

I'm strictly forbidden from going outside right now
and as for the television thing, I don't really see why I wouldn't be able to watch normally, provided I keep this "bad" eye covered.🤷

Look, you can watch TV—I've tried it myself—but trying to do it with one eye open was exhausting; I couldn't even last thirty minutes before my head started spinning. 🙂 Does it feel like your sense of space is getting a bit wonky? Personally, I keep bumping into doorframes 😂

About a year ago, I took a stapler directly to the eye—luckily, I didn't fire it out of a handgun, or I wouldn't even have an eye left to talk about. It took about a week for things to settle down and heal up.

You don't need to wear a patch constantly—just while you're showering or washing your face—but if you're heading outdoors, it’s a non-negotiable. As for screen time, I'm not sure if you can watch TV or use a computer normally; my eye would get exhausted incredibly fast, so I mostly just laid around doing nothing. Regarding your fourth question, I honestly can't give you a straight answer since my situation wasn't quite that severe.
