Good God, when does the sun even come up in New York City? In San Francisco, you can see everything by 6 AM even without power.
And those people who supposedly would've been outside—what, camping under the roofs of drafty old buildings waiting for dawn like they usually do a few hours after 6:25 AM? Then they'd all "suddenly" die?
