Meeting the new grandparents went fine. We just ignored some of Grandpa's comments, so it was alright.
But the drive home? Total disaster. We missed our exit and ended up stuck in a massive traffic jam just five minutes from the house. The line of cars was endless. Minutes were ticking by, and luckily Baby was still asleep. Then a police car tried to weave through the gridlock, its lights flashing, and that woke Baby right up. He started crying, I gave him a bottle, but he wasn't having it and just kept screaming. Traffic wouldn't budge an inch. Hans pulled the car onto the grass, so I’m out there unbuckling Baby from his seat to nurse him. Finally, the cars start moving again, and of course, people are honking at us through their windows because we're standing on the side of the road. 🙂
