Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Anyone else still messing around with codecs here? 😕
Just curious, what's the actual reason you're using them?
You can actually grab some templates directly through Microsoft Office online.

Though, wait—didn't you get a template or maybe a web address on those stickers to download the same thing?
Well, you definitely took the wrong turn there 🤣

So, tell me—what exactly have you tried so far, and why isn't the uninstall working? What kind of error message are you getting?
I'm sure you've got it with the arrow key too. Just give it a quick search.

They won't get back to you until Monday 😁 If I were you, I'd just hang tight for a bit 😬
I mean, I don't think it's going to be a huge deal, but personally? I wouldn't go through the hassle of reinstalling everything just because of that 😁

Check what it says on the box about that, don't go reinstalling 😁

Wait, what exactly did you pick up? Was it an OEM version or the one from Walmart? It’s gotta be just 32-bit, right? Are you absolutely sure there isn't an option to choose during the installation process?

Wait, what kind of adapter are we even talking about here?

Honestly, just go ahead and install that XP setup. You can just slipstream the drivers using nLite, and just be careful during the installation process so you don't mess up the boot menu. A quick Google search should clear that part right up for you. 🙂

I'm pretty sure everything you need is tucked away right here:

Give it a read. 😁

No need, that part is already built-in.
And honestly, don't bother trying—it just won't work that way. This Windows XP you’ve got running thinks it's sitting on its own dedicated machine, but it's actually just being emulated through software (maybe VirtualBox?) which handles all the graphics, sound, mouse, keyboard, and everything else. So, while things that work on your actual PC hardware might work in the virtual environment, it doesn't work the other way around since the virtual setup isn't directly connected to your physical hardware.

I think I'll give this VirtualBox thing a shot... 🙂

If you're absolutely certain that Bluetooth is dead (like, you've actually tried all the official drivers), then that's it—just go grab a new one 🙂

Wait, what exactly are we talking about here?

A virtual machine won't help you with something like that. I thought we were talking about a specific software program that won't run on Windows 7, because if a program doesn't work on Windows 7, it definitely won't work on a virtual machine[/.I]

@gentlemarlin102/">@@gentlemarlin102, you should probably try slipstreaming those drivers, just search Google for 🙂

So, quick question though—why do you even need Windows XP? It might actually be a way better idea to just run it as a virtual machine instead. Just some food for thought 😉

How do I set that up? thanks!

Hey there 😁
Have you had a chance to check out the Event Viewer yet?

Hit Start, type in run (or just use Win Key + R), then enter eventvwr.msc

When you boot things up, you should probably get a prompt asking if you want to run a recovery. Most likely, there’s a recovery partition sitting on your drive that lets you reset Windows back to its factory settings—kind of like that "day one" feeling when you first unboxed the computer.

Any other fixes would pretty much require grabbing an OEM version of Windows from somewhere else and doing a clean install using the product key from your sticker.

Just scroll down a bit, it should start right with Always 😁

How do you sort entries alphabetically in a Word table?

Just select the table (the stuff you want to sort), look at the top (middle) under Table Tools (yellow), hit Layout, then there's a Sort button over on the right. You can figure out the rest from there😁

Scott Jackson16 said:Hey there. Small problem—I've got Microsoft Office 2007 set to English. Now, I need it to underline spelling and grammar mistakes in my American texts for proofreading, but it isn't doing that. I noticed under that little checkmark + ABC icon, it only shows English, Spanish, and French.

So, do I have to reinstall Microsoft Office 2007 with American settings, or is there some kind of American language add-on I can just download somewhere? If so, where?

Basically, you either need that language pack or you need to switch the whole Office setup to American.

Just like how a lot of programs have that option under tools/language where you can just pick which language the interface uses.

From what I know, that feature has been around since Office 2007. You basically buy separate language packs—I think they're about $10—and then you get the menus, the help files, and the spell checker updated for that specific language. For those really old versions, I honestly doubt it exists. Was there even an American version of Office 2000 back then? 😕
Where exactly did you get stuck? 😁

Are you running Word 2003, 2007, or maybe 2010?
Insert, Text box (just your standard text box in Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010)

So, you just draw it out, select it, right-click on the border, and set the Line color to: No color

Then you just type in whatever you want, make it any size you need, pop it wherever you feel like, and then just hit Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V as many times as you need to get the job done😁
