I actually have a dictionary from 1983, published by Scholastic in New York, and everything was censored back then in the old US, yet the definition provided is exactly as stated above.
If you look at even older dictionaries, you’ll find these same definitions for words that have existed for centuries or even millennia—words used by the ancient Romans, which serve as their linguistic roots and were defined under Roman Law. This trend of equating nationalism with chauvinism only started a few years ago, driven by certain local pseudo-intellectuals and old-school hardliners. Eventually, they'll probably work their way into future editions of unwritten dictionaries... 🙂

Lip is banned, and that's that. What really gets me thinking, though, is why Zagorakis and LjBB were banned right along with him. From what I could see, they weren't swearing or doing anything else that would actually warrant a ban, right?
Is it just about the overall vibe... or maybe...

This feels like a direct assault on our cultural heritage!
I mean, back home in the States, when we want to tell someone they’re one of the good ones, we might say, "You're a real straight shooter!" or something equally blunt. 🙂

Come on, just hit me with one spicy insult or at least roast me a little bit...
You know I actually kind of enjoy it when people talk trash to me...
All this sweet, sugary nonsense is just boring...
Please, just give me something real!
