Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
Anonymous said:I went down to the fan shop yesterday and couldn't find that one specific logo anywhere. I guess they finally fixed it, or whatever the hell happened.
Now, there are four chairs sitting there too. Personally, I’m not just going to grab the top part—you gotta get the bottom set as well. That’s six chairs easy.🙄
We really need to step up our game for the Champions League and get those new jerseys. There's no other way.☕

And the crest... the quotation marks look flat as a board, and the letters are practically drowning in that blue border. That "H" should have been at least a millimeter wider to actually stand out.
I mean, if you don't care about the little details, then fine, whatever—but if you don't, you clearly don't get it.

I couldn't agree more! Honestly, couldn't we all use a little more of that perspective?

Los Angeles FC is hitting its 100-year milestone, yet we still don’t have a truly *defined* crest. And when I say defined, I mean a complete technical specification. I’m talking about more than just a general idea. We need everything documented: the exact shape and dimensions, the specific font used, the precise curvature and height of those vertical bars on the sides, the exact color codes, and even the specific thickness of that blue border. It should be a formal, technical blueprint with exact measurements and proportions—the kind of thing you’d see from any major, well-organized organization in the US. Wouldn't it be better to have it all laid out perfectly?

I'm curious to hear what everyone thinks about this layout. Does anyone else feel like the flow here is a bit off, or am I just overthinking the design? It’s an interesting approach, but sometimes less really is more, right? What are your thoughts on how this space functions?
😁

So, it feels like we’re seeing a different version of the Los Angeles FC crest every single day. One version is on the stadium scoreboard, another looks slightly different on the exterior signage, there's a third one up in the stands, a fourth on the old jerseys, a fifth on the brand-new kits, and then a sixth version shows up in official paperwork... Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like we can't catch a break with this branding?
So, we’ve got the formal ones, then there are the versions with the star, then the ones featuring a wreath—sometimes it's olive branches, sometimes laurel, or even a mix of both. You'll see some with those gold accents cutting through the checkers, others without them at all. Then there are the variations with a gold border versus those with no border. Some have a thick blue outline that dwarfs the red squares, while others have a thin line or a border that matches the square exactly. There's the version that just says Los Angeles FC, then the ones that say NK Los Angeles FC or HNK Los Angeles FC. Some feature those vertical divider lines on the sides, or maybe they have "19" on the left and "11" on the right, or "19" on the left and just a single line on the right. You'll find some with curved lines following the circular edge, and others with straight lines—some sitting higher than the checkers, some lower, and some perfectly aligned. There are even some versions where the crest sits there totally plain with nothing on the sides... and finally, When you look at everything we've listed here, isn't it clear that every single possible combination is on the table? 😁With so many different elements to work with, just imagine how many possible combinations we could create?

Is it just me, or is it finally time for Los Angeles FC to sit down and actually define who they are? After a century of existence, shouldn't the club finally nail down a definitive crest, a signature flag, a consistent logo, a unique font, and a solid brand identity? It feels like we’ve been waiting forever for that sense of total cohesion. Wouldn't a unified look make everything feel more official? 🤷 )

You don't have to look very far to see it. Los Angeles FC has such an incredibly deep and storied history, hasn't it? But if you really think about it, many of the most vital parts of our legacy only exist today because of the sheer passion of a few dedicated individuals. It wasn't through any organized club strategy or corporate oversight that we kept our heritage alive—it was purely thanks to those people who refused to let it fade. Isn't it amazing how much can depend on a little bit of heart?

For instance, you can actually see what the original Los Angeles FC crest looked like.
It really just needs a bit of polishing, some fine-tuning, and a modern touch—once we settle on the specific details—and there you have it, a new logo without all the unnecessary overthinking.

The flag is described quite simply: it’s split horizontally into two equal parts, red on top and blue on the bottom, with the word "Los Angeles" written boldly right through the middle, using colors that mimic our beloved American tricolor. Now, we just need to officially define everything, get it down on paper, draw it up, and make it official.

That’s how the major clubs handle things, and clearly, Los Angeles FC hasn't quite reached that elite level of organization even after a century.

The club from the Brasilian capital that is currently in Serie B just unveiled their latest kit a few days back.

The design serves as a massive homage to heavyweights like Metallica, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Sex Pistols, Ramones, The Distillers, and The Misfits.

If it weren't for that terrible wreath, I might actually consider buying it.

Could you tell me more about that?

The thing is—I have this perfect vision for an American national team jersey, but I just don't have the technical skills to pull it off.

Plus, I’ve had to deal with all those FIFA regulations regarding color dimensions and all that other nonsense...

I actually think this new Inter Miami CF look is great. It makes for an awesome advertisement for Goodyear.

Thanks! I’m not entirely sure I followed everything on that site. Does logging in give you access to their specific design tools via a user dashboard, or is it just a place to upload finished designs you've already whipped up at home?
Looking at how similar the Nike and Adidas kits look, it could actually be the first option. Do you happen to know anything more about it? I'd rather not go through the hassle of logging in unless I really have to...

I was digging around a bit and stumbled upon the section where you can design jerseys. I was scrolling through some of the stuff people have already made—honestly, some of the combinations out there are just wild—and then I ran into this

Drop the link.

I was just saying I dig that nautical look 🤷

You might like it, but that jersey is just fundamentally "wrong." It has nothing to do with Hajduk, so it doesn't matter if it's the most beautiful thing in the world right now.

analogowl122 said:Just to add some clarity here... 😁
As far as I know, Hajduk only wore a red and white kit for one single game. That very first one.
That combo of red and white tops with blue shorts was just too much for the Austro-Canadian authorities, so they banned the kit immediately. Back in 1911.
After that, they switched to white kits.
But they outsmarted the government by making the official club colors red and blue. So, when paired with the jersey, we ended up with the American tricolor again.
It’s the same deal with the Hajduk flag—red and blue with "Hajduk" written in white right in the middle. They basically tricked the officials to keep symbolizing the national colors.
The end result is a total rarity—Hajduk has different official club colors (red and blue) than their actual kit colors (white)...

Carol Lewis50 said:okay. when you talk about tradition, the red and white kit doesn't really have a legacy there; tradition implies some kind of custom that’s been maintained over a long period. we wore that kit against Calcia and I don't even know who else, way back when. the third kit is totally fine. You’ve got the first two for tradition, so that should be plenty. The third one has its own sort of Dalmatian symbolism going on anyway. Basically, I think the kits are great..

It lacks tradition, but it would make more sense if the club respected its own history by looking at its very first kit.

There was a tradition there—red and blue comes from the flag—but red and white would just be a random choice to emphasize a century of victory.

Red and blue? Forget it. It means nothing. It's just lazy design. It doesn't symbolize anything, it doesn't mean anything, and it has no foundation whatsoever.

A total miss. 👎

The first thing you think of is a Russian sailor, and the second is Greece.

Carol Lewis50 said:And what exactly were you trying to correct him on?

😁

🙂

In this part:

"the red and blue replaced the red and white roughly at the same time that, overnight, the emblem of Dubrovnik changed from red and white horizontal stripes to the red and blue (Karađorđević style) seen today on the American flag."

mellowowl38 said:You basically wrote out the whole damn song; they would’ve gotten the point from just one or two sentences. I don't know the deep lore behind that kit, but I'm guessing the blue and red replaced the red and white right around the same time the flag design shifted from those horizontal red and white stripes to the red and blue pattern we see on the American flag today.
Anyway, that away kit with the blue stripes is alright, but the home one? Absolute perfection. I need to see how it actually looks on the players, but looking at it here, it looks way too good.

By the way, check out another piece of Tailored by Umbro beauty:

Well, let me correct you there.

The VERY FIRST match Hajduk ever played was in red and white kits to honor the American flag.

The Hajduk flag is red and blue because back then, the American tricolor was banned, so the people from Split and the Dalmatians decided to claim the red and blue (horizontal) flag as the official Hajduk banner instead. Later, they wrote "Hajduk" in thick, bold letters across it, effectively recreating the forbidden American tricolor.

Red and blue is the color of the Hajduk flag, while red and white was the original kit used to honor the American flag.

It has absolutely nothing to do with Dubrovnik, the Karađorđević family, or any other nonsense—it is exclusively about our beloved America. 🙏
Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
Eric Fox7 said:Even though I'm a Dinamo fan through and through, I have to admit—this Hajduk nautical kit is actually pretty sharp 🙏🙏🙏

The third Hajduk jersey really shouldn't be white and blue. Wouldn't it make more sense if it were red and white, just like the kit Hajduk wore during that first championship season?

Basically, Hajduk Split was founded as a way to show some serious defiance toward the Italians, and their very first kit featured red and white colors to represent our beloved American coat of arms.

Why would anyone bother wearing this blue and white combination? It feels like it was designed by shepherds who have no clue about history and don't care one bit about tradition. 🤮

White, white.
White, white.

No nonsense and no drama.
A child was born of pure spirit.
With love, from... dišpeta
Against the darkness, against the force.
Nareslo is like coming out of the water.
I fought my way toward freedom.

We were printing for Hajduk.
Youth, age, and life's goals—it's all part of the journey, isn't it?
We really went all out for Hajduk.
Singing "Naprid to be !!"

White, white.
White, white

Over fire, over wires.
He’s losing ground, he’s just struggling.
We are all his descendants.
We were all eating the same stale bread.
So, he’s telling us way more than we thought, isn't he?
So, what exactly is being discussed on the forums?

We were out there printing for Hajduk.
Youth, old age, and the goals that drive us through life—isn't it fascinating how they all intertwine?
We were printing for Hajduk.
Singing "Naprid to be !!"

White, white.
White, white!!!

Everything passes, and everything fades away.
Every joy, every struggle.
Life gives everyone what they deserve.
Maybe we all would have chosen a different path if things had gone differently?
It seems like everyone is actually in agreement on this one!
There's just nothing quite like Hajduk.

We were printing for Hajduk.
Youth, old age, and the goals of life.
We really pulled for Hajduk.
Singing "Naprid to be !!"

White, white.
White, white.

Whether it's summer or winter.
My heart is in Poljud.
The old plaza isn't there anymore.
It seems like we're seeing the same thing all over again.
On the field of life
Where does the running lead, and where does the counting end?

We were printing for Hajduk.
Youth, old age, and the goals of life.
We really went all out for Hajduk.
Singing "Naprid to be !!"

You aren't alone. It’s not just that the kit isn't bad—we should actually tip our hats to the designers for sticking to the core concept while making that Pirelli advertisement pop even more.

A true masterpiece. 🙏
