Who do we owe? in Economy ·

So yeah, I guess the folks in Iceland just have a permanent spot in my heart or whatever.
From the teenagers and college kids all the way up to the retirees.

rustywalker82 said:Actually, Japan's public debt is 214% of GDP, not just external debt.
Debt slavery is a mess cooked up by European politicians; the markets are just reacting to whatever moves those European institutions make.

http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/cac...2013-AP-EN.PDF

Back in 2009, the UK had a public debt-to-GDP ratio of 67%, Austria was at 70%, Germany at 75%, Belgium at 96%, France at 80%, and the Netherlands was at 60%.

Around that same time, the American government owed 36.6% of its GDP, Spain was at 54%, Canada was at 35%, the Baltic states were even lower, and various transitional European countries outside the EU were also all under 35%.
What happened was that creditors from those high-debt countries decided they needed to protect their capital from the credit expansion hitting the private sector in "new Europe" and places like Greece. Their solution? Liquidating Mediterranean countries.
And those stupid states just went along with it.

Spot on.

The Mediterranean along with Ireland got totally wiped out because they owed money to the Germans, while the Germans didn't owe them a damn thing.
Everything else was just sixty-nine different Ponzi schemes.

Nah, don't go playing the rebel, just keep doing your thing and show some respect to the boss.

I honestly thought you’d head out to grab a few extra pounds of that dried leaf stuff, you know, those AT&T types... well, you know how it goes with Mr. Mudrinić... making sure his crew gets their fill. I guess you can't really lay down new 62 miles wireless cables on an empty stomach.
If you aren't holding any AT&T stock, just ignore everything I just said.

Thank God!
Vidin isn't even around right now, and I honestly just totally screwed myself thinking—I guess I figured that big guy... you know... Charles was gone.
The agency basically stripped him bare... some kind of short on that... clock thing or whatever.
That bearded American guy and his whole crew from the streets is just gonna wreck him.
Anyway, take care of yourself... hope this lasts a while.

I mean, whatever, it’s just a job, a hobby, or some big flashy show business thing...
Honestly, who even cares at this point...

Pretty weak, honestly... I was expecting way more from this.
Maybe go check the US Mint website and see if there are any actual silver bullion coins left for sale, or if they just flushed the whole stock down the toilet.

And trying to talk spot prices? I might as well walk into a Dolatz with a box of condoms and ask the cashier what's going on.
She’d probably just snap at me, calling me some kind of shady criminal for even asking about those fake market bubbles, like, damn, who has the energy for that nonsense...
Or maybe she's just some retiree who can't tell the difference between a local apple and an import, even though she’s been stocking the same stuff forever.

So, what's your poison?

So, when is the big day actually happening?
Lent wraps up on March 31st, if my memory isn't totally shot.
Then I guess it might just start drifting toward that number... but honestly, when is it actually gonna hit?🤷

I mean, I guess it’s like how I was basically holding them right up there next to Mel Gibson and those absolute units in forest boots... Antonio Banderas.
Man, you're totally killing me here... ever since I started watching movies in reverse like Memento... I don't know, I just don't think my brain can handle much more of that with this head full of smoke and cheap bitters.

Look, I know everyone’s got their own struggles, but I honestly get this nagging feeling that coal miners might actually be pulling in better numbers than the entire US economy combined.

If you’re some kind of shady operator, you just report it to our Credit Union and they’ll absolutely skin you alive with those 10% plus 25% fees... then after maybe a month or so, you end up crawling back to the desert to claim your 20% VAT (those silver-spoon types) and grab a macchiato in Vienna while staring at the scenery.
If you’re just a total pushover...😉
I mean, cars and gas are basically luxury items anyway, I guess.

Regarding those Germans... I guess they aren't actually clueless, maybe they just don't have any other moves left.
They're basically acting like the dealers for all of Europe... they lend out the cash and then we miserable Mediterraneans end up buying their "shit" in return. It's kind of like that whole USA-China symbiosis thing. Honestly, who cares if some Italian spends more of those "communal" euros on a damn macchiato than on pension funds? All they really care about is making sure that German gear keeps the coffee grinders running.

Personally, I suspect this will drag on for years, regardless of how overextended the bond market looks. We aren't just dealing with experts here; we're dealing with actual magicians—masters of deception. Let gold stay right where it is for now... there are certain advantages to that.

Look, if you rip something in half—could be a t-shirt or even your car—and then try to patch it back together as best you can, it just isn't the same anymore, right? If you take a paper version of Tomislav, tape him back together, and walk into a bank... well, you just end up with a new paper version of Starčević... so, I guess the paper itself didn't actually lose any value.

Gold – What Now Quote : The Goldbugs

I guess it feels like The Goldbugs are already banding together to basically silence me, which is pretty typical, I suppose. They’re still stuck on that whole BUY and hold and ara against The idea of trading mindset, and honestly, if gold prices take a dip, they just claim it's some massive conspiracy instead of admitting the math might be wrong. It’s kind of funny how they act exactly like the government—just shutting down anyone who doesn't fall in line with their specific worldview. Like they always say, the truth is supposed to set you free, but man, it usually just pisses you off first.

😢
You really just have to ride the wave, I mean, stop trying to boss the market around if you actually want to stay afloat. Everything happens when it happens, and maybe gold just isn't quite ready for its big moment yet.

🙂
The government is absolutely desperate for cash, and I bet they’re going to get real ugly before this entire system finally hits the wall... they aren't exactly the type to go gracefully into the sunset.
