Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Here’s the deal:
My period was four days late this month😲, but before that, I had this super light spotting for about eight days. The weirdest part was that the actual heavy bleeding only lasted about an hour😲—like, I swear 80% of the flow happened in that one single hour.😲 That intense burst ended with a large clot, and then it just settled back into my usual pattern, like on day three, though it was much lighter than what I normally experience on my first day. I didn't have any cramps at all, which is strange because usually there's some level of pain, but this time? Nothing.
Has anyone dealt with this or got any advice?!
P.S. I'm waiting for my OBGYN to get back from vacation so I can book an appointment; I need to wait until at least day 10 of my cycle for a Pap smear (today is day 5, and the bleeding has basically stopped... whereas it usually lasts 5 or 6 days...😲). My cycle is such a total mystery right now... I'm even starting to wonder if it could be pregnancy-related, like a chemical pregnancy or early miscarriage (I've been reading up on it), especially since the complete lack of pain is throwing me off completely...🤷

Anyone? 😕

Stress🤷
(I'm super consistent with my OBGYN appointments—once a year, always on schedule, and I never skip the ultrasound...🤣... last time was just six months ago and everything checked out perfectly... ugh, this is so frustrating...😠)

Look, I don't feel like scrolling through every single thread just to find an answer... I started getting this "period" on day 18 of my cycle (and I’m putting that in quotes because it's so light I'm literally just using thin liners), and it's been going on for 8 days now at this exact same intensity. Just to be clear, by my usual schedule, I shouldn't even expect my actual period for another two days
Honestly, I really don't have the energy to drag myself back to the doctor right now, so I'm just waiting to see how things play out over the next few days, but in the meantime—has anyone else dealt with something like this?
