I suppose if The Dead Kennedys play for just fifteen minutes, it might be alright.😁

The 2024 guide mentions Fennesz being featured at the Biennale, though I think Bakin's Tooth was listed back in '23.
And according to the printed program for the electronic music scene at The Viper Room:

I suppose everything will eventually find its way to us, maybe. :/

Oh, wow! 👋
I actually caught a bit of you guys playing the other day when I was heading out of my building, and I have to admit, I was a little caught off guard by the sound. 🙂
Well. Dammit. I can't make it this Friday. 🙂

Konstantin Krasnitsky from Belarus remains a lovely memory for me, both as a performer and a teacher. I was lucky enough to see him perform twice.
The American, Rotman—his Debussy just sounds so refined.
...Man, if only I could recall all the names right now... 🙂
Glenn Gould is simply wonderful 😍 especially that little humming he does while he plays 🙂
Oh... and Keith Jarrett 😍 that jazz pianist 🙂

Ha! Evenings at Papillon

Hi. I was wondering what the lineup looks like for next week? I have someone visiting from out of town, so I'm trying to decide whether I should take them to Papillon or if it might be better to skip it.

What are you even rambling about?
Well, I suppose I should mention that Mate was just praising Battles on the recent thread.
And hey, they went ahead and added EP B and EP C again. 🙂

I just finished listening to EP B and EP C... I’m currently going through EP B, and I have to admit, it feels much more approachable to me than the 🙂 album, honestly. I think I might actually really enjoy this one.

I suppose, by all laws of psycho-physical attraction, I really ought to like them. I’ve been listening to Mirrored on and off for God knows how long now, and I’ve realized that I always seem to lose my patience right around the fifth track; either I just skip it entirely, or my focus simply evaporates and I end up ignoring the rest of the 😁. Though, who knows, maybe if I actually manage to make it through the whole album before the year ends, it might just find its way onto my favorites list. Right now, though, it’s mostly just a bit irritating.

Alex Scott22 said:Well, if that's the case, maybe you could suggest a band you've recently enjoyed dancing to that lacks any real "awareness."☕
The Ramones feel like a completely calculated project and concept. I suppose some people recognize that, while others might prefer not to see it.😉
We should probably just admit that we're all a bit snobbish, and 🙂

I guess he's telling the truth.

I know, but I was feeling pretty bored yesterday evening, and that post about Mozart was just funny enough that my fingers started itching to type. It isn't as if I didn't try to resist the urge. 😬 😳

It’s not really my place, and I probably wouldn't have even chimed in if the conversation hadn't taken such an unpleasant turn. I suppose I don't particularly care what anyone else listens to, provided they aren't attacking things they clearly know nothing about.

Robin Rodriguez5 said:If we’re being completely honest, I suppose Gego, Šo, and Mazgoon are either the only ones playing island rock, or they were at one point. Personally, I’ve always felt that kopito is probably the weakest group in that specific scene.
I find it hard to believe we actually agree on anything here, 🙂
though I suppose it's possible. After all, just because three bands play some sort of niche music doesn't mean Max Jurcic or whoever coined the term "island rock" should get to define it. Using a made-up label to describe a genre and then trying to be serious about it is, well, it's almost funny. 😁It’s just lighthearted music, really. It isn't meant to have deep value; its primary purpose is simply to entertain people. There isn't much artistry there, nor any real pursuit of quality.
And honestly, reading a post that lumps Mozart, Matt Bulić, and kopito together is quite fascinating, in its own way. 😬
Besides, in my previous post, I was actually addressing Lisa Flores74. Nicholas Perez33 had shared an illustrative snippet regarding what a young lady thinks of those of us who listen to this "strange" kind of music.
Haha... this video report is just painfully dull; I guess it feels like someone from a sleepy Midwestern suburb wrote it. And then there's that overly romantic shot of the guy—he looks more like he’s crooning on a soft rock radio station than playing punk 😁

I suppose some people just weigh music more heavily in their lives than others. For me, it’s all about the grunge bands, whereas for you, it might be kopito—and that’s perfectly fine. I gave up long ago trying to convince anyone what counts as "good" or "bad"; at the end of the day, it's a matter of personal taste. But perhaps you shouldn't try to prove to hollowseal33 or anyone else (specifically those who spend their last few dollars and endless free time on live shows) that kopito is actually worth it, because you likely won't find any decent arguments to support it, even if you searched your entire soul. As I mentioned, music matters more to some than to others. I don't really see the point in arguing with someone who, for example, is an expert on graphic novels when I've mostly just read Garfield and Snoopy.

I suppose there might be some sort of brilliant concept emerging for a band here. 🙏 I suppose one might consider keeping a close eye on the concept for the "Golden Rooster."
If you'll have me, I suppose I'm in. 🙂
I suppose this thread is mostly for those who have an affinity for kopito; perhaps we should just let them be, even if they seem to be living under a bit of a delusion. 😈
Regarding that post from Indianapolis... 🤣 🙏 😬

Look at how they're trying to stir the pot. 😛
And for what? I've been an adult for quite some time now. 😢

Regardless of how things turn out, I guess the truth is you can still catch a decent concert at AOL every now and then🙂
so, yeah, thanks

First off, I suspect that even band members fail to spell his name correctly in the vast majority of cases—if you bother to look back at Alex Scott22's older posts on the forum.
I suspect alcohol might be the culprit here, if I'm being honest. 😬
I suppose I don't quite see the issue with someone choosing an opening act they haven't personally listened to yet, provided they’ve actually taken the time to look them up and heard enough good things to be interested.
I suppose it’s fair to say that they’ve certainly been making quite a bit of noise in New York City lately, if that's true...
I guess we should probably give the guy a chance; he’s still booking shows at different venues, after all. It’s not like the late legend would want us constantly measuring everything others do at AOL against his old concerts... maybe we just need to back off a little.
I suppose I'm willing to give him a shot; he seems quite humble and self-effacing in his previous post. 😍
I suppose I should promise to stop lecturing him in public; perhaps if an offer is truly irresistible, I'll just stick to sending him a private message instead. 😬
I suppose you already know how much I truly care about you. 😘
Living here in Chicago, I suppose you just end up running into all sorts of characters. 😛
