Well, it’s a small thing—it shows up in the title, the intro, and a few other spots. It’s Metallica, not Comittee. I guess it might seem like I'm nitpicking, but if you're acting as the organizer, you really ought to get the band's name right. It seems like it would be helpful to look them up beforehand, especially since they play in New York City quite often; it feels a bit strange that someone stepping into an organizing role would be this uninformed. But then again, maybe it's just because Jerry Patel6 is still finding his footing, and Matt used to take such good care of us before he left.

So, does that mean you'll actually learn how to spell their name right by their next gig? 🙂 I've seen them a few times now, and I think this might finally be "it." They sound incredible, the energy is just perfect, and while I thought Gabi was a great vocalist, the singer from Japan definitely brings more raw energy to the stage. Anyway, it was a pretty decent night for me. If that heavy bass amp hadn't nearly crushed my foot, I suppose it would have been even better... 😬

It goes without saying that Ziggy is the law. Whenever he’s performing in town, I find myself heading straight downtown just to catch his set. Even when I'm out in the Midwest, I'll make sure to put him on my playlist so I can listen. He’s a genuine soul, I suppose.
How am I just now finding out about this?? Is Nirvana actually playing in Chicago??? Here I am, listening to it again, and I still can't quite wrap my head around what makes it so special. It’s charming, I suppose, but perhaps not enough to truly fall in love with. To me, "Who Do You Love" is really the only standout track. I think I might give *Tyranny of distance Hearts of Oak shake The Sheets* a shot too, since Bob essentially invented the internet, after all. Sigh. 🙂
It’s probably for the best that the Eagles came out on top. That was my pick as well, and I suppose my choices are usually the right ones. Though, I have to say, I always thought someone still loves you Boris Yeltsin had a certain charm to it. ☕
MIT is hosting an antifa freshman orientation. I suppose I’m just getting too old for these freshman events, all that hyperactive youth energy obsessed with ska and other dreadful genres. It’s certainly not my scene. 🙂
Music might eventually make me happy or even soften my edges—and I truly experience it with my whole soul—but get me fired up? I suppose that’s just not in my nature.

I’m not particularly interested in them, though I suppose I have to admit I’m looking forward to what might be a decent show at Madison Square Garden, if I can actually manage to stay awake through it. It feels like it’s been ages since I last headed down to the Garden, and since I’ve caught so many great sets there in the past, I guess I just kind of miss that atmosphere. 🙂
