I got this chicken noodle soup recipe from a nurse about a year ago. It’s a bit bland, but the best part is you can whip up a massive batch that lasts the whole week. I paired it with all sorts of steamed veggies—nothing with heavy sauces or breading. I also had chicken, turkey, or fish with brown rice, plus a green salad every other day and two slices of whole grain bread daily. I stuck to one cup of coffee in the morning and one in the evening, using 1% milk. I ate five small meals a day and always had an apple with the skin on before lunch. That routine helped me drop 45 pounds and brought my cholesterol down.
This soup isn't just for dieting; it's actually great for detoxing your system.👍
I just got my lab results back today, and they're just a bunch of confusing abbreviations. Luckily, they’re reporting normal values on their end, so I can finally see exactly where I stand against the borderline.
Could someone please explain what RBC, HGB, and WBC stand for? 😕 Thanks.
I thought you could change it since one lady tried to grab her kid's medical records last time. It almost turned into a full-blown fight. Honestly, I think the issue is just me—I tend to believe everything my doctor tells me. But hey, it's her field of expertise. 🙄
I was actually thinking about switching doctors, but I waited a bit too long. It looks like my current one might become the director of the local health center, so she’ll be leaving our area soon. Fingers crossed.
About three weeks ago, I caught the flu, a virus, or something else entirely. Ever since I was a kid, I dealt with monthly throat infections and fevers. When I turned 18, I finally had my tonsils out, and things improved to just once a year after that. But at the start of this month, it all came back—swollen throat, painful swallowing, a stuffed nose, and a fever. My doctor listened to my lungs and prescribed Sumamed, 500 mg once a day. Since that didn't help, she switched me to Augmentin, 1000 mg twice a day. I went through two full boxes. I still have a few of those massive pills left, but I’m stuck with a 99-degree fever, a burning throat, and traces of blood when I blow my nose. I just feel exhausted, wiped out, and generally terrible. Unfortunately, my doctor basically asks patients what meds they want right out of the gate, and honestly, I've had enough pills! Regardless, I think I need to go back to her. Should I ask her for some actual tests? Thanks.
mistyjackal8, if you're looking to launch your business today, you'll need about $6.75 in startup capital—not just cash, but equipment worth that amount counts too. Between the notary fees and filing costs, expect to shell out roughly $1.25 .
I stick to natural fabrics my bedding is all the same I even have anti-static carpets but I’m still getting shocked—don't even get me started on the light bulbs🙄
I swear I’m one of the first people on the planet to catch the flu every single year. This year I've been taking a Vitamin C supplement every day and (knock on wood) I haven't even sneezed once.🙂
The static buildup at my place is so intense people actually back away when I try to give them a birthday hug. Once, our noses even brushed by accident—it was like a literal lightning strike! 🙄 It was kind of funny at first, but eventually, I just started feeling like some kind of weird alien. A coworker once suggested we test my body's electrical resistance, and he looked totally stunned by the result, though he didn't say a word about it. Another time, just like a lot of people visiting Esoterica, I placed my palm on one of those bioenergy reading plates and the needle nearly hit the max. The old man working there asked if I practiced bioenergy because he said I clearly have massive potential. When I mentioned my issue with the static and how much I wanted to stop it, he told me all I had to do was run my wrists under a stream of water once a day. He claims it helps bleed off the excess energy from your system. I do it sometimes, but not every single day. I’ve got anti-static rugs at home, but I still manage to blow out at least one light bulb every week whenever I flip a switch. 🙄
I've got one and I love it. The main reason I bought it was because you don't actually sit on it. I didn't want to walk away feeling like I'd bought a pig in a poke, so I tested it out right there in the store, even though the sales clerk gave me a bit of a weird look. 😁
I picked it up about a year ago at Dick's Sporting Goods, over by the corner of Broadway and Main. I think it cost me about $100, but since I put it on my company card, it ended up being roughly $317
I only took one sedative in my entire life, back when I was still in college I slept for twelve hours straight and almost missed my biggest final exam 🙄
Whenever things get totally overwhelming, I just try to visualize something happy 👍
Let me circle back to the topic of perspectives for a second.
I think we just have to power through this transition period. Honestly, I’ve felt like we were in limbo for ages, but that’s just how things work around here. If everything suddenly went perfect, I think I'd actually have a heart attack. 😁
I took a little trip out to the Hudson Valley this past Saturday and ended up touring a historic estate near the end of the day. Even with the winter chill, the fog, and the rain, it was a great time. I even overheard some tourists saying we're basically a mini Switzerland—we just need to polish things up for more visitors. You can already see the shift happening: local wine trails, new signage, manicured yards, and rural tourism are finally picking up steam. Plus, there are tons of small family businesses in that area doing really well, some even exporting their goods.
Yeah, I think if we all just put in a little effort and stop expecting miracles overnight, we'll get there.
I find it interesting how our expats think about moving back home. Honestly, I don't see why anyone should worry; people always find their way back to their roots eventually.
I met a couple from Sweden today who had zero connection to our country, but they fell in love with the lifestyle here. They bought a house and ended up applying for citizenship. Their son is studying over at Oxford, and since they both work remotely, they can do everything from home. They told me they love how laid-back and social things are here, while we all sit around thinking life moves too fast.🙄
Deciding whether a sole proprietorship or an LLC is more profitable isn't exactly a simple answer. If you're running a small business in a city with high local income taxes, it’s definitely going to cost you more. On top of that, sole proprietors face higher payroll tax burdens, and they can only write off expenses that have actually been paid out.
