Dealing with IBD: Any advice? in Health ·
It’s definitely not salmonella...
What you’re dealing with here is basically just "dirty hands disease."
To put it bluntly, while you were munching on those eggs, you probably picked up some random bacteria or an amoeba—stuff that’s floating around in the air and environment all the time anyway, but the heat probably turned those eggs into a little petri dish for them to multiply. Once that stuff hit your stomach or guts, it irritated everything, and your body just decided to kick it all out ASAP...
You’ll be fine in a few days, it’ll pass on its own. Just stick to light, easy-to-digest stuff that's cooked through properly... like rice, maybe. Stick to mild teas without a ton of sugar, some honey, or some plain toast...

Oh, sure...

No, seriously, I was just reading this article about how other countries handle it—they call the donor back after six months to run tests, and if everything comes back clean, then they finally release the blood donated half a year ago.

Look, we’re talking about a country where, right after a major pile-up on the highway, we’re listening to radio pleas for blood donations because the local hospital is basically running on empty...

And you honestly think we can just sit around waiting six months?

Unfortunately,
but you have to expect these kinds of disasters to happen, and you just have to accept them as an unavoidable risk.
Daily water intake: Let's discuss in Health ·
So, this guy basically chugged like 15 liters of water in one sitting. Just absolutely downed it.

He actually drank 15 liters...
Seriously, go grab a five-gallon Home Depot bucket and look at it. Just visualize that volume.
Where on earth would that even fit?

Hey, if you haven't grabbed a bite yet...

Go back and read the old threads, we’ve already been over this whole thing...
And honestly? An 8.5-year-old kid is way too young for that kind of stuff..

Look, just take the unpaid leave... you've got a year max before things get weird.

Given how things are actually playing out right now, there’s just no way someone like that is showing up out of nowhere. It’s gotta be someone from inside your own circle.
You got a brother or something?

Don't be so damn sure about that.
It’s way more likely that was just your old man...

Oh, give me a break...
Where the hell are you even gonna find Vaseline on short notice?
Or is that just a permanent staple in your bedside drawer?

I gotta be honest, anal sex was that intense thing that actually caused muscle fiber tears!

So you're telling me your ass is actually hurting?

Man, that's an easy fix...
next time just use some Vaseline..

Arthur Barnes,
so, is this actually gonna mess anything up for the dog?
maybe we should give him a quick grooming session or something?

Look, there’s no point in haggling over pennies here..
You just ask the guy straight up what the damage is and then you decide if you're in or out..
It’s pretty simple: either you pay the man or you walk away..

And what, you actually thinking about going under the knife?
I don't see any real upside here either,
unless you count it being some kind of medical freak show...

Come on, let's hear some stories about those doctor monsters...
Maybe..

But look, I'm just talking—well, typing—about what I actually saw..
If the Latin script is lying, then I guess I am too.
Seriously.
That part really jumped out at me..

Because this woman basically said something like this:
"And why did they take his reproductive organs too? What purpose was that supposed to serve?
Why won't any of these doctors give me a straight answer?"

And honestly, it caught me off guard.
What's weird is how the English-language media didn't even touch on the gravity of the situation (those doctors who were right there..) instead, they just treated it like she was some lady venting her feelings.. she tells her story and everyone just moves on like nothing happened..
There's also one detail that sticks out..
She mentioned that the heart and lung recipient died in a car accident (the only fatality in the bus crash!?)
- which kind of makes you think—maybe there actually is some divine justice at play here...
When someone gets rushed into the ICU in bad shape, I don't know how messed up they actually are, but without parental consent or some close relative signing off, nothing is being harvested from a victim of an accident.

That’s just not true.

A few years back, there was this segment on Latinica—you know, that investigative show—dealing with organ transplants...
They interviewed this woman from a major hospital in the US who claimed that without her permission, doctors stripped her 20-year-old son (who’d been in a horrific car wreck) of his organs—heart, lungs, kidneys, lenses... heck, even his reproductive organs!?
She wasn't given any medical records or anything to prove what happened... and ever since, she’s been fighting the hospital in court for years, but so far, she hasn't won a thing..

It looks like that specific case was a massive turning point—it seems like that’s when doctors started actually bothering relatives for permission before jumping in..

Organ transplantation from deceased donors is such a heavy ethical minefield, and it’s wild how nobody has brought this up until now..

We go out of our way to respect the dead, we hold funerals, we build monuments..
But then, on the flip side, we treat them like a convenient warehouse for spare parts..
So, I’m just gonna chime in here and point out how there’s no such thing as an "anti-donor card"—you know, for people who flat-out refuse to donate their organs..
Like, if they existed, doctors would know instantly that we aren't dealing with a donor..

But the law doesn't account for that. Instead, you're supposed to write some formal statement or whatever and carry it around with you constantly like it's some kind of holy relic..
It's pretty obvious the law is totally unfair and completely ignores medical reality...
Because let's be real: once someone passes away, they aren't exactly "owning" their body parts anymore; those parts become subject to whatever the doctors decide is best at the time..

It would actually be fair if the law stated clearly—that no body parts can be taken without explicit permission from the individual (and something like a donor card would count as that permission)
Basically, if a person doesn't have a donor card, they shouldn't be allowed to touch them..
