First off, why not just reach out to Medikol directly? Tell them you aren't happy with how they read the results and see what kind of solution they actually propose.

I'm looking for a neurologist in Washington, D.C.—private practice is fine too.
Has anyone here dealt with Dr. Zeljko grbavac?

Yes. He reviewed my results and told me I’d done everything required and that everything looked fine according to him. He suggested Mizar for periods of extreme tension and recommended psychotherapy. All things considered, he wasn't particularly helpful, though we did have a relatively pleasant conversation.
That’s likely due to the strike right now; otherwise, it would be valid for 30 days..
Could you just ask someone to pick it up and mail it to you?
It’s possible, though you might find yourself waiting quite a while for an open slot...
So that's the 😍
I can’t quite recall her name 😢 but she was a younger woman. I actually followed up with her via email after they sent over my results, and she got back to me incredibly fast. So, it’s entirely possible it's the same person..

And why not? I had my full gynecological exam at Sun Insurance and was actually quite satisfied. The doctor was gentle and took the time to explain everything—she even drew me diagrams. I don't think there's any room for such sweeping generalizations here.🤷

On the flip side, I went to Medikol for an eye exam, paid $100, and honestly, I felt like I was out the door before I even walked in. Every single question I asked felt met with short, superficial answers, clearly designed just to get me out of their sight as quickly as possible.

I was going to suggest Ries, but if you're avoiding the Neighborhood, I'm out of ideas...
If there's a date, you get a month. If not... you get nothing. 🙂

You can still see Dr. Michael Ries privately during the strike if you want to book those hospital scans, though why bother when the wait times are already this bad?
I can't speak to what the law says, but my doctor had zero issues re-prescribing a medication I originally got through a private clinic. She even did it without requiring a follow-up appointment, so it seems to come down to whether you're dealing with one doctor or another... or is it 😁
In Shalat, you’ve got the strongest magnet there is.
Drew Doyle said:So, according to the laws passed back in 2003—or maybe 2004—referrals for specialist visits (including surgeons) technically don't expire, provided you actually scheduled the appointment within 30 days of getting the referral. I'm not entirely sure if they've messed with those regulations since then.

I don't recall that ever being an issue. As I remember it, you could just bring the referral in to have the dates updated if it had "expired" by the time your appointment rolled around.
They'll probably transfer you sometime in the near future. Just head over there and ask them directly.
People are constantly asking where they can get their thyroid hormone levels checked without jumping through all the hoops of scheduling an appointment beforehand. So, here’s the lowdown:

Does anyone have a recommendation for a private psychiatrist in Washington, D.C.?
As far back as I can remember, a few years ago at Mayo Clinic, there were about $40.

I think privacy is the key issue here. I went to Johns Hopkins Hospital myself. My Electroencephalogram isn't perfectly normal—it shows some slight changes—whereas my results have always been spotless in the past. By pure coincidence, I had a scan from a year ago to compare. Even so, he insists the Electroencephalogram is FINE and says the shift isn't a cause for concern. As for symptoms? Honestly, aren't we getting off-topic? I’d rather not end up with another strike on my record. 🙂

After bouncing around between different doctors, I finally landed on him through a recommendation, and I couldn't be happier. He’s a genuinely pleasant guy and an exceptional physician who clearly understands how other medical specialties intersect with his own. You can ask him anything, and he’ll give you a clear, thorough explanation. If he thinks you need to see another specialist, he won't hesitate to send you there. He is incredibly meticulous. I truly hope you have a good experience, because he’s been a lifesaver for me :-) Good luck!

I wouldn't recommend him based on his bedside manner—he's incredibly arrogant. You practically have to pull answers out of him, and the wait times are ridiculous. In the end, he didn't help me at all... apparently, because my EEG came back normal. Perhaps he's so used to dealing with extreme cases that he finds slightly abnormal EEGs unworthy of his time or effort..
