A quick word on bread—it’s got protein, carbs, energy, and B vitamins. You’re also getting minerals in the mix—iron and calcium—plus proteins and plenty of fiber.

Whole grain varieties—like a good toasted slice—pack a little Vitamin E too, and there's even some copper in there, which is great for skin elasticity and all that.

Of course, that bland, tasteless, scentless sponge you find at a typical supermarket can't claim most of those benefits.

For instance, how much zinc actually makes it into the bread depends heavily on the milling process—which is why organic food producers obsess over processing just as much as they do the farming itself.

hmm... I don't think my previous post actually went through?

I mean, I never said Dr Radman was an idiot—nor did I say anything about white bread (though I definitely know why I stay away from it myself).😉 😁

soy is garbage

Actually, soy is incredibly healthy—it’s just one of those crops, along with corn, that ends up being heavily modified by companies like Monsanto.

Look, I know plenty of scientists here in the States, but let's be real: half of them are basically just highly paid puppets—brilliant minds working for the wrong people.

I was actually reading this "independent" study yesterday—just happened to be left out on my desk—and I could tell immediately which massive corporation was footing the bill for it.👎

If what you're saying is true—then why didn't they ask for a refund? I paid a small fortune for this, and when you drop that kind of cash, you expect some kind of guarantee.

At the very least, they should be removing those new stray hairs for free.

Is it actually possible that every single woman at the salon I visited had just as bad luck?

I was actually thinking about those electric tweezers—you know, the ones that supposedly use a tiny current. I actually tried that treatment for the first time at a local spa recently.

They use these specialized devices for it.

But honestly? It was a total bust. Not a single hair even budged 🙄

The whole idea was to grab the hair right at the root with the tweezer, hold it for a few seconds, and let the electricity just... pop it off. Yeah, right.😁

I checked out the link you sent, and they claim it’s painless. But if you ask someone at a salon, they'll tell you the truth—it stings a bit, your skin stays red for a while, and it really only works if you have dark hair.

I remember reading a USA Today interview where Dr Radman was insisting—and when he makes a claim, people actually listen—that Monsanto food is basically the gold standard. He’d recommend it to anyone. To top it off, he brushed off any safety concerns, claiming there’s zero proof of harm after thirty years of tracking its impact on human health.

Well, were you really expecting anything else?

Propaganda is a hell of a weapon—it works best on folks who are just waiting for someone to come along and tell them what to think.

If an elderly woman needs calcium because her bones are practically crumbling, she isn't exactly going to eat a whole bag of junk food to fix it.

I was taught that once osteoporosis really takes hold, you can pour all the calcium you want into your system—it won't do a thing.

The body builds up those reserves before menopause; after that, it just starts draining them.

Take people living in massive cities, for example—they have zero clue what kind of stuff is actually being sold at their local farmers' markets.

Hmm... what about organic grocery stores?

It’s tough! She needs something to help flush out all those toxins—we're talking thirty pounds of them. So, she'll need some special "detox" product for that.

Right—and that "special product" is called exercise and a decent diet.

It's pretty much like when I stopped believing in Santa Claus—I also stopped buying into these "miracle" supplements.

You can find great food, fruit, and veggies at any local roadside stand; those folks definitely aren't growing Monsanto crops.

A lot of those vendors don't even grow what they sell—they grab it from wholesalers over at the Green Party market, though they'd never tell you that.

😲 👍 Looks like they finally dropped their prices. I just have to mention the needle treatment—it’s worth it.

The tweezer method isn't the same thing—doesn't really get the job done. Don't ask me how I know.

Basically, you really need to hit the root with the current.

Anyway, if that's the case, let me know which salon you end up going to (once you try it out). I'm planning to head there this summer to get my bikini area sorted.😁

Oh, let me give you a little encouragement here 🙂it’s honestly such a liberating feeling!

There’s nothing quite like deciding to hit the pool after work and realizing you don't have to stress about grooming—it’s a massive win for your schedule and your wallet (if I’d kept paying for those pricey waxing appointments at the local salon, I would’ve already spent way more than the cost of this device)

You can just spontaneously decide to throw on a sundress and go, because you’re ready to go 365 days a year.🙂

So, once they're gone, they stay gone for good?

I already gave you my take on this, 😉

But seriously—just approach this with a healthy dose of skepticism. Any legit medspa in the States will tell you they offer some kind of ten-year guarantee or something along those lines.

The only time I’ve ever heard of hair actually growing back was in cases involving hormonal imbalances—so it wasn't even the same hair, just new growth caused by a medical issue.

As for what it costs, honestly, just call a local clinic directly to check current rates—these prices are from three years ago.😉

Yeah, they usually quote everything by the minute.

Honestly, nobody online can give you a real answer without seeing it. You’ve got to check hair thickness—if you’ve been shaving, you might see some regrowth on the same follicle 😉—and just how much coverage there is.

The thing is, some hairs don't budge after one session, and since others are still in a "growth phase," you'll probably need another round in about 4 to 6 weeks.

I ended up spending a fair amount on this, but I didn't get it done here in the States, so my personal price list won't be much help to you.

If I recall correctly, the rate in America was around $3.25 per minute.

For legs, you're looking at at least an hour per session—though that depends entirely on how fast your technician is (some people are lightning quick, while others will obsessively hunt for a single root until you're exhausted 🙄).

Once they hit a follicle with the needle, they have to hold it there for a second before moving on to the next one.

I went with electrolysis. It’s permanent.

Basically, once a hair is gone, it’s gone for good. Though—and this is a big though—a new one can occasionally pop up 😉

But honestly, that rarely happens unless there's some weird hormonal shift going on.

Laser wouldn't have worked for me anyway since my hair isn't dark enough for it to be effective.

The needle part hurts, though. Definitely not for anyone with a low pain tolerance.

But man, the results feel amazing. 🙂 I've had smooth legs for about two years now—not counting the months I skipped, obviously. 🙂
Everyone’s got their own baggage—usually feeling like theirs is the heaviest in the room. But honestly, do we really need to pop Xanax every single time life gets a little bumpy?

Take marriage troubles, for instance. You don't exactly fix a broken relationship at a psychiatrist's office, though—even if those issues can absolutely wreck you if you let them.

Daily stress isn't a clinical diagnosis. If psychiatrists had to treat every person who loses their mind just because their phone rings five times in ten minutes, they'd be out of a job by noon.

Exactly.

There's no pill for life.

Preach. Some people get that right away—others never will.

Maria Kelly6, hey, you interested in learning how to quote stuff? I've already picked up a few tricks—want to give it a shot together? 🙂

Basically, you just copy the text you want to quote (handy if you don't want to drag the whole post along), hit "reply," and then paste that text under the "quote" icon right above the typing box.

It makes everything way easier to read.

As for what you said earlier—look, I’m a huge foodie myself, but if food becomes the *entire* purpose of living (regardless of whether someone is overweight or not), then the value system is pretty much broken—something fundamental is missing there. 😉

Well, now 😁

I guess a person needs something to live for. 😉

I’m being intentional about cutting out sweets—not talking about actual candy, though 😉

I was still getting sugar, obviously—from juice, fruit, and stuff like that.

Brian Hayes26 said:Pick up an Elliptical—it’s a killer tool for home cardio and burning fat. Just a heads-up, you can't spot-reduce belly fat with sit-ups; those just build the muscle underneath.
If you aren't looking to drop cash on equipment, just head outside and run. The most effective way to torch fat is hitting your aerobic workout first thing in the morning on an empty stomach—since your body isn't sitting on carbohydrate reserves, it gets straight to the fat-burning process.

As for the sugar cravings, I was speaking from experience. Once you cut it out, your insulin levels stabilize, and after a little while, that intense sugar itch just disappears.

Well, look, I actually made a bet once (my friends were certain I couldn't last a few hours without sweets) and I managed to go a full month without a single gram of sugar. 😎

Mind you, during that time I had a part-time gig selling candy, chocolates, and donuts—I could have easily grabbed a free snack for lunch every single day. 😉

But after those thirty days were up? My craving for sugar hit the roof. I remember literally watching the clock, and the second that final second ticked by, I bolted to the store for a chocolate bar... so much for your theory. I guess, unfortunately, it doesn't work for everyone.

placidjackal97: Is it sour? I really don't like anything sour.

Nah, it isn't. I mean, local farm-fresh cow's milk is one thing, but this stuff you find in the grocery store—like Quark, for instance—isn't actually sour. If you don't add a little salt, it’s honestly pretty bland.

Since I'm living in Germany, I could suggest maybe five or six non-sour brands, but I wouldn't know what's available back in the States.

I consider myself quite the foodie; I don't eat just to fill up, I eat for the pure pleasure of it.

I get that, I'm definitely 😉
.
The way you describe eating nothing but a sandwich from sunrise until now—honestly, I’d have collapsed already. I eat pretty frequently, though I don't overdo it—at least not during my snacks.

People seem to think I'm constantly 😳 but that’s just how I keep my system steady—prevents the dizzy spells and those sudden energy crashes.

Lunch is always amazing and I feel like I need to eat a ton, but I know it’ll just sit there because when your body hasn't had food for a while, it starts hoarding everything...

You've certainly done your homework on the theory side of things 😉 👍
.
By the way, I used to follow the Zone diet—Life in Zone, you've probably heard of it—and it actually works for me. I'm not the most disciplined person, but eating in blocks like that keeps me on track.

As for fluids, I'm drinking all the time—before, during, and after meals. It's much easier to manage when I "push through" a bit 😉 😁

Why do you think—and I’m hoping this comes from experience—that my sugar addiction will eventually just fade away?

Some people are going to love sweets their entire lives. Me, for instance. And honestly, it isn't even that big of a deal if everything else stays on track—exercise, healthy eating, all that stuff.

Hey, Kenneth Hernandez67, thanks for the advice about veggies, but I actually can't stand salad dressings—especially anything with tomato or pepper. I can't do sour stuff, so a meal consisting of raw vegetables (if that's what you meant) is basically unthinkable for me.

You don't like sour things? Well, I never even pickle tomatoes when I eat them plain—just a tiny bit of salt. Same goes for cucumbers.

Being hungry is a mistake. That's when you lose your mind and raid half the fridge. You don't need to be hungry. Instead of trying to feel full on cake, try filling up on fish or a salad instead.

But after only three weeks, I was already craving those burgers my dad brought home for dinner, and it felt like everything just went out the window.

So? If you’re too hard on yourself, you’re way more likely to slip up. If you allow yourself little "sins," you won't end up obsessing over everything and bingeing.

Why didn't you just skip the burgers and get right back to your routine the next morning?

Eating a little bit of fresh cheese (like quark)—maybe with some chopped herbs thrown in—isn't a bad choice for dinner (assuming veggies aren't your thing). In fact, that's exactly what I'm having right now.🙂
