It feels kind of like House of Nine to me, though I'm really hoping the execution is actually decent this time, because the concept itself—the actual script—is pretty interesting, I guess.

What’s actually going on in the sequel:

A detective (Wahlberg) is looking into a murder case that looks suspiciously like something Jigsaw would do. Meanwhile, you've got 8 people trapped in a single room.

So, apparently, those 8 people get these cards with instructions on how to kill one of the others in the room (using the most gruesome methods possible, obviously). It's like some sort of bloody Big Brother. And yeah, Amanda from the first movie is among those 8 people.
