Food and drink prices were actually pretty reasonable for someone coming from a high-cost area like NYC🤷 🤣
But nobody’s talking about the shuttle situation near Santa Monica Pier, which was a total mess. There was only one bus running when there should’ve been at least three or four, and if you weren't at the first stop, you didn't stand a chance—it was already packed to the gills by then.
And honestly, the headache wasn't just the line for wristbands; it was also the whole process of picking up tickets that were already bought. They had two windows open with maybe six people working total, and I spent an hour just standing there... I think I actually sobered up waiting. Everyone was on edge, losing their minds, swearing, and the staff seemed totally disconnected... I don't know if that was part of the design, but I didn't even get a physical ticket, they just gave me a wristband right away. I guess they realized that was four times faster.
Once inside, there were zero signs telling you where the stages were or anything helpful like that. We basically had to hunt down the schedule from the press center because nobody at the entrance bothered to tell us a thing.
Still, I guess I have a weird thing for chaotic festival vibes.
Kubica is twice as good as Rosberg, factor of 2.00
Hamilton’s odds are at 3.70
The Brits think they'll take the win at 1.55😠😢😕
Absolute joke!!!
Instead of actually making some $167, I ended up covering my tracks and still finished 'only' $23 in the red. 😠
Tomorrow’s gonna be interesting.
Honestly, we could easily be looking at a McLaren 1-2. They looked seriously sharp in Turkey, they've got the best engine on the grid, that F-duct is top-tier, and if you look back at how things played out at Monza last year—which was basically the only low-downforce track on the calendar—it’s pretty clear. I guess this whole opening stretch is just setting the stage for what's coming next:
For LH, qualifying PP is 3.30 and the race is 3.70
As for JB, both the PP and the race are sitting at a high coefficient in the 7s😉. I was checking the lines over at Supersports earlier.
Which absolute moron manages to pull out right between Button and Vettel after just two laps?🤣
Brawn expected to take first, while Toyota was just looking to pull off a heist...
And one last thing: man, I am absolutely losing it over those Honda big shots in Tokyo—what a mess, especially since they're all lumped in with Fry, naturally. 😠
Anyway, there are definitely uglier ones out there 😁
