Alright, I managed to hit 2.2MHz. I adjusted the memory settings to 600MHz, which effectively sets the HTT to 3x. I also dropped the memory down to 166MHz and bumped the clock up to 245... CPU temp is sitting at 55.

Booting isn't actually the issue, so don't worry about that. For example, I just bumped the voltage to 1.45 V, but it still won't go above 9x235. I really need those other settings. Why don't you just test them for me? My BIOS doesn't show that specific HTT multiplier, but there is a memory setting where if I set it to 200/400/600/800/1000MHz, it corresponds to the HTT in that AMD software. For instance, if I set it to 1000Hz in the BIOS, the AMD program shows 1175Hz (not sure why it isn't 1000?), and that HT multiplier (it actually says HT instead of HTT) jumps up to 5x.

Actually, it isn't the battery. As I mentioned, the PC freezes when it's "overclocked" too much. Since hitting the reset button doesn't work, my only way to reboot is to pull the power cord since I don't have an on/off switch on this unit.
My PC keeps freezing and crashing, eventually hitting a black screen where it won't even boot. I have to physically unplug the power cable, wait about ten seconds, and then plug it back in just to get it running again—only to find everything reset to a default 1.8MHz. The point is, I can't just crank up the HT ref. clock anymore; I need to stabilize the other settings too, though I'm still trying to figure out exactly which ones to adjust and by how much.
Alright, I need some help here... these overclocking instructions are practically impossible. I'm running an Athlon 64 3000+ Venice on this "new" ASRock 939A790GMH motherboard. The CPU's default speed is 1800MHz, but I managed to push it to 2100MHz by bumping the HT ref from 200 to 233 in the AMD Overdrive software. I see others using the stock cooler to hit 2.4GHz or even higher. I can't go any further, so I clearly need different settings, but I have no idea what they should be. Here are my current settings; if anyone has any ideas on how to proceed, I would be very grateful...
cpu core multiplier 9x ht multiplier 1x HT ref 233mhz pci speed 100mhz memory freq. 190mhz core V 1.4
...So, I just tested a few drivers using Compatibility mode. One was partially successful; from what I can tell, everything installed correctly except for the Ethernet driver. It still isn't detecting the LAN card, which is built directly into the motherboard...
It is a bit disheartening to read what Wikipedia says here.
Nvidia offers chipset driver downloads for nForce4 for Windows versions up to and including Vista in The " Legacy product type category on their download page.[9] However, there is no official support for Windows 7.
I am somewhat uncertain. I recall reading that others encountered this exact issue and found that using Vista drivers was a workaround, though that clearly isn't working for me.😠
Frank Jackson46 said:Either way, Windows 7 includes a solid feature within Windows Update that performs surprisingly well. When you run an update, be sure to check the hardware section; you can likely select all the necessary drivers there for installation.
I am unable to perform an update because my network card isn't being recognized, which prevents me from connecting to the internet.
I have installed Windows 7 on my Epox NPA9+ motherboard which came with the Nforce drivers. However, after running the installation, it feels like nothing actually happened; Windows 7 isn't recognizing my LAN card, my audio, or even half of my other hardware. I have attempted to install more recent driver versions, but so far, I haven't had any luck. If anyone happens to have a suggestion on how to fix this or knows which specific driver version might work, please let me know. Thank you.
Please, help me out here. Could you list some American films from the last 15 years that aren't war stories, don't feature completely misplaced profanity from amateurish actors, and avoid those one-dimensional performances by people like Tom Hanks. I honestly don't know who else can sit through those "who even wrote this trash" disasters.
What are your thoughts on this one? From what I gather, it’s a William Shakespeare adaptation. I plan to see it for a few specific reasons: 1. It isn't some damn war movie, 2. There won't be any senseless swearing, 3. No obnoxious political pundits, 4. The score is by John Williams. 🙏 5. I want to see how they blew 6 million dollars on this.
Simply the best; Ennio Morricone - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 🙏 🙏 🙏 I am quite fond of his entire discography, such as A Fistful of Dollars or Once Upon a Time in America. It is absolutely essential listening! 😬
On a side note, one of my most memorable soundtracks comes from a lesser-known documentary about the development of the atomic bomb titled Trinity and Beyond. The composer is William Stromberg, and you can find clips here http://www.vce.com/music.html
