What is this? Help! in Health ·
So, I deal with migraines from time to time, but right now I’m in a bit of a weird spot—it's been two days where everything feels way too loud and the light is just incredibly piercing. My skin even feels hypersensitive to the touch, yet, strangely enough, I don't actually have a headache. It’s like I’m checking off every single migraine symptom on the list, minus the actual head pain itself. Does anyone know what this could be? It's been going on for forty-eight hours straight.😲I honestly feel like I’m losing my mind here.

I mean, I’m starting to think you might be right... Like, if I were looking at 2011 rates, sure, maybe that would make sense, but I paid everything off upfront. I don't even use this card for anything else—just the occasional trip every six months or so. I’ve had it for five years now and I have never run into an issue like this before. Chase says everything looks fine on their end, but I’m still totally lost. Honestly, I think I'll just stop using it altogether. By the way, what about the Go card—is that a better option? Is it also a revolving credit line?
Thanks everyone!

I know I haven’t laid out all the details just yet. :-) This is a total classic. I’ve been keeping an eye on my online banking and noticed the change was already made, though the official statement won't arrive for a few days. The teller at the branch mentioned something about a principal balance that needs to be settled—apparently because I have a loan repayment running through 2011? Honestly, I’m completely lost. What kind of loan would amount to $317? I mean, I’ve always handled my purchases this way, but I’ve never seen a principal balance jump to such a massive figure before. And they're claiming the total is up to $15? It can't be a membership fee, since all my cards are supposedly free through my New York Chase Mastercard account.
It just stated "principal due by 04/21/2011." Is that actually supposed to make sense? Does anyone really buy that?
Thanks!

Hey everyone!

So, I paid for a hotel back in March $327. My payment was due on March 28th, and I made sure to settle it right on time $167. Based on my math, I should still have about $480 left to pay this month. But when I log into my online banking, it’s showing me $260 an outstanding balance????$160 plus some weird principal amount of $100? I haven't bought anything else on the card—honestly, I haven't even used it at all. Does anyone know what's going on? Nothing else has been charged or cleared except for that hotel stay, which now looks like I actually paid $433? When I called the bank, they just told me everything looks totally normal. How is that "normal"—charging that much interest in less than a month? Could someone please help me make sense of this?
Thanks
Well, just like the name implies, they sent me in for vestibular testing and—get this—I actually passed out during the first round. Then it happened again on the second attempt... By the third try, I managed to hang on for about a minute before I just had to bolt from the room. I simply can't handle it! My doctor mentioned that there are people out there with similar issues, which is a bit of a relief, I guess? But now I’m left wondering: what comes next? How am I supposed to figure out if something is actually wrong with my Center for Equilibrium? Should I be looking into getting an MRI?
Thanks

Hey everyone;
I have a quick question for the group. I’m in the process of launching a new business that will focus on professional services—think everything from psychological counseling and adult education to language courses and tourism. Since I’ll be working a full-time job myself, my plan is to bring on some specialists to handle the core work through independent contractor agreements. First off, is it legally feasible to hire a foreign national as an independent contractor—for instance, a psychologist? And more importantly, can I operate a business providing these types of intellectual services under a general corporate umbrella, or am I required to establish a specific medical clinic or private practice to offer psychological services? It feels a bit like trying to decide if you can run a boutique consulting firm out of a home office or if you need a dedicated storefront first—there are just so many layers to peel back here!
Thanks much
Dealing with H. pylori? in Health ·
My mom just got diagnosed with H. pylori, so I’m trying to wrap my head around everything related to it—it’s quite a lot to take in! I’ve heard some chatter suggesting that you can never truly get rid of it completely, and I’m curious about what the deal is with alternative treatment routes versus the standard antibiotic protocols... Can this actually turn into something dangerous if it's left unchecked? If anyone has any insights or experiences to share, I would be so incredibly grateful!😉
Hearing test results... in Health ·
So, I’ve decided to play it by the book and head to the doctor to see what they have to say about my actual potential for recovery... I actually managed to snag two referrals from my primary care physician. But honestly, I am just completely stumped as to why I have to go back to square one and stop taking all my medications first. Apparently, I need a scan of my middle ear. Some people even claim that for certain medical tests, you have to be in a state of total physiological stillness—like you need to be perfectly calm and centered—so now I’m truly scratching my head. Why? What could possibly be the connection between my ear, my medication, and whether or not I’ve eaten? I tried asking my sister, but she was just as lost as I am...
Hearing test results... in Health ·
What on earth are they actually doing during an audiology exam when you aren't allowed to take any medication for five days beforehand and have to show up on an empty stomach? I mean—shouldn't they just be checking my hearing? What else could they possibly be doing? Are they going to knock me out or draw blood...? I fail to see how any of that has anything to do with my ears! 😲
Someone please help this clueless soul!!! 😘

I was just mentioning that both doctors and locals were whispering about Mad Cow disease—though apparently, it never officially broke out, much like what happened with that girl from the Democratic party... Whether it truly was Mad Cow, I honestly can't say. I'm just repeating what was being discussed at the time. Plus, her hospital records mysteriously vanished, and now nobody has a clue what actually happened to her. Look, I'm no doctor—I'm just reporting what I saw and heard firsthand. The reality is that whenever you're dealing with CNS diseases, there's always this thick veil of secrecy wrapped around everything. She isn't the first case, nor will she be the last, and sure, stories can definitely get blown out of proportion—but the fact remains that something very strange happened to that girl. All her test results came back perfectly fine, yet she passed away, and no one can explain why. As for what the actual cause was? I really don't know, which is exactly why I'm asking...😳
The reason I’m bringing this up is because a young woman who lived near me—someone who was always such a bright, upbeat person—suddenly just spiraled. She started losing her coordination and basically lost control over her own body. Her Physicians sent her for an MRI and an EEG, but apparently, those came back completely clear. So then they sent her to Psychiatry, followed by the Infectious Disease ward, where she passed away just a few days ago... That’s how I heard the story, anyway. I only knew her by sight, but there was some talk about Mad Cow Disease, and of course, everything was swept under the rug, just like usual. But it makes me wonder—how is it possible that an EEG or an MRI wouldn't show a single thing when she was clearly suffering from something serious?
It’s such a bizarre, unsettling illness.
Our whole neighborhood is feeling pretty shaken up by all this, which is why I'm asking.
Well, you know, I’ve been seeing reports all over our local news stations and in *The Wall Street Journal* suggesting that there might be cases of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease popping up here in the States—and the rumor is that officials are trying to keep it under wraps... That’s really why I decided to bring this up. I'm curious about what the actual symptoms look like, what kind of diagnostic tests are used, and all that good stuff. From what I’ve gathered, it sounds like an absolute nightmare to actually diagnose correctly...
So, there’s been quite a bit of buzz lately regarding this topic, which has me wondering—is it actually true that this disease is present here in the States? And if so, what are the typical early warning signs to look out for? I'm also curious about what kind of diagnostic imaging or scans can help confirm a diagnosis or rule out any suspicions... just looking for some general insight on the whole thing.
So, I deal with insomnia myself—I actually went through a stretch once where I didn't sleep for five days straight, only to end up getting about an hour of shut-eye the following day. It’s technically possible to push through, but man, it is brutal—especially when you aren't sleeping because your brain just won't shut off, rather than being kept up by some hectic work schedule or anything. That was quite a while ago, though; I'm definitely too old to be running those kinds of experiments on my body now! I guess my insomnia decided to stage a little rebellion against me one time or another... :-))))
Tried it out yesterday. It worked like a charm!😬
Thanks so much!

She’s heading in to get some spinal imaging done. Does that mean they’ll be able to see everything clearly on the X-ray?

So, she actually bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress—got it from an Academy Sports store—and right after that, she started dealing with these weird dizzy spells. She ended up tossing it out and just went back to a basic wool mattress, which has been much better for her... It sounds a bit strange, I know, but it's the truth!
Thanks so much, everyone!🙂
Well, I guess I’m a bit of a psychological case study myself...🙂 And honestly, even watching NBC hasn't helped much.😬
But in all seriousness—the only actual physical issue I’m dealing with right now is some nagging tension in my cervical spine. Could that really be enough to trigger insomnia, or am I just overthinking things? Does anyone know of any specific exercises or maybe some lifestyle tweaks to help with sleep without having to jump straight to medication?

She saw a neurologist during her ninth month, but they’re leaning toward it being a spinal issue. Does anyone know which specific tests are needed to confirm that kind of diagnosis? And what does the treatment plan usually look like? It's just—well, they keep telling her it's her spine, but I have my doubts since her spinal scans seem relatively fine...

I was just looking back through your previous posts, and I wanted to clarify one thing—my friend doesn't deal with constant vertigo; it's more sporadic than that. It only happens maybe once a month...
I haven't been around the forum for quite a while—it feels like forever! Thanks so much for getting back to me. I actually managed to get things under control using some homeopathic remedies, though if I'm being honest, my sleep quality hasn't exactly been top-tier lately...

Thanks again!

So, I have a quick question on behalf of a friend of mine—and just to be clear, she isn't pregnant or dealing with anything like that.🙂 She’s been experiencing these intense bouts of dizziness that can last anywhere from four to five hours at a time; then, nothing happens for days, and suddenly, another episode hits out of nowhere. She does deal with some minor spinal issues—specifically a slipped disc and some scoliosis—but nothing too severe, really. Also, she noticed that after a long car ride, she sometimes gets hit with vertigo and this general sense of weakness.
Thanks, everyone!
