Is it actually true that if you run things as a sole proprietorship and open a bakery to sell sweets, you’re legally required to have a certified pastry chef on staff? But then, if you register it as a formal corporation instead, anyone can bake whatever they want regardless of their credentials?
I don't have any supplemental insurance, just my basic Medicare how much am I looking at for a routine doctor's visit or a standard blood panel?
Also, I remember hearing about one hospital where you could just walk in for thyroid blood work without an appointment, but I can't for the life of me remember which one it was... please help!
There’s one specific detail in the Swedish film that really rubs me the wrong way—the fact that Lisbeth reached out to Michael first. That just isn't how it goes in the books, and honestly, seeing her act like that feels totally out of character for her...
amberseal22 said:Aha, okay, thanks for clearing that up! Just curious, though—how much extra did that end up costing you for the trip out to California?
To be honest... I have no clue. We're heading over to their place next week to settle the bill... 🤷
Jessica Vaughn said:Can someone please tell me once and for all... are those ribbons wrapped around the cake layers actually satin, or is it some kind of edible material?
Mine were satin... we couldn't even cut through them 😠 but whatever, nobody noticed 😍
amberseal22 said:Wait, was your wedding actually held out in California? Or maybe I've just misremembered things because, looking at the photos, that's how it comes across to me 🤷, and was the cake from NYC? I'm asking because I've been thinking about having a cake flown in from NYC all the way to Ohio for myself, so I figured I'd check in and see what the consensus is on their quality.
Yeah, the wedding was held in California, but we used a catering service from Chicago (Ferrero). They partner with a specific bakery for their desserts, so they just had the cake delivered along with the rest of the food... 😉
Our cake was made by that bakery, Charlotte, over on Main Street—it was a chocolate and vanilla mousse, and honestly, it was incredible. Everyone couldn't stop raving about it. The outside was covered in fondant, which I personally find a bit too sweet, but hey, anything beats plain Marzipan... 😁
Željkić, you can find those mousses in just about any bakery these days, so why not swing by one this afternoon and treat yourself? 😍
Larry Hall 🤷 I think parfaits are making a big comeback right now, though Black Forest is still a classic. You could even try some fruit-based ones... if you're making a multi-layered dessert, you can really play around with different flavors.
Actually, I was also going to ask—what exactly is a ticino? 🤷
I was hanging out at kika the other day and spotted one of those stools... I’m honestly not even sure what to call them. There’s no backrest, and you basically kneel on it—you rest your knees and sit right back on your butt. Apparently, it’s this big new trend meant to take the pressure off your lower back and stop you from slouching, though if you ask me, I think it’ll just wreck my spine anyway. It looks pretty cool, though I initially thought it would be awkward to sit on, but it actually isn't. I didn't pull the trigger just yet since it's about $267, but I'm seriously considering picking it up as a little Christmas gift to myself... 😁
So, you really think that because you turned seventeen, you’ve already seen everything the world has to offer and there's nothing left to try besides getting high??!??!!?
I honestly can't decide if you're just losing it or if you're just young...
Honestly, I don't give a damn what my coworkers think, but here’s the reality: if I brought that kind of thing into the office, I’d probably get hauled into a meeting with the board of directors. They'd tell me it doesn't fit the "professional image" of the company—which, to be fair, it doesn't. There's no way they'd let me keep a ball or a gaming chair sitting in my workspace... 😬
I’m still a little lost on what you meant regarding the armrests. To be honest, I never actually use them; my arms stay right on the desk. One hand is busy with the mouse while the other handles the keyboard...
