So, I'm back at it again dealing with wedding planning, and this time it's all about the dessert situation. I was wondering if John Doe could weigh in—does anyone have recommendations for some seriously amazing cakes or pastries? Should I look into something from Eva's bakery? Or maybe Jane Doe's? Or even just find a local home baker? Thanks! 🙏 👋 👋

What specifically are you looking for? Are you trying to find where to buy them, how they're made, or something else entirely?

I’m looking for pretty much everything here—wedding cake ideas, where to hunt down the best wedding cookies, personal experiences, whatever. Just lay it on me.

Even though this thread is specifically about weddings, you’d probably have better luck heading over to the Gastronomy subforum. There are tons of people from Washington, D.C. over there who can give you much more specific advice and solid recommendations.

You'll actually find more people on those threads who are already married and can give you honest feedback based on experience, rather than just folks who are getting married in a few months and are still in the planning phase.

So, I didn't actually order any little treats from them.
But I did get a cake, and oh my gosh, I totally agree—it was incredible, just seriously delicious. It was this chocolate parfait style... so light, so refreshing, mmmm!
And honestly, the best part? We showed them a photo of the cake we found online, and they delivered one that looked exactly like it. 🙂

Yeah, I heard you can actually just bring them a photo of the cake you're dreaming of, and they'll whip up something that looks exactly like it.🙂

Honestly, I don't have the specific link I used myself (it was like, what, a year and a half ago? 😍), but if you just jump onto Google and type in "wedding cake" or something similar and hit "images," you'll find a massive mountain of them 🙂
