Immunologist recommendations? in Health ·
Dr. Smith is absolutely top-tier. Honestly, she’s one of those rare doctors who just carries herself with total professionalism—you see "Physician" on her stamp and you know you're in good hands. She doesn't miss a single thing; she'll scrutinize everything from your big toe up to your eyelashes. And don't expect a quick fix, either. She’s going to order a mountain of biochemical tests and screenings, which takes forever because, let's be real, lab turnaround times at places like Quest Diagnostics can be a total nightmare. But here's the kicker: she actually cares. If she can't squeeze you in on a day you already booked, she won't just leave you hanging. She’ll personally reach out to let you know and make sure you get rescheduled immediately. I've been there myself, and in today's healthcare system, finding a doctor with that kind of integrity is like finding a needle in a haystack. I can't recommend her enough.
Best antacids for a sensitive stomach? in Health ·
blueeyes said:Look, I’ve dealt with stomach issues my entire life (I'm 23)
basically just being super sensitive to certain things. There’s specific food I can't even touch
like walnuts, garlic, or fried fish...
but ever since I ended up with Celiac plus gastritis back at the end of January
everything feels ten times more sensitive than before...

So, I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of diet is actually recommended for
these kinds of issues? Like, what foods won't irritate my stomach or might actually help it feel better?

Just a heads up: I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I barely eat meat anyway (don't really care for it)
I mostly stick to carbs, fruit, and veggies.👍

...

Did anyone ask about bad habits? So far, my only vice is that I haven't started stealing anything yet. As for food—I've just been sticking to plain boiled rice and one banana (medium size, about 2.5 oz without the peel). That fixes everything. I've been doing that for a few days now.(🙂 :nom nom).

Marinol tablets, and everything is just five bucks.
Do vaccines actually work? in Health ·
Look, I wouldn't go as far as calling it a full-blown conspiracy, but let’s be real—something is definitely fishy going on here. Take tetanus shots, for example. Kids are supposed to get boosters every five years, yet they’re just handing them out at elementary school during first grade and then again around seventh. It doesn't add up. And don't even get me started on those combo vaccines, like the 5-in-1 shots; parents are actually out there buying those at local pharmacies themselves. It's absolutely wild! There’s plenty more nonsense like this, too... (and keep in mind, these shots aren't some lifelong shield; most of that protection wears off after just a few years. Honestly, the only real way to build true immunity is to just deal with the illness and get through it).
Earplugs in Health ·
Those Swiss foam earplugs are actually decent for blocking out noise, though they can be a bit scratchy if you aren't careful—just make sure you follow the instructions exactly when you're putting them in. You’ve got to compress them as much as possible and really shove them in there. Once they expand inside your ear, you'll sleep like a baby. I don't hear anything anymore, not even some crazy crow in the park or the pets over in
. The downside is you can't wear them forever because they eventually harden up, which is why they start feeling abrasive. You can actually wash them in lukewarm water, but honestly, after three or four times, they're done. They aren't expensive, though—check $1.50. If you want to try those silicone ones, I saw them at the shop on El Paso Street, 4655918; they had them in stock. But from what I know, those are waterproof.
