And what on earth constitutes Ashtanga yoga, Noah Harris50?
But, then again... as far as I can tell, it means a star

Actually, Esther is Jewish... the Bible makes mention of Queen Esther 🙂

Well, since everyone else seems to be posting their recommendations openly, I suppose I shall do the same. 😁

Heh, I remember seeing some "charismatic dentist" on 😁 the other day. He seemed genuinely charming, and everyone was singing his praises 😁
. Does anyone recall his name? Perhaps someone here might know? 😁

I actually know an excellent dentist... she has a practice over in Chicago... I'll dig up the specific details and send them to you via DM (I don't think we should post those kinds of specifics here publicly)

😕 However, I’ve been doing some reading on several reputable medical websites, and they suggest that inheritance can actually come from both sides of the family...

The organization is called Modus.
Here is their website:
And regarding the red blood cell count, once again we are looking at such negligible deviations that it is difficult to pinpoint a specific cause. There are countless reasons why erythrocytes might rise, but when you're just guessing off the cuff based on such a minor difference... hmmmmm... since these are measured per ml, could it perhaps be slight dehydration? (I'll say "slight" for now.) That might result in a slightly elevated reading. I have never really bothered explaining tiny fluctuations before; if they were significant, it would be much easier to address.

Well, thank you 😘
But I don't live at high altitudes 🙂, and my levels were just as slightly elevated when I had my blood drawn six months ago... 🤔

Perhaps it could be that I am a bit dehydrated... then again, I don't drink nearly enough water, and I also feel as though I am breathing shallowly—as if I haven't mastered proper breathing techniques... I wonder if there might be a connection there...
Adam Rogers2 said:Look, everything you mentioned seems fine; those are just minor fluctuations, especially regarding the ESR—so don't let it get to you. It would be a legitimate concern if your ESR was sitting at 80, for instance. 😉.

The last time I had my blood work done, my WBC count dropped to 2 (normal range 4.4–10), and I nearly passed out, but within five days, it bounced right back up to 5. 😁.

What kind of specific explanation are you actually looking for?

🙂

Well, I am curious... I really want to understand how this happens. The last time I had lab work done before this, my RBC, MCV, and MCH were all hovering around the same area... I didn't even realize they were deviating from the reference ranges back then, but this time, seeing those "H" (high) and "L" (low) markers next to the numbers really caught my attention...
Sunglasses in Health ·
My prescription is quite high, and since I’m due for a new pair of glasses, I recently went to see my optometrist. She actually suggested I look into clip-ons rather than standard photochromic lenses. Her reasoning? With my level of correction, photochromic lenses would end up being incredibly thick, which just doesn't look very aesthetic. Her other suggestion was to go straight for prescription sunglasses—though she advised picking out a thicker, plastic frame to better mask the thickness of those lenses...

Does anyone here actually have any hands-on experience with "clip-ons"?

Casey Palmer5 said:The last time I finally sucked it up and went through that awful blood draw process—which I only did because of some bureaucratic paperwork—my sedimentation rate was sitting at 1.5.😁

😁 Well, it looks like you’re actually doing even better than I am. 😉

How on earth does one even begin to explain those numbers? I am genuinely curious. 😁 🙄
So, my ESR came back at 2, while the standard range is typically 3 to 15;
my red blood cell count is sitting at 5.17 (with the normal range being 3.86–5.08), and both my MCV and MCH levels are also tracking slightly below the established reference points...

While I don't consider this an emergency, I am genuinely curious about the underlying mechanics here—what actually causes these specific shifts? 🙂

I'm looking for some insight. 🙂
My sedimentation rate came back lower than usual 😕, 2; plus, my red blood cell count is slightly elevated... is this actually normal? I could really use an explanation
Beta-carotene vs. B-complex: Thoughts? in Health ·
It is widely understood that if one is taking beta carotene, supplementing with B-complex is a wise move. Furthermore, I have read that zinc is also highly beneficial, as it plays a vital role in the absorption process.

Anyway... I currently have some beta carotene tablets on hand, but I am facing a bit of a contradiction. The original manufacturer's label instructs me to take just one tablet, yet the domestic labeling here suggests a dosage of one to two. It leaves me quite perplexed. For context, my specific supplement provides 7,500 IU per dose.

Perhaps you might find some relief using Prokulin drops... I believe they function quite similarly to the height of a drop.

Well then, what exactly constitutes an appropriate dosage for that specific purpose? How many I.U.—international units—are we talking about here? Does anyone actually have the answer?
