Samuel Murphy6 said:Ever since they changed the rules so roundabouts don't have priority, before they started putting yield signs at the entrance:

...

Once you slap those yield signs out there, you basically just shut up both sides—the people who think the roundabout has right-of-way and the ones who actually know better. ☕

🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄

Let's try this again:

You're driving toward a roundabout. You're cruising along. Then you hit this sign right before it:

And that sign tells you: "Intersection with a priority road" (which, in this case, is the roundabout)

Moving on.

Excerpt from the Traffic Safety Act (The Federal Register issue 56/96 - amended text), Article 32:

Paragraph 4.
Any driver entering a road marked by traffic signs as a priority road must yield to all vehicles traveling on that road.

🥳

Samuel Murphy6 said:If none of those signs were actually there, we'd be stuck using the right-hand rule. 🙂

And if she were a guy, her name would be Dustin. Seriously, which roundabout doesn't have signage?

Education? Please. Look, you see a yield sign. That sign basically says: you don't have the right of way, slow down, and let the people already on the road finish their business. If they wanted the opposite, why even bother putting yield signs at every single roundabout?

Hey, did you dodge the "eye roll" emoji on purpose? Maybe I don't know how to drive, but I definitely know my road signs better than you do ☕

Samuel Murphy6 said:Speaking of which, have you noticed those fancy yield signs they've been slapping on every single roundabout entrance over the last couple of years?

Yeah, because a triangle is clearly the universal symbol for "go ahead." 🙂

Michael Newman50 said:I said I'd drive, not that I'm handing over the keys to a car I don't even own...

Well, yeah. That's literally what driving is. 😁

Samuel Murphy6 said:Spot on. 😕

Really? 😈

Isn't the rule that whoever's already in the roundabout has the right of way? Seems like they're doing it backwards if people are coming in from the right. 😛

The absolute most boring sports to watch:
Soccer. An hour and a half of constant sprinting just for two measly goals. What a joke.
Tennis (ugh. ugh. ugh. ugh. meh. ugh. ugh. ugh. ugh. whatever. ugh. ugh. x 10000)
3. racing/auto sports
Table tennis. (Ping. Ping. Ping. Ping. *goes on for eternity*)
5th marathon (this is gonna take forever...)

Best sports to watch:
Track and field comes in all shapes and sizes (besides that marathon everyone's talking about).
Men's swimming, 2nd place. Ugh. 😍
Gymnastics.
4. basketball
5. ice skating session (but solo this time)

I just wanna watch some sports with Laura Gonzalez44. 😍

Adam Moore said:so you gotta have a car! ha! what a materialist!

Not required, just makes life easier. Let me break it down for you. Check this list:😁

The ultimate hall of fame for driving test fails, in order:

1. The examiner told me to buckle up after I already had the engine running.
2. Forgot to adjust the rearview mirror, then realized halfway through the drive that maybe it was better if I didn't touch it.
3. Slammed it from second into first instead of third, floored the gas, and just screamed "oh my god, what did I do"
4. Stalled out right in the middle of the highway.
5. When asked how you handle a roundabout, I just answered "roundabout."
6. When they asked again which rule applies at a roundabout, I blurted out "the right-hand rule."
7. On a narrow two-way street where cars are always parked in one lane, I honked at an old guy walking about 10 cm away from the road.
8. When the old man nearly dropped his grocery bag, I lost it laughing and told him he was hopping around like a rabbit.

If you're smart, you've heard enough. 😬

We tried, didn't work out. I'm not sitting around waiting two days for lunch while he's out chasing some damn Baskerville dogs. And that Watson guy? Man, he was always making excuses—movies, concerts, or just sleeping because he couldn't be bothered to leave his place in Phoenix... 🙄

The #1 sign that a guy actually wants to marry me:

1. if he lets me drive his car twice. 😬

4 Sleater-Kinney 2
4 TOTD 2
6 Interpol 1

Honestly have no clue what even TOTD is 🤔

Same publisher, same title, just slapped on as a standard Spirou issue... it's not like Gaston🙂

My bad if I messed that up. 🙂

Alright, we finally dealt with the Egg. Now let's move on to Elvis Presley—that guy is pure legend. I’ve always been obsessed with this line:
"for revenge and midnight are like twin sisters, born at midnight, one just before, the other just after"

Some wise guy once tried to explain the whole depth of that lyric to me on some news forum. Get this: they're like twin sisters, but they aren't actually twins because their birth certificates don't match, you know? That's why he says they're like, implying they're similar yet distinct 😁

mistypanther said:No way. If his shoes actually had holes, he would've stayed home. Get it? The hole is a metaphor, just like the shoe and the rain.

They ripped on his way from the stadium to his place. I mean, you have no idea how far it is walking from Central Park to Kansas... Oakland 😁

Masonic conspiracy

Walking through puddles, autumn rain... 🙂 🙂 🙂

Man, he’s just singing. It was fall, and his shoes were trashed. You really think everything needs some deep, hidden meaning? Newsflash: it doesn't. 😬

mistypanther said:So she just went to Kansas and said, "That's all there is to America"? 😕 😢

You’re totally missing the point. It's a metaphor, with a capital M. Dorothy was in Oz (not the prison kind), right? And Oz is basically like Yugoslavia. She realized everything was a mess, turned tail, and headed back to Kansas—which is America. 😁 😁 😁

I gotta hand it to myself, even an Egg wouldn't have come up with something this clever. 🥳
