Chuck, are you seriously getting worked up because they got a 10 from Pitchfork? Why the hell are you even reading Pitchfork? You’re a bigger snob than the actual snobs. 😂

Nicholas King62 said:Anyway, best phrase I dreamed up last night: cocaine loft.

Refers to a gallery above the kitchen where everyone does coke during parties.
I had this architectural dream (about some high-rise in the Rockies designed for corporate execs...) 😳

Majketi top😂 😂 😂

Top 3 cause-and-effect events from last night:
1. My sister got stung by a wasp, twice.
2. When she started screaming, I lunged for the door and slammed my head right into her elbow.
3. That move basically split the wasp in half... with my head... Chuck Norris isn't even on my level. 🙂
He listed Neutral Milk Hotel twice... does that mean they're gonna play them more often? 😍

p.s. Is Poganj on Waits? On Calexico? On Sufjan Stevens? 🤔
Gregory Garcia said:A perfect example is that Thomas Lavric comic "Red Alert." It captures that whole early '80s punk vibe, even looking back at it two decades later. 🙂

👍 😍 😍 😍
Ugh. Been living in Chicago for 8 years and I’m only just realizing there’s actually a difference between a print shop and a copy center. 😬

Just call it a print shop, whatever. It's like saying "chair" vs "seat." Honestly, who cares if it's technically right? 🙂

You holding back? 😲 😲 😲

Fine then.. NP Manu Chao - Lost City. Let's see if there aren't any Rolls-Royce smiley faces popping up about it. ☕

Ontopic:
You guys went a little overboard on the other thread—it’s not about whether we respect people whose music taste we hate, it’s about whether we respect their taste itself. 😕 Those are two totally different things.
And why? Because it happens to be my favorite. I might respect someone else's picks if they overlap with mine, but otherwise, anything they feed me feels like a direct assault on my ears. 😁
Nah. ☕

You mean the sea is to blame? Haha, you can't talk me out of loving this: I only ever heard this track during those blurry, late-night beach parties. No clue what it sounds like when sober people sing it 😳

Samuel Murphy6 said:Why would anyone bother singing? the sea is to blame Guitar on the beach in Malibu? 😕

You have no clue. It's actually pretty funny. 😬
We were out on the beach in Greece around 6 AM, trying to scream our lungs out while sounding totally hoarse. the sea is to blame Just like our neighbors over in Asia. A buddy who overheard some noise while heading to the restroom was dead certain there were cats making money nearby. 😍

P.S. When the anti-person cynics laugh at me for bringing up that guy with a guitar by the beach, I know I'm right. 🥳

Nothing, unless that's literally all you do with your life.

Not me. I’m a total nostalgic. It drives me crazy how nowadays you have to be stuck in some overpriced commercial bubble just to feel like you actually went out. The beaches, the park benches, the town squares—they're all getting emptier, while those pointless coffee shops are getting more crowded. It’s stupid.

You talking about just those specific songs, or playing on the beach in general? Honestly, jamming on the sand with a few bottles of decent wine is the move. It's way better for kids to be out playing music at the beach than stuck in those overpriced trendy cafes that turn into tacky dive bars by midnight and let people catcall passersby.

My little hometown basically turned into Vegas 😢

Saxophone said:Carol Jackson45, man, you're just pure energy.🙂

😕 Why would I even be jealous of someone who isn't even in my industry, let alone a terrible musician on top of that?

Walter Foster52 said:Based on that "measurement," I'm pretty sure she gives Mary goosebumps—and honestly, if her back isn't the hairy part, then we're in trouble. With the right soundtrack playing, those shorts would be terrifyingly hot. 😬

Carol Jackson45 barely has any hair on her arms, just some tiny fuzz, and then there's that thicker patch on her head... 🥳

Carrot, you're always right at heart; 'Scary' is solid. 😉

stormyviper11 said:People play this song way too often at every single event. Honestly, "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" is right on the edge of becoming just as overplayed.

Man, I love that song. 😍

Creedence is basically the gold standard for everything great about Rock and Roll. Honestly, if you’re into punk, American rock, or any simple guitar-driven stuff and you claim not to like CCR, you just don't get it. You're probably just listening to music to act like a snob rather than actually feeling it.

Please, what are you even rambling about regarding how great Creedence is? Nobody said anyone hates their whole discography. It’s just one song—you don't have to jump straight to claiming people hate the entire band. I've loved David Bowie my whole life, but that doesn't stop me from rocking out when I hear Let's Dance or China Girl.

@ redcrane28: I don't even bother with the radio at home. You only hear that stuff drifting out of convenience stores, dive bars, or from some neighbor's house. As for those songs you mentioned, they’re usually just played by some hack street performers, shitty cover bands on a patio, or some drunk guy shredding a guitar at a backyard party.
