Starbucks in Health ·
Man, this totally reminds me of my ex-mother-in-law—she was absolutely convinced that eating ice cream would give you a bladder infection just because it was cold...🤣

I tried explaining it to her so many times—like, hey, the ice cream melts in your mouth anyway and reaches body temp before it even gets near your bladder... plus, infections are caused by bacteria, not temperature... but honestly? It was a lost cause.
She kept changing her underwear every single morning! And she’d only shower once a week!

Diet Coke in Health ·
driftinggull13 said:Toxic???? Less sugar???? There isn't even any sugar in there, let alone less. And as for being toxic—I mean, look at the US, Asia, and Europe—people have been getting poisoned for decades because Diet Coke has been around since 1982 and it’s literally the third most popular soda in the world. Seriously, people are dropping like flies.😉
The ingredients are just zero calories, caffeine (which is actually less than what you get in coffee, especially tea), caramel coloring, aspartame, phosphoric acid, citric acid, sodium, CO2, and good old water. They even have a caffeine-free version if that's more your thing. I don't see which part of that is actually "toxic."

QUESTION: why are Americans, and more and more people everywhere else, becoming so overweight then?
...It's not "toxic" per se, but it is definitely unhealthy!
..Caffeine (that much is common knowledge) messes with your calcium... plus it flushes fluids out of your system, taking valuable minerals and vitamins along with it! (That's why you really need to drink a glass of mineral water alongside your coffee)
...Phosphorus is what makes kids who drink Coke super hyperactive... and it's not just kids either!
Plus—aspartame—it tastes sweet, which automatically triggers your body to process the other sugars already in your system...! After that, you naturally end up craving sweets or hydration... because just like salt, our bodies need sugar to function properly... kind of like fuel for an engine...
Aspartame almost cost me my life... once I stopped using aspartame/saccharin, I dropped 5 pounds almost instantly!... Now I only sweeten things with real sugar—but in moderation! (Like, half a teaspoon max)... Just stick to regular Coke if it's your treat, but watch your health and your figure—focus more on the fat and oil intake!
Best, 👋
Christian Lopez3 said:I’ve been sitting here wondering about something... How much can a church dominated by men living in strict celibacy actually mess with our own sexuality just because of that lifestyle? Like, is it some kind of weird compensation mechanism or what...?

Look, at the end of the day, that's all just theory and history...
I mean, let's be real—they're having sex too, and honestly, probably more than most...
I mean, I'm sure there are definitely people out there living the celibate life—even if it feels totally unnatural to me...
Honestly, I feel like I've already been through this whole phase...
Honestly, when you get down to it, all this talk about Christian celibacy? It’s basically just philosophy at this point... nothing more than high-minded theory.
So, I had this priest tell me once that I should just shape my faith however I need it to be—sort of like, make it fit my own life. It’s a pretty wild thing to hear, honestly. Like, you expect these guys to be super strict about the rules, right? But he was more like, "Hey, do what works for you." It kind of made me stop and think about how much of it is about following a script versus actually finding something real for yourself.
Just because they didn't see my face in church every single Sunday...!? Seriously?
I just told him straight up—look, God is everywhere if you believe, and I’m sure He’s watching over my neck of the woods too... but honestly? I just don't have the bandwidth for church right now. Between everything else going on, I really need to save that time for my kids instead.
Besides that, I honestly just spend every night lying in bed praying that I actually made it through the day like this...
When it comes to sexuality, honestly, it’s just a personal thing—everyone should be able to handle their own business privately.
As long as you can actually shoulder the weight of it... honestly.

Look, man, danger is basically just the spice of life...🥳
