I’ve been keeping a close eye on all the big players from back then right here in Washington, D.C., ever since '92. Even the ones who managed to stack up some serious cash in Euros. Basically, anyone with any real talent or influence has already made the move. As for Bruce Lee, we could probably just have him shipped over via FedEx. P.S. Honestly, picking just five movies feels way too short. I think a list of 12 or even 15 would be much better.

The conservatives are probably off somewhere chilling on a beach with their buddies. But honestly, why do they care so much? Engaging in forum debates is basically just like how Doom views reality—it’s all just noise.
The bottom line is that the right wing consistently pulls maybe 1.2% to 4% of the vote in the real world. The Libertarian Party isn't even truly "right-wing" in any meaningful sense; they just talk big. You could even throw them in a coalition with the Democratic Party in a place like V. Gorica and it wouldn't change much...
And when you look at guys like Pasalic, Petrak, and their whole crew, they barely scrape together 4% of the total vote combined. People usually take a second to think before they head to the polls, asking themselves what these guys actually bring to the table or which foreign leaders would even take them seriously. Once people realize they're just fringe outliers, they end up voting for literally anyone else.

I’m honestly struggling to wrap my head around the vibe here—are we watching this as a straight biopic or what? It feels like a biography, sure, but more specifically, it’s just one slice of life from an incredibly eccentric individual. He’s also dealing with this brutal illness that he—being the absolute lion that he was—just completely ignores. He simply doesn't have the bandwidth for it.
He just doesn't have the time because he’s too busy living 186 miles/h and doing exactly what he loves, always going all out. He isn't sitting there calculating his massive fortune or worrying about how much time he has left.
That’s exactly why everyone seems so terrified whenever he steps into a room, from those bloated Hollywood producers (like that heavy-set Mayer character in the movie) to the incompetent, puffed-up executives over at Pan Am.
It’s hard to capture a personality like that on screen—someone who set the gold standard for aviation and, through sheer Don Quixote-style stubbornness, basically made it possible for regular folks to fly across the USA. Trying to turn dancers and waitresses into overnight superstars is a tall order for any actor.
Honestly, maybe Tim Roth would have nailed it better......
Regardless, HH was a lion in every sense of the word. Since he’s been gone for a while now, it’s high time the critics crawled out of their holes and gave this fallen lion the credit he deserves.
Kudos to the team for putting in the effort to make this film. It might have even hit harder if they had filmed it the way HH lived—without cutting corners and by being a bit more patient when casting the roles. I really think Tim Roth would have been incredible. Still, Leonardo ended up playing it better than I actually expected him to.

I honestly don't get why people are getting so hung up on the word "partisan"?!
The partisans were the ones who actually beat fascism. In Europe, May 9th is celebrated as the day victory over fascism was secured. The NDH was a straight-up fascist state and an ally to Hitler—a non-democratic, racist, fascist regime that was installed via a coup from abroad with help from Mussolini and Hitler. The Nationalist were the military arm of the ruling dictatorship, which makes them fascists by definition. The Domobrani, on the other hand, were just the "regular" army.
Now, look, if you want to argue that the partisans committed crimes, I won't deny that what happened at Bleiburg was a tragedy. But let's be real: the Americans committed atrocities too, like when they bombed Dresden, and later, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Of course, the winners never have to answer for their crimes. But those facts remain clear and undeniable...
I remember hearing about how Gerhard Schroeder keeps a photo on his desk of his father in his Wehrmacht uniform, who died somewhere in Romania around 1944.
He doesn't keep it to try and prove his old man was on the "right side"; he keeps it as a reminder so that history never repeats itself.
It’s vital that we don't repeat the same stupid mistakes and that we actually keep our eyes on the future.
For those who seem to be missing the point: this year marked the 60th anniversary of the American landings in Normandy on D-Day, and not one single idiot tried to accuse those veterans of being criminals.
