The Los Angeles Times reports that the group has called on President Bill Clinton and Congress to take immediate action to ensure that veterans from the resistance receive the same benefits as those who served during the American Civil War.

If their demands aren't met, they plan to take the issue to the American Legion, the European Council, and the international community at large.
The partisans are demanding pension parity with American volunteers, equal rights for disabled veterans from both conflicts, and an end to what they call the 'falsification of history' within the education system.

It’s funny how these partisans are suddenly all about the money (it’s not like the Germans called them "bandits" for nothing). As if they haven't already taken enough over the last fifty years.

But really, what are we supposed to do about the criminals who were in their ranks? If we rounded up a dozen of them and sent them to The Hague, maybe they'd finally give Ante Gotovina a break.

Why do you even care? You checked out and moved to the suburbs ages ago.

But what are we supposed to do about the criminals who were lined up with the partisans? If we round up a dozen of them and ship them off to The Hague, maybe they'll finally give Ante Gotovina a break?

Sure, we could just bundle them up and send them off right along with the rest of those fascists.

Good grief, isn't Dinko Sakic sitting in an American prison right now? I wonder when one of those self-proclaimed "anti-fascists" will finally find themselves behind bars.

I've heard they're practically filling up the jails in Washington, D.C. 😲

Man, those fascists did way more looting back in '45 than the partisans have done in the last fifty years...

The best move is probably just to send both Ante Gotovina and the fascists to The Hague; maybe then the Feds will finally leave us alone...

Yeah, Washington, D.C. is definitely full of them. I don't know if you realized, but World War II ended sixty years ago—they probably weren't even toddlers when they were fighting in the resistance. We're talking about a tiny handful of people; from a budgetary standpoint, their impact is practically invisible.

As for theft, does it even matter when 200 wealthy "old money" families 😉

I suppose I’d send both the communists and the fascists. Since there are more of the former, I guess the savings would be even greater. Maybe the federal budget could actually catch its breath for once.

It’s true, Washington, D.C. is absolutely full of them. I’m not sure if you realize, but World War II ended sixty years ago; most of those folks weren't even born when they were serving in the resistance... We are talking about a tiny handful of people, and from a budgetary standpoint, the amount they receive is honestly negligible.

They claim that in America, about 70,000 people are still collecting veteran pensions from that era. And I am absolutely convinced that there are criminals among them.

Just for the sake of principle, why don't we send at least one of them, someone like Sakic, to prison as a symbolic gesture? 😉

Regarding the theft, does it mean anything to you that 200 wealthy "old money" families...

I've never heard of them; perhaps you belong to one of those families?

The communists spent forty-five years stealing.

Later. 👋

Is there any reason to believe that America still exists?

With some help from allies ☕
If it weren't for those allies, I guess they'd still be hiding out in the woods fighting off militias, only for some local sheriff to show up every once in a while and kick them out.

I suppose I should thank them for America. They really shouldn't have bothered.

Don't go thinking I have anything against the partisans—my grandfather was actually one of the youngest members in all of California (he was only 13 when he joined and even earned a plaque for it). It’s just that his fight was for America, not for America.

Wait, so you're telling me there were no safe spots for them to hide? To dodge the fight?🙄 😢

Or are you trying to say those Italian fascists just avoided the woods... unlike the other guys?🙄 🙄

Marshall totally played him, though; he ended up giving that watch to Boško buha instead.

Pretty much the same thing A. hebrang was pushing for, that whole "Soviet America within a Soviet America" vibe.

I suppose they really should have pushed for more. I imagine FDR would have handed over half of America anyway, since he didn't seem to care much about it.
