Back pain and foot issues in Health ·
Giving advice isn't about being right, it's just trying to help—you should actually say thank you for once... That wasn't even my point, whatever, moving on...☕

As for back pain, I’m lucky enough to be fine, thank God, except maybe if I sit too long (which isn't a big deal)... or if I catch a draft...😁

Then there's my feet... They've always been my weak spot, getting tired and sore pretty fast, but nothing crazy. Then I put on some weight about a year ago, and suddenly my feet started killing me (and now I can't move much because of the pain... so it's just this endless cycle)...

My physical therapist didn't even bother with scans; she just sent me straight to an orthopedist to get some inserts... This doctor had me standing barefoot😁 on some kind of glass plate😛... She looked at my footprint and told me my arches were "collapsing"... then, based on what I was feeling, she went ahead and claimed I have torn ligaments (if I remember right)... something microscopic... like they'll just heal up in six months to a year... 🤔

So that's just how I'm handling it—wearing my inserts when I can, massaging my feet whenever I get a chance... I'm terrible at staying consistent with exercises (that's just how I am, ugh)... and that's basically it. Still, I feel like there's some connection between the tingling and that "nervous" feeling in my spine and my feet... which is why I'm asking all this.

If anyone has dealt with this, please weigh in...

Thanks... 🎉

So then why the hell are they claiming dark chocolate is some kind of superfood?! Like, supposedly eating 100 grams of it every day just magically fixes your blood sugar and lowers high blood pressure?!?🙄

Oh, come on, don't get all high and mighty with me... we all dish out advice whenever we feel like it, but that doesn't exactly make us any wiser or better people...😉

Anyway, back to the topic at hand... I've got physical therapy scheduled (specifically some spinal massage), should I be playing it safe here, or is this exactly what I need?!?

Ugh, Betty Rivera14... same here!😛

Anyway, question for nimbleskipper13... Since I’m definitely not on speaking terms with doctors (if you actually want to know how much of a disaster that conversation was, I’ll give you the tea), I gotta know—what am I even supposed to do if I refuse to deal with them on this topic? What would you do if you were stuck in my shoes?...

And what is the point of all those scans anyway? Like, what happens after?...

Look, I'm no expert, so I have zero clue what the fallout is gonna be... which is why you're here... 😉

So, what am I even supposed to do now?!... (other than wearing these orthopedic inserts... which are basically just torture devices at this point!😛)

Total nonsense 🙂

- Believe it or not, I actually followed all that!😁
But what does a pinched nerve have to do with my feet?!😕

So, you think this whole thing is just some big joke, huh!?

They're getting flatter, that's how! And they hurt...

I’ve never had flat feet in my life!

This whole pain thing started about six months ago...

They’re telling me it’s actually a spinal issue (like "dropping feet" or whatever), but I have zero clue how that even works...🙏

Can someone break down how these two things actually link up? Like, what kind of domino effect does one person's health issues have on the other...?

I spend way too much time glued to my desk, both at work and at home, so I've got spondylosis. My back is constantly tight or aching, but now my feet are starting to go numb or feel weak. Plus, I get this weird "jittery" sensation in them, if you know what I mean? It kicks in when I walk too long... or even just sitting still while my spine starts acting up.

Anyone else dealt with this or figured out how it works? Let me know...

So what, we're doing boycotts now?😢

I'm starting to think mistybear4 is reeeaaally inspiring you guys!!!😁

- Seriously... just grab some regular cotton balls and make your own plugs... They're totally harmless and you'll get used to them in no time.😉

Honestly, it’s not just the noise that gets me, it’s that grating, tense tone some people use... it actually makes me feel sick when people have zero class in how they talk!... 😵

Honestly, 40mg feels like way too much (half that would totally do the trick)... Just get the rest from your food instead...

Wait, is it actually true that chocolate—like, cocoa itself—is packed with iron?!

This feels like a total game of telephone! If you’re asking the same "expert professors" I asked back at my university, then the stories definitely don't line up...

They told me the limit is 20-25mg, and that you can take them in tablet form indefinitely without any issues!...

If anyone's got different info, let me know!

Did you guys know salt is actually way more useful on the outside than the inside?

Like, you should be tossing it in your bath to relax and revitalize your skin. Apparently, it calms everything down and even boosts your immune system (I read that and was like, no way!).

Mix it with vinegar and it works for treating skin tags—they just vanish!...

It’s also great for gargling or rinsing out your nose...

And if you mix it with olive oil, it’s amazing for burns!...

To detox your body, just drink a salt water solution regularly for a few days!

For sore spots or when you're feeling under the weather—just put a warm salt pouch over it...

Or use it as a face mask: mix it with honey, let it sit for 15 mins, then rinse and moisturize. Your skin will feel so clean and fresh!

Does anyone actually know the limit on how long you can go taking zinc tablets? Like, what's the max...

Ever realize how massive zinc is for your health and where you can actually find it? It’s huge for fighting off viruses and allergies, boosts sperm motility, helps with osteoporosis, skin issues, hearing/vision problems, heart disease, and even stuff like epilepsy or schizophrenia.

You can get it from oysters, clams, fish like herring, liver, red meat, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, mushrooms... Just watch out because phytic acid in grains and soy totally kills its absorption!!!

Anyone else an expert on this?
Drop some knowledge...

Honestly, I don't know enough about this whole "eat the rainbow" theory to be an expert, but since I brought it up, everyone suddenly expects me to give a PhD-level lecture on nutrition...

- Seriously?! She’s totally right about this! DUDE, just read the textbook and let us actually talk about specific foods instead of lecturing us!!!

Either drop some links so people can look it up themselves... stop giving us a play-by-play summary of those boring-ass books!!!

Yeah, you're real convincing, we all definitely noticed...🙂

Ugh, give me a break... I’m getting a headache just reading these massive rants... just a bunch of obvious stuff mixed with pure amateur nonsense!

First off, a shake is never a meal replacement. Not only can some processed sludge never replicate what nature actually provides, but if you get your gut used to that crap, you won't even be able to digest real food properly later on... it'll be a disaster!...

Second, who told you that your plate needs to be some rainbow of colors?!? You shouldn't even be eating two types of veggies at once, let alone mixing veggies, bread, and meat... Every single food item has its own digestion time, so you should be eating them sequentially, not all at once. And don't even get me started on mixing different protein sources; like eating beans and steak together, or soy and mushrooms...

And for heaven's sake, keep your posts short, nobody's reading all that online!

Look, I'm not trying to start an argument since you clearly know your stuff 😁, but I gotta share what I've heard... I read somewhere that they basically debunked that whole egg and cholesterol theory, though I can't quite remember the actual math behind it...

But maybe we should look at this differently. When you're comparing cholesterol levels in different foods, aren't you looking at the percentage per weight? Even if eggs have more cholesterol, nobody sits down and eats eggs in the same quantities as meat or milk... Like, how many grams is an average egg anyway—maybe 30?

Also, you're comparing them to milk and veal, right? But don't forget that people go way heavier on high-fat dairy like cheeses—which are blowing up everywhere lately—and even pork (at least here in the States😉)!

Speaking of those (un)saturated fats, give us some pointers. What's the absolute worst stuff to stay away from?

Thanks.👋
