I’m calling on all the experienced nutritionists and biochemists out there to jump into this amateur debate. Look, the whole point is for us to actually learn something. We need to swap knowledge and experiences and then let the pros vet everything... so we aren't stuck wasting our lives in doctor's waiting rooms!🙂
Am I supposed to formulate the question myself?! There aren't even questions here, just endless threads! I’ve already explained twice how I see things, but it’s useless... because wherever Mac shows up, nothing good grows (go check out the allergy threads, seriously!!!). All you're left with is the wreckage from a tank called Wellness!!!🤮
When we're talking about "frying" meat on a grill—or rather, searing it in its own fat—you might end up consuming less total grease, but you're still getting all those nasty carcinogens created by frying, plus the charring effect from the grill. At least that's my amateur take... 🙂
And don't even get me started on cholesterol and eggs. It's just another "hocus pocus" way to manipulate gullible, sick people. Ever since they "cracked the code," some people turn these foods into Hollywood dietary superstars, while others demonize them! They claim eggs are toxic, only for it to come out later that the whole thing was just hype built on a massive misconception! As it turns out, eggs don't even have nearly as much cholesterol as fried meat or heavy dairy products. 🙂
For example, they push this narrative that C-vitamin is some kind of magic bullet (sure, it's helpful for certain things, but it's not the elixir of life!) and claim you can't have too much because your body just flushes it out. That's what the salespeople tell you so they can peddle it alongside some overpriced "miracle supplement" to drive up the price, since plain old C-vitamin is cheap. Then you find out you shouldn't overdo it either, especially if you've dealt with kidney stones... which happened to me. Plus, you have to take it in buffered tablets so you don't end up with a stomach ulcer from the acidity! Honestly, when food or supplements are put on a pedestal or totally vilified just for marketing reasons, logic goes right out the window... it's always extremes!🙂
But hey, keep listening to those "preachers"... Their only goal is to grab your cash, and they don't care how they do it (they even promised to stop spamming the allergy topic because everyone asked, yet he just doubled down and keeps bombarding us with that junk)! 🙏
1. Regarding that cheese dough, I realized the cheese basically acts as the leavening agent, so the whole recipe felt totally nonsensical to me...🙂
2. Listen, mistybear4, you've been spamming us hard enough with those ads on other threads and forums to actually learn something! We all know what this is. We know exactly where this leads... straight to Wellness !!!🙏
3. This space is supposed to be about specific foods and how they affect the body (so people can actually learn the basics)! This propaganda stuff is super light on actual info, way too much advertising, and just takes up too much room on this forum!👎
4. Seriously, is there even a moderator lurking around here somewhere...🙄
Here’s a little marketing trick to lure in all those milk fanatics from the other thread! 😂
Look, the calcium in milk is basically useless for 70-80% of people because it's "trapped" inside casein, which most folks can't even digest... so you're way better off sticking to sesame, soy, poppy seeds, hazelnuts, almonds, or root veggies... they've got plenty of calcium too!
Man, I am seriously craving some smoked soy cheese and sesame bagels right nowmmm! 🙂
He’s a doctor by trade, not an engineer... You don't need to act like a know-it-all, there's always gonna be something you don't get...
As for mistybear4's advice, half of it is common sense and the other half is just plain stupid! Since when was processed food considered "healthy"?! And using cheese to leaven dough??? Is that what people are doing for pie crusts now?!🙂
Seriously, if you actually know what you're talking about, please start posting about specific foods (fruits, veggies, meat) and what they actually do for you (+/-)!
By the way, speaking of Sugar (since everyone claims it's poison)... Some herbalist told me it’s especially bad for me specifically (and I am a total sucker for sweets... mistybear4, don't you dare start preaching to me now🙂)... but they said I can actually have it (besides just fruit and honey) if it's been cooked down for at least 40 minutes, like in jams or preserves... Does anyone actually know what the science is behind that? ☕
I gotta say, granitesailor33 totally nailed it (assuming you actually have the time to be some kind of gourmet chef)...
But honestly, I saw this thread as a way to swap tips on specific ingredients. Like, what they’re actually good for, what’s inside them, the best ways to cook with them, stuff like that...
Take strawberries—they're a huge allergen for some, but if you aren't allergic, they're pure heaven.
I read somewhere that it works for all skin types, though most tests were done on fair skin... basically the gold standard. 😉
ironcyclist78 said:Look, I was just using the road as a metaphor. I could've picked anything else, but I'm pretty sure the point I made—which I already explained twice—is crystal clear. I didn't think this thread was some debate about civil engineering, it's about human sexuality and the right to it...
Did you guys even know... Yeah, like, strawberries actually have insane antibacterial properties. They're great for soothing a sore throat and are loaded with useful minerals... For skin, they're a total game changer: just smash a strawberry and smear it on your face like a mask for a bit. You'll see the difference instantly!
This thread is all about how certain foods actually mess with our bodies—for better or for worse.
We all know the drill: some stuff is straight-up cancer-causing or spikes your cholesterol, while other things actually help drop blood sugar levels and boost your immune system...
So, spill everything you know! Let's get the facts out there and bust some myths once and for all!... 🙂 🙂
So if it’s actually true that they named it after Coke and it originally had coca leaves in it, maybe it was back when things weren't such a huge deal... like, it wasn't illegal enough to be insanely expensive yet. Plus, you could be talking about the leaf itself, not some processed cocaine
I mean, surely someone isn't too lazy to actually look up how soda was invented and where the name came from. A little Google magic goes a long way.
I'm just not having it...

Thank God someone finally gets what I'm saying. I never even mentioned cocaine! It all just depends on whether you actually want to understand something or not...😕
Makes total sense! They claim there’s zero Coca-Cola in it, yet they still guard that recipe like it’s some holy grail secret!😁
By the way, did you guys know most junk food we eat is loaded with "flavor enhancers" that basically make you hooked? Ever feel like you just finished a Fanta and suddenly you're craving even more?...🙄
Guys! Coca-Cola is literally named that because it’s got a tiny bit of "coke" in it... you can get hooked so easily, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it! Plus, it wrecks your stomach because "Cola," just like any other soda, is packed with soda... have you ever seen those people drinking baking soda dissolved in water?! That's basically what it is.
It also makes you bloat (like anything carbonated does) and is loaded with sugar and additives! It's trash!
And if you want to see how "healthy" Cola actually is, check out this experiment: soak a piece of liver in it overnight—there's nothing left by morning! A cat probably ate it!😛
It all comes down to how much junk food you're slamming and how often you're hitting the restroom. Some people are in there like three or four times a day, while others go once every three days...
