The pros and cons of milk in Health ·
I was reading somewhere that drinking too much milk actually leaches calcium right out of your bones, and apparently, that’s a huge reason behind osteoporosis since everyone is consuming so many dairy products these days. Personally, milk doesn't bother my stomach or anything, but it still makes me a little uneasy when I read stuff like that... In the mornings, I’d much rather have some muesli with milk than yogurt, but it's just one bowl and I always make sure to have some yogurt too. My absolute favorite is kefir. I really wish we could find more organic options here in the States, like they have in places like Germany that placidjackal97 was talking about.
Sesame seeds actually have even more calcium than the foods I just mentioned, which is why you really need to keep your diet varied. I'm not entirely sure which foods make it easiest for the body to absorb it, though... One thing I do know is that vegetarians who cut out dairy completely run a real risk of a B12 deficiency. They usually have to take supplements because it's way easier for your body to soak up B12 from animal products than from plant-based sources.
If you find that the cream actually works for you, you might want to look into the professional treatments too... but honestly, one session just isn't enough. Usually, they start you off at a 30% strength, then bump it up to 40%, and just keep climbing until you hit 70%. I personally decided to stop at 50%... but yeah, the higher the percentage, the better the results. Yours will definitely be better than mine, though I can never seem to get my skin exactly where I want it 🙂

Lisa Ortiz17 said:Oranges are like 5 bucks for a $2.75 bag, and bananas are around 6. You can find crates of oranges super cheap at Trader Joe's, plus all kinds of other fruit. I can never finish a whole pineapple before it goes bad, so I usually just grab it on a Saturday and it's gone in two days. Don't even try telling me fruit is expensive. Besides, there's always apples or pears... whatever you're into.
I eat bananas because they actually keep me full. I mentioned somewhere before that there was this one month where things got really rough for me. I used to clench my stomach just so it wouldn't make any noise 😁 ... It's honestly good to give your body a break with a fruit day. Obviously, eating nothing but fruit would be crazy, but I mix it with milk (I drink soy) and lemonades, which isn't pricey at all. I use honey instead of artificial sweeteners. And I always keep some hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, or dried fruit on me. Oh, and peanuts, in the shell too.
I just let my body digest whatever I ate (depending on if it was proteins or carbs, so like, wait 3 or 4 hours before eating again). 🙂

My stomach used to cramp up too, but if I had kept going like that, I seriously would've passed out... Finding cheap fruit isn't the issue; I can find bananas and apples—my favorites—for $1.75 even though I don't live in Washington, D.C. I've eaten pineapple maybe once in my life, so I have no clue what it costs. You mentioned eating nuts, which in my opinion doesn't count as "regular" fruit, and since they're so high in calories, I bet you could definitely make it to lunch. Plus, it's not like my job allows me to snack all the time, and I'd feel super awkward eating when everyone else is busy.

I totally agree with what someone said about eating fruit between meals or even on an empty stomach. That's actually what a doctor told my mom because she deals with MS.
I went in hoping to clear up some freckles, but honestly, they look exactly the same as they did before I started. The esthetician hyped up this glycolic acid peel so much that I actually agreed to it, and looking back, I just feel like I threw my money down the drain...
Later on, I saw another well-known specialist who told me straight up that my skin tone was actually great and I didn't really need anything, but I still tried microdermabrasion just to see if it would work. Nope, no luck there either.
Now, I'm done wasting cash on these procedures and I've stopped buying all those glycolic acid creams since they clearly don't do a thing for me. At this point, I've just made peace with how my face looks...

Lisa Ortiz17 said:Just fruit. For example, this morning: I squeezed two oranges right when I woke up, then grabbed a banana on my way out, and by the time I got to work, I had half a pineapple, a banana, and a tangerine... basically snacking on that until lunch. Pretty much every day like that... 🙂

Man, I wish I could do that, but it’s just not worth the money. Plus, if I only ate fruit, I’d be starving in like twenty minutes.
For me, nothing beats sugar-free muesli, maybe a slice of toast with honey, and a cup of skim milk. I can seriously eat a ton in the morning, but because of that, I never touch anything after 6 PM.

I just found out the other day that some bakeries actually dye white bread just to pass it off as whole grain, which is what I’ve been buying all this time. I thought I was eating healthy, but honestly, I’m just so pissed off about it...
