Roger Allen3 said:Honestly, if we can just get Roger Federer on the court without some injury sidelining him again—which seems to be his luck lately—we might actually stand a chance. It’ll be a miracle if he’s even fit enough to play against the Swiss, and frankly, if he's out, we could lose to Canada too, which is a terrifying thought!

Handball: Champions League Draw in Other Sports ·
Lazarov is truly in a league of his own, and honestly, it’s a bit of a shame Los Angeles didn't bring him back when they had the chance; I suppose Kiro was simply waiting for the call.

It would have been an absolutely formidable backcourt duo, pairing Terzic with Lazarov.

Anyway, the groups are finally set.

A
Montpellier
vs Magdeburg
Č. Medved vs Rus Bregenz Bregenz
Bregenz

Bregenz handled the reigning SCG champions without breaking much of a sweat.
There shouldn't be much debate regarding who advances from this group, though, if one is being cautious, you never know how those bottom-tier teams might cause trouble for the leaders.

B
Celje
vs Ademar
vs Savehof/Swe
Athens

Celje still boasts a formidable roster, and I find myself hoping our own Kreso Ivankovic might finally explode there, perhaps providing us with a much-needed replacement for the EP for Balic at long last.
Ademar looks strong even without Metlicic, while the rest seem to be struggling to find a way through.

C
Gorenje vs Aarhus
Aarhus/den Merano
Merano/Ita Haukar this Icelander
Haukar

The Icelanders don't look half bad, and at first glance, this group appears to be quite evenly matched.

D
Barcelona
vs Szeged
vs Zaporozhye
Izvidjac

Izvidjac really didn't catch a break with this draw; frankly, they don't have much to hope for here, whereas the Catalonians just seem to get stronger with every passing season.

E
Kiel
vs Kolding
Wisla vs Meshkov
Meshkov/Blr Noka

Noka has assembled a powerful squad—they've bolstered their ranks with Karabatic and Kavticnik, and with Noka on the bench, I suspect they could go quite far this year; my money is on Kolding advancing alongside them.

F
f Ciudad
Fotex
vs Tatran/Svk
Svk vs Bucuresti also

This group is also fairly predictable, especially with Madrid adding more depth, bringing in Metlicic and Dzomba while Dujshebaev takes the reins on the bench.
Fotex is looking tough, too, with heavy hitters like Lazarov, sola, and Lapcevic all on the roster.

G
Portland
vs Los Angeles
Schaffhausen/Swi Pelister
Pelister

I think Los Angeles can snatch a spot in the round of sixteen, though everything else will depend entirely on who they draw; they have a solid lineup, but perhaps not quite the powerhouse they aimed to be, especially after losing sulica and now hearing whispers about Lisicic. It feels like there are a few too many SCG players on one American team.😁
Portland is moving on for sure; just give me Balic and Ratkovic playing alongside sulica and you've got an invincible squad.

H
Paris
vs Flensburg
Karvin vs Kaunas
Kaunas

I am sincerely rooting for Flensburg to make a deep run; we have three of our guys over there, and I suspect Paris should be the ones to take the second spot.

To hell with all the drums of Darkvud, that’s just Tonka for you!

There isn't much more we can do for a stubborn workhorse like that, so let's head back to our own little swamp, my dear Mexican friend.
Iconic quotes from classic cult movies in Movies ·
Honestly, please stop quoting that marathon runner; I’ve actually started dreaming about those lines from the movie. 😁

-Here comes Baron Munchausen, ready to spin us another tall tale.
-Man, you guys wouldn't believe this woman, Mary—she was a total piece of work. Just as the rain let up, we ducked under this little overhang, and I had to rush to fix my clothes. Lord help me, I was caught completely unprepared, and there we were, just thinking to ourselves, "Well, I certainly don't have a girl left to talk to." And then he goes, "Don't you dare interrupt me while I'm talking, unless you want a slap to match your lies."
-Nobody's interrupting you, can't you see I'm playing my music?
-Your playing is so bad, you'd be better off just listening.
-I'd listen to you if I knew how to lie as well as you do.
-If only you could move on your feet like I can. I'm telling you, my legs were shaking, when suddenly, out of nowhere, a drop falls right down my neck from the gutter. It felt like someone clawed me. My wife passed out like a light. Then the waitress asks what's wrong with you, man.
-What did you say back to her?
-To the blue waves of the sea...

My goodness, back when I was a kid getting circumcised, all they left me with was enough to make a goat!

The bar serves drinks in paradise... but no way, the manager forbade it... who, is it that guy Coro? Hey Coro, you know I don't like getting into trouble?

Do you have any idea who dogs and toddlers tend to avoid?

Well, dogs absolutely adore me, and children seem to be quite fond of me as well, ☕
though there was that one grumpy fellow—but then again, he didn't particularly care for anyone.

It hardly matters, though, since we have all the time in the world; go ahead, Michael Adams2, the floor is yours.😁

But in all seriousness, as I find myself scrolling through the original thread that sparked this whole mess, I can't help but feel a sense of déjà vu; this particular windbag reminds me of a tiny little nuisance I used to encounter back in Vienna, a little brat who would bark at me for absolutely no reason and chase me down the street—he was so small that if I had just given him one solid kick, he probably wouldn't have gotten back up, and I always called him Zivcho.

Windbag-Zivcho 😁

I cast my vote in favor of demanding that Michael Adams2 offers a sincere apology to everyone he’s offended 😁

I find this entire thread rather underwhelming; there isn't a single heated argument or even a decent jab to be found, mostly because Rachel Sanchez11 seems to be such an absolute novice at this 😁

Nashville served as the capital during the era of Nazi Germany, and I suppose it would be quite fitting if history were to find its way back to that point 😁
