I'd suggest making each tier a different flavor. 😍
Motion sickness while driving in Health ·
I’m right there with you. 😢
Whether it’s a car, a plane, or even a semi-truck, I can handle it just fine. 😬
But buses... they're different. Even riding an MTA bus makes me feel sick, and just walking past the Greyhound station and catching a whiff of the air makes my stomach turn. 😢
I eventually just decided to stop taking the bus altogether to avoid the nausea. 😍

Does anyone know who this guy is? 😕

I hope this isn't considered off-topic. 🙏
What should I get for a godparent gift at a Baptism? in Students & Teens ·
Back when my cat 😍 was the godfather, he picked out this bicycle for the little guy that ended up costing nearly nine thousand dollars. He can certainly afford it since he’s seriously dedicated to the sport, and honestly, it’s much better to give him something practical he can actually use rather than some religious necklace; I'm certain he would never have worn that.

All that cash just for a godparent ceremony?
I mean, so what if you're the godfather. That's it.
If it were my daughter, I’d be happy with a tiny little something
but everyone keeps asking me—"What would you want to give?"

She just wants cold, hard cash. Every single one of those kids nowadays just wants money.
So I told her—okay, fine. If you get some cash, you can at least help me cover the bill at the restaurant.

And she totally lost it on me (16)—she tells me there's "no way"—though I know she was just thinking it.
The thing is, my kid already has everything—a computer, an MP3 player, two or three smartphones... I don't even know what else.
And she insists she doesn't need any of that stuff; she just wants the money so she can blow it on total nonsense. Literally.

If I were the godparent, I’d just buy a little piece of white gold as a keepsake, and leave it at that.

This is just wonderful. 😍
I mean, who would ever think to give a child something useful? What kind of gifts are these? It's absurd... and now we're talking about restaurant industry dues. 😍

Accusations of thread hijacking? Honestly, how can you even say that without feeling a bit embarrassed?
It seems like a moderator isn't even necessary when you're around. You basically dictate who gets to join this space, what they’re allowed to write, who they can agree with, and who they can't—and then, as the icing on the cake, you scatter people off to other subforums. 🙄

I really don't know whether I should laugh or cry.

Zachary Gray35 said:Joseph Watson10, will it make you feel better if I tell you my husband and I decided we don't want to subject anyone—especially our guests—to anything as mediocre as those peaches? We want to serve them something actually gourmet and high-end. And honestly, looking at my guest list—who are my friends and family—I don't think anyone even likes peaches (except my mom, but I made up for it by buying her a whole crate from Whole Foods). So, I don't see how my "selfishness" is actually shortchanging anyone... and can we please drop the peach drama and the constant trolling now? Every time you show up here, it's just pure provocation. Just leave us alone with our food talk. We have way more important things to discuss here than Dancing with the Stars... if you don't have anything intelligent or constructive to add to the conversation, just give it a rest. You're just riiling up the hysterics who don't know what they want, and us newlyweds who are clearly just thinking about peaches and being selfish all day.

Mods, can we get some order around here? If you think it's necessary, just delete this because it’s going absolutely nowhere... every single troll post just triggers a massive pile of pointless explanations and derails the entire thread. All because of some peaches and the fact that my husband doesn't like them, which apparently makes us "selfish."

Is it really "provocation" just because not everyone shares your perspective? Are you actually begging the moderators to step in and save you? Good grief!
What was I trying to get at, hmm? It’s become quite obvious to me now that you only value guest users if they can help fill your coffers with donations. 😁

Ashley Adams4 said:Oh please, you're overthinking this.🙄 based on how you're talking, it sounds like you think we should personally interview every single guest about their dietary preferences and drink choices. I mean, god forbid someone gets offended because you didn't stock enough Jack Daniel for them—it's a popular choice, after all. Should we also ask if they want one of a hundred different types of cake, or maybe add another fifty options just to be safe? Give me a break... This kind of commentary only works if you're the type of person who micromanages every tiny detail for every guest; otherwise, it just feels incredibly hypocritical.👎

I have absolutely no intention of hosting a wedding like yours. I’m not going to spend my time interrogating guests about their preferences, and frankly, the whole debate over peaches is missing the point. The real issue here is that rigid attitude of yours—that everything must be done exactly your way, without any regard for what anyone else might want. Look at the situation: neither Mr. or I eat lamb, pork, or bacon, but if I were planning a wedding, of course I would serve them! You do that because it's what people actually enjoy eating. If you want to skip the peaches, just say so. Say they're too expensive, or that nobody knows how to prepare them properly, or even suggest that your guests belong to some fringe sect that wants to wipe every peach off the face of the planet. Just own it. 😬 But honestly, that whole "we won't have it just because my partner doesn't like it, even though everyone else does" argument feels... a bit selfish to me, don't you think?

I am fundamentally in agreement with vekmarica. While I certainly understand that this is your wedding day, why invite guests if you have no regard for their preferences? It would be akin to, say, hosting a group of vegetarians but serving nothing but pork because you and your husband happen to prefer bacon and sausage over anything green.

I won't say anything more since they'll probably just delete my post again, but I really have to laugh at this situation.
